The Walking Dead,Season 3, Episode 12 and 13

Episode 12 begins with Rick, Carl and Michonne going to get weapons for their upcoming war. They pass a hitchhiker but don't stop to pick him up. They arrive at Rick's old Sheriff station and he looks for arms, but someone has taken everything. They are attacked by someone and Carl shoots him. They look under his mask to see who it is and it is Morgan who Rick first met in the very beginning of the series. He had promised to keep in touch via walkie talkie with Rick but they had lost contact. They take him back to his house which is rigged with booby traps. They see that he has all the guns etc and that he has been living alone, setting up traps everywhere. His mind has gone.

Carl and Michonne go and look for a crib for the baby but Carl wants to get something and he won't tell Michonne what it is. He wants to go off on his own, but she won't let him. They go to a cafe and Carl gets a picture of his family which was hanging up behind the counter. Michonne understands why he wanted to go and get it. They get ambushed by walkers, but somehow they survive. Rick and Morgan face off after Morgan wakes up and stabs Rick, not realising who he is.; They talk about what happened to Morgan's son. He was bitten by a walker and Morgan has been living in the house, just surviving since.
Rick asks him to come back and join his group but Morgan is happier on his own. They leave him to it and drive back, seeing the dead hitchhiker on the way. They take his backpack and drive on.

Episode 13 begins with Rick, Daryl and Hershel arriving at an abandoned shed and it becomes apparent that they are meeting someone. The Governor and Rick have arranged a meeting between them and they are going to talk about the upcoming battle and see if there can be some compromise. That is what Andrea thinks is going to happen anyway. The Governor is no fool, though and he has a gun pointed at Rick underneath the table even after dropping his guns in front of him. Rick puts down his weapon too and they talk. The Governor wants Rick to hand over Michonne and that will put an end to the war. Rick doesn't know if that is a good idea. They agree to come back to the shed and Rick will tell The Governor his decision.

Rick and the others leave. Rick tells his group that The Governor is going to try and kill them all. He was not fooled by his promises. He tells them that war is on. He talks to Hershel about what really happened and tells him about The Governor's offer. He tells him that he was tempted to hand her over. Hershel tells him that she has saved lives and that he can't trust The Governor. Rick knows this, but he is still tempted to give her over to The Governor in case he will keep his promise.. Two good episodes..Only a few left now, so there should be plenty happening in the next few weeks!

Buried Alive Movie Review 280

Buried Alive is a 2007 horror movie directed by Robert Kurtzman and starring Terence Jay, Leah Rachel and Tobin Bell.

Zane(Jay) is a college student who is going up to an old house owned by his family for the weekend. He
brings along his friend Phil, his cousin Renee(Rachel), his pal Danny(Steve Sandvoss) and two sorority pledges, Julie and Laura. They meet the caretaker of the place, Lester(Bell) who lives close by the house.
He is a weirdo and he was digging in the basement before they came. He was looking for gold which is meant to be buried there. Zane's great grandfather was suspected of killing his wife and burying her alive.
Renee has a necklace with a design on it that Zane gave to her. It belonged to the wife who was supposed to have been buried alive. It was found in the ashes of the great grandfathers house which burned down.
Zane begins seeing an old woman with a axe who looks evil and of course you know that she is the ghost or whatever of the wife who was murdered and she is looking for revenge on the descendants of her husband who killed her..

The rest of the film revolves around the kids getting murdered etc and the old woman showing up looking menacing. It is a mediocre film at best and there wasn't much to it. Tobin Bell was someway entertaining as Lester, but the rest of the cast were crap to put it bluntly. It was not a good film and I found myself looking at how much was left before I gave up on it. I hung in there and watched it all, but it isn't one that I would recommend. Silly and irritating after a while, this one gets a 3/10.

The Walking Dead, Season 3, Episode 11

Last time, The Governor had launched an attack on Rick and the others. They survived it, but they know that that will not  be the end of it.

Carl and Hershel think that maybe Rick needs to stand down as leader and let someone else take over. Meanwhile, in Woodury, The Governor is rallying the troops and getting everyone ready for a war. He is arming people and Andrea doesn't like it. Milton, the scientist guy, is told to befriend her and get information from her about where her loyalties really lie. He and Andrea come upon Tyreese and his crew while they are out in the woods capturing a walker so that Andrea can head off to the prison and talk to Rick. Milton takes Tyreese and his group back to Woodbury and Andrea leaves.

She arrives at the prison but Rick and his group are suspicious of her. She wants to make peace with them and she tells them that they should try and come to some agreement with The Governor. Rick doesn't think that this is possible and he wants her to help them get into Woodbury and take them by surprise. She won't help them.Michonne tries to talk to Andrea about The Governor and tells her how dangerous he is. Andrea seems to know this, but she still won't abandon him. The Governor talks to Tyreese and his friends and asks them about the prison etc. He agrees to let them stay as long as they tell him about the layout of the prison.Andrea talks to the others in the group and she realises that maybe The Governor is a bit dodgy. She returns to Woodbury and when he is asleep, Andrea brings out a knife and contemplates killing The Governor but can't do it.

A good episode, everything is gearing up for a face off between the two groups!!Bring it on!!!

Death Line Movie Review 279

Death Line  a.k.a. Raw Meat is a 1973 horror movie directed by Gary Sherman(Dead and Buried) and starring Donald Pleasence(Halloween) and Norman Rossington.

A man is in a tube station in London. He is trying to pick up a woman when he is attacked by someone.
A couple, Alex(David Ladd) and Patricia(Sharon Gurney) see the man lying in the station and they run to find help. They tell a policeman and he comes with them to see the man. When they arrive back, he has gone and they are baffled.Inspector Calhoun(Pleasence) finds out about this and he finds out that the man who has disappeared is called James Manfred and he is an OBE. He sends Detective Rogers(Rossington) to interview Alex and see what happened. Alex is brought into the station and the cops interview him. In the tunnels by the tube station, there are loads of dead bodies and Manfred is there. There is a hideous man living down there with his wife who is dying. He is feeding her the blood of his victims including Manfred's but she dies anyway.

People begin to disappear in the tube station. Rogers find out that there is some man living down in the tunnels. He asks Alex if he saw anyone else in the tube station that night. Alex didn't. The cops find blood in the tube station along with dead bodies. The blood doesn't belong to them and it belongs to someone who has horrible sickness. Alex and Patricia are in the same tube station when Alex gets stuck on the train, leaving Patricia alone. The weirdo grabs her and brings her down to the tunnels. Alex looks for her but he can't find her. He goes to the cops and tells them that she has gone missing. He decides to go down to the tunnels and look for her. The weirdo tries to rape Patricia but she manages to run off. Alex spots her and chases them. It all comes to a head and Alex attacks the weirdo and seems to have killed him. The cops arrive and everything is exposed. They find Manfred and they are looking through the bodies and the weirdo.

This was an entertaining movie. It is cheap with not much in the way of shocks or scares but it was fine all the same. I will give it a 5/10.
