Jennifer's Body Movie Review 69
Okay, the first thing that I will say about this movie is that it is crap. I am going to say that straight away. There is nothing that I liked about it and I would be extremely happy never to see it again. It was totally lacking any sort of imagination or scares. That is MY opinion. If you liked it, then you are easily pleased.
So, most people will have heard of this movie already due to the fact that Megan Fox stars in it and if you are a fan of hers, then you will love this film as it just a vehicle for her to walk around looking hot. There is supposed to be some kind of humour in this, but I really didn't get it at all and I was very surprised at how dreadful it was. The movie begins with a young girl, Needy(Amanda Seyfried) who is in a mental institution. She tells the story of how she got there. Her pal was Jennifer(Megan Fox) and she was a cheerleader etc. They go to some bar one night and meet a music band who Jennifer takes off with in a van after the bar goes up in flames. Needy is worried about her pal who shows up later that night covered in blood. So, it seems she has changed. She seems to be some kind of vampire or something.
Needy doesn't know what to do about it. She still hangs out with her and Jennifer tells her the story of what happened with the band that night. The band sacrificed her in some ritual so that they would have fame and fortune. They didn't manage to kill her though and she has gotten powers etc including the power to heal herself and to eat her fellow classmates. So, she begins to chomp her way through the airheads and idiots. At this point, I wished that someone would come along and put her out of her misery... But, I hung in there and I waited to see what was going to happen next. Of course, Jennifer decides that Chip(Johnny Simmons) is next on the menu. But, Chip is Needy's boyfriend.Needy tries to save him, but she is too late. Chip survives long enough to impale Jennifer with something but then he dies...
Needy wants revenge and she tries to kill Jennifer. She finally manages to. Jennifer's mother comes into the room and sees what Needy has done and Needy ends up in the mental institution. So, the movie ends with Needy breaking out of the institution because she now has powers too. She was bitten by Jennifer and she is the same as her now..Hmm, original... She goes after the rock band and she kills them all as revenge for what happened to Jennifer and herself.. That's the end. By this point, I was sorry that I ever decided to watch it and I would not recommend this to anybody but Megan Fox fans(hence the picture above). This is getting no score as I really hated it..
Nice review! I'm still going to have to see it though.
ReplyDeleteCrap or not, Megan Fox has me hooked and I'll take the ride on any vehicle that lets her strut it around, especially if she's covered in blood and acting evil (the "good hot girl" persona in Transformers was ridiculous).
ReplyDeleteBut at least I won't go into it expecting a decent plot or anything new. Lack of expectations takes the sting out of it when you run across a horrible movie. Nothing is worse than high expectations that aren't met (as in the case of, ahem, New Moon).
Thanks for the review. And, by the way, the trailer link doesn't work anymore.
I've been waiting for this movie for so long but it didn't satisfy me after watching. It's boring and story doesn't get my interest.
ReplyDeleteI liked the lesbian kissing scene so for that reason alone you should check it out! For Artistic merit of course!!
ReplyDeleteTrailer is fixed for Jennifer's body post. Check it out!
ReplyDeleteHaha Jigsaw, I'm feeling more artistic already.
