The Final Movie Review 306

The Final is a 2010 thriller/horror which is directed by Joey Stewart and starring Marc Donato, Jascha Washington, Justin Arnold and Lindsay Seidel.

The movie begins with a disfigured girl in a diner. People are staring at her and she is getting upset. There is a flashback. The setting is high school and there are a group of people being bullied by jocks and princesses. The jocks are hassling outcasts Dane(Donato), Jack(Eric Isenhower) and Emily(Lindsay Seidel) is being bulled by the bitchy princesses led by Bridget(Whitney Hoy). The outcasts are planning something though and it is not going to be pretty. Dane has been left a house by his uncle and it is isolated. It is perfect for their plan. They lure all of the popular kids there by telling them that there will be a huge party. It is a dress up party so they can wear masks etc.

Once there, Dane and his pals drug the kids and chain them. One of them is Kurtis(Washington) who has been a friend to the bullied kids. He came along to the party even though they didn't want him to. The torture of the bullies begins and some of them are forced to do horrible things to each other. Dane begins to get worse and worse until he loses his mind. His desire for revenge makes him want to kill everyone.
Kurtis is given a key to his chains ans manages to escape. He calls the police and manages not to get himself killed. Dane and his friends have let things get out of control and when Kurtis comes back to try and stop him, he shoots him but doesn't kill him. Emily shoots Dane, realising that he is out of control.Jack shoots her and when the police arrive, he shoots himself after telling them that there are more of them out there. It is revealed at the end of the movie that the disfigured girl is Bridget, the bully.

Not a bad movie. I liked the premise and I enjoyed the bullied kids getting their chance for revenge. It was entertaining and it moves along pretty well. All in all, it is worth a watch especially if you enjoy revenge movies! I will give it a 5/10.

I went from one end of the pendulum to the other with this movie. In one way I loved it and enjoyed it, but then in another way I hated it and didn't like the direction the plot went. However, it was a great revenge movie and I stuck through it because I wanted to see how it ended.
