Hitch-Hike Movie Review

Hitch-Hike is a 1977 thriller directed by Pasquale Festa Campanile and starring David Hess,Franco Nero and Corinne Clery.

Walter Mancini(Nero) and his wife Eve(Clery) are a couple who are on holidays with their camper van. They are heading to Los Angeles. They have a very volatile relationship and they don't seem to like each other very much. They see a hitcher on the road and they decide to pick him up. His name is Adam Koonitz(Hess) and he is a psychopathic killer. He takes them hostage and pulls a gun on them. He tells them that he and his pals robbed a bank and that he wants them to take him to Mexico. He has a suitcase full of money with him. They drive along and Adam eyes Eve. They are stopped by a couple of cops and Adam shoots them dead which horrifies Eve and Walter.

Adam asks Walter to help him to write a book based on his life. Walter agrees, reluctantly. Adam gets worse and worse as the journey goes along. He seems to have some sort of camaraderie with Walter at first, but it doesn't last. Adam is living in a fantasy world and Walter plays along with him to keep him sweet but he knows that their lives are in danger. They meet the two pals who Adam robbed the bank with and they shoot him. They take Walter and Eve with them but Adam comes back and shoots them dead. Walter and Eve have to drive him once again. He turns nasty this time and when they park for the evening, he rapes Eve in front of Walter.

He is going to kill Walter when Eve pulls out a rifle that she found in the van and shoots him dead.
Eve wants to call the police, but Walter doesn't want to. He wants to take the money and head off.
She is not happy with this at all. They have Adam's body in the trunk. They go into a diner and meet some obnoxious youths who run them off the road. Their car crashes and Eve is pinned inside. Walter leaves her to die after telling her that he had planned to get rid of her anyway. He plants the body in the front seat and sets fire to the whole thing. He heads off on the road with the suitcase full of money and hitch hikes himself.

This movie was recommended to me and I really enjoyed it. The relationship between the husband and wife was interesting. The love/hate scenario between them was a main part of the story too as Walter seemed to care about his wife one moment, but not the next. The scene where Eve is raped by Adam is a strange one as it seemed that she was enjoying it, which was kind of weird but there you go. The husband seemed like an asshole to me throughout the film and the fact that he got away with it in the end was irritating. Hess was excellent as the psychopath. He played it so well as he did in Last House on the Left and House at the Edge of the Park. The wife was kind of annoying too as she went around half naked, even though there was a constant threat of her being raped by Adam. That is a bit nit picky of me, so forgive me for that one. When the rape scene did eventually happen, it was just plain odd to me. I liked the scene where Eve shot Adam dead. That was the best part of the movie. Overall, I enjoyed this film. I had never seen it before or heard of it, to be honest. I am glad that I watched it and it is a tense road thriller with some violence thrown in and a rape scene, but nothing too shocking, I think. I recommend it. I will give it a 6/10.

Friday the 13th Part 7:The New Blood Movie Review

Friday the 13th Part 7:The New Blood is a 1988 horror movie sequel. It is directed by John Carl Buechler and stars Lar Park Lincoln, Kevin Blair, Susan Blu and Terry Kiser.

This movie begins with a synopsis of the last film. Jason ended up at the bottom of the lake in chains. This film opens with him still there. A young girl called Tina is running away from her dad and she goes off in a boat on her own in the lake. She wishes that her father was dead and somehow, she makes it happen. He falls into the lake and dies. We cut to Tina(Lincoln), now grown up. She is driving to see a Dr.Crews(Kiser) with her mother, Amanda(Blu). They are going back to the house where her father died to help Tina come to terms with her guilt. Tina has telekinetic powers and the doctor wants to study her.

Tina goes out to the lake where Jason is and she uses her powers to try and bring her dad back. Unfortunately, she brings Jason back instead. She passes out. Later, she tells Dr. Crews about it, but he thinks that it was all in her imagination. Tina meets a neighbour, Nick(Blair) who invites her to a party that he and his friends are having for his cousin Michael. Little do they know that Jason has arrived on dry land and he is back to his old ways again! Tina has a vision of the teens being killed by Jason and she gets upset. She runs back to her mother and Dr.Crews and tells them about it. Tina is beginning to doubt her sanity at this point.

Tina decides that she wants to leave but Dr Crews doesn't want her to go. She talks to Nick about it. Meanwhile, Jason starts to slash his way through the group of friends. It turns out that Dr. Crews has been trying to make Tina crazy so that she will use her powers. Amanda is furious with him. Tina finds out and she runs away.  Amanda and the doctor meets Jason while they are in the woods and he kills them both. Tina knows what Jason has done and she uses her powers to bring the house down on him. It doesn't kill him, though and he comes after the rest of the group. He and Nick face off, but Nick is no match for him. Tina tries to kill Jason using her powers, but he is strong. She cracks his mask and reveals his horrible face. She brings her father back for a few moments and he takes Jason back down into the lake and chains him up. The movie ends with Jason's mask being found and Nick and Tina being taken away in an ambulance. All is well. Or is it??? I think that we know that Jason will be coming back for another sequel!!

I liked this sequel. Maybe I didn't like it as much as the previous one, but it was entertaining. The ending was a bit iffy, but I went with it anyway! I liked the later sequences between Tina and Jason as she used her powers to try and defeat him. It was good to see him being challenged for a change. I also enjoyed Jason in this one. He is larger than life and a monster. This was the first appearance of Kane Hodder as Jason and he would go on to play Voorhees in three more sequels! This is a sequel, so don't expect too much here, but I liked it a lot and I would watch it again so I am giving this one a 5/10!!

Twin Peaks, The Return, Episode 8

This movie begins with Evil Cooper and Ray in the car. Ray has information that Cooper wants. Ray demands payment for the information.Cooper instructs him to drive to the middle of nowhere. Cooper has a gun. Ray gets out of the car and Cooper pulls the gun on him. Ray also has the gun and he pulls it on Cooper and shoots him. Ghostly figures come out and surround Cooper while he lies on the ground.Bob's face is shown. Ray heads off, leaving Cooper to his fate. Cut to the Roadhouse where Nine Inch Nails play some music.

We cut to 1945 and the first atomic bomb explodes. We cut to a convenience store which is full with ghosts. We then cut to a place where the giant and a woman are. Something is being created. BOB's face appears. Is this the origin of BOB? The giant watches, as does the woman.  The woman takes an orb which is filled with light and the face of Laura Palmer. She sends it to Earth.

Cut to 1956 and the New Mexico desert. A strange creature has been born and it emerges from an egg. A woodsman comes out of the desert and walks to the local radio station. He kills the people working there and he utters a rhyme-"This is the water and this is the well. Drink full and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes and dark within." Somehow, this makes the locals fall unconscious as he keeps uttering it. A young woman is unconscious in her bedroom when the weird creature comes in. It crawls into her throat.

This episode was very strange. There were some unusual scenes in it and it was surreal. I think that we were witnessing the birth of BOB which was very disturbing. The scenes did go on for quiet a while, which could test some people's patience. This was a nightmarish episode with the BOB scenes quite eerie. All in all, this was a good episode and a must for any Lynch fans.

Puppet Master 3:Toulon's Revenge is a 1991 horror movie and part of the Puppet Master series.
It is directed by David De Coteau and starring Guy Rolfe, Richard Lynch, Ian Abercrombie and Aron Eisenberg.

The movie begins in Berlin, 1941. A man called Dr. Hess(Abercrombie) is performing experiments on people. One of his experiments wakes up and attacks him. Cut to Toulon(Rolfe) who is putting on puppet shows and making fun of Hitler. Some Nazi guys see it and they come to see him. He is warned about making fun of the Fuhrer. Elsa, Toulon's wife is worried about it. A man called Stein is watching the puppets and he sees them come alive. He sees Toulon injecting them. Toulon makes a puppet in the image of his wife. Stein tells his boss about the puppets. Major Kraus(Lynch) thinks that he is crazy but Dr. Hess is interested. Hess calls General Mueller about it and Mueller tells Kraus to work with Hess on finding out what is going on.

Kraus visits Toulon and tells him that his career is over. He takes a puppet and the Nazis shoot Elsa dead. They are going to take Toulon too but he escapes. He swears revenge, Dr. Hess finds out about Toulon's secret. Toulon gets his puppets and together they are going to get revenge on his wife's killers. They break into Hess' lab and they kill one of his colleagues. Toulon mixes some new elixir and he brings his Elsa doll to life. The puppets take care of Stein. Kraus and his band of soldiers are scouring the city for Toulon. Toulon has found an abandoned building to stay in with his puppets.
The General gets a visit from Six- Shooter who kills him.

Hess wants Toulon because he wants to find out his secret about the puppets, but Kraus wants him dead. Toulon finds a boy called Peter(Eisenberg) and his father staying in the same abandoned building. Peter is fascinated by the puppets, but his father is not so keen. Peter gets caught by Hess and he ends up leading Hess to Toulon's hiding place. Hess talks to Toulon and he tells him that he is impressed with him. He knows that Toulon was once a doctor, but he gave it up. Hess wants his secret. Toulon tells him that his puppets are made in the likeness of his friends. They all wanted life after death so he made them come back. Peter's father ends up betraying Toulon. Kraus arrives at the hiding place. There is a battle with the puppets. Kraus shoots Peter's dad. Hess is also killed.

In the aftermath, Peter comes back to Toulon and offers him his help with the puppets. Blade is created in Kraus' likeness. There is a face off with Kraus. Toulon kills him by setting him on fire and he gets impaled on a spike. Toulon and Peter head off to Switzerland and to freedom. Toulon is still wanted in Germany. This was a great sequel. I really enjoyed the story in this one and it was just fun throughout. I liked the setting of Nazi Germany and Lynch was good as the evil Kraus. There is plenty here to enjoy and I found it very entertaining. I would recommend this one! I will give it a 6/10.

Twin Peaks, The Return, Episode 7

This episode begins with Jerry Horne. He is lost in the woods and has obviously been smoking his own product. Cut to Hawk and Truman. They are looking at the letter that Hawk retrieved from the bathroom door. It turns out that they are pages from Laura Palmer's diary. Frank calls Harry, but he is too ill and Frank can't ask him about Cooper and everything that happened. He calls Doctor Hayward(Warren Frost) and he talks to him about what happened when Cooper emerged from the Black Lodge that night. Hayward tells him that Cooper gave him a strange look in the hospital. He assumed that Cooper was going to visit Audrey Horne who was in intensive care but Cooper left. Detective Macklay is visited by a Lieutenant Knox who wants to know about the investigation into the dead body which had Major Briggs' fingerprints. She discovers that the body is actually from a man in his 40's and not 70's so what is going on? She calls her boss, Colonel Davis and tells him.
Knox tells the cops that nobody is to have access to the body from now on.

Gordon and Albert talk about Diane. She refuses to go and see Cooper. They go to visit her and she tells them that she will not go. They talk to her and she eventually agrees to go and see him but she is not happy about it. She goes in and sees Cooper. She talks to him and asks him who he is. When she comes out, she talks to Gordon and tells him that the person in prison is NOT Cooper. Meanwhile, evil Cooper has some information about the warden and he threatens to leak it if he does not get released and given a car and a gun. Mr. Strawberry is mentioned once again and this scares the warden. Cooper also wants Ray Monroe released too.

The cops come to see Dougie about his car. Janey-E is here too and s he speaks for him. The cops tell them that the car was involved in an explosion with gang members. Outside, Cooper and Janey- E are attacked by  Ike The Spike. Cooper is warned by the arm which appears and he is able to fight the guy off. Cut to the Great Northern Hotel. Ben talks to his secretary ,Beverly, about a weird noise that is in his office.  They find the key that was dropped into a post box by Jade. It was Cooper's room key. There is some sexual tension between Ben and Beverly. Beverly returns home to her husband who is very sick. We then see a scene from the Roadhouse of a guy sweeping the floor. Cooper is let out of his cell by the warden and he escapes. The episode ends at the Double R diner...

This was a great episode. It was good to see Diane in action and I like the way that she knew that evil Cooper wasn't right. Now that he is on the run, things are bound to get very interesting. I liked the fact that Dougie was able to fight off Ike and he somehow knew what to do. Is the good Cooper coming back to us? I really hope so. I wondered if the noise in the Great Northern has something to with a certain person called Josie who was last seen inside a piece of furniture in the hotel. Maybe I am just reading too much into it. Anyway, I am looking forward to episode 8!

Let Sleeping Corpses Lie Movie Review

Let Sleeping Corpses Lie a.k.a.The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue is a 1974 horror movie directed by Jorge Grau and starring Ray Lovelock, Cristina Galbo and Arthur Kennedy.

The movie begins with a man called George(Lovelock) who is zooming along on his motorbike through a village. He stops at a petrol station to fill up and his bike is hit by a woman in a car. Her name is Edna(Galbo) and she is on the way to visit her sister in the area. George has to leave his bike at the station to be fixed so Edna gives him a lift in her car. They drive along and overtake a mortuary truck. George needs to go to meet friends, but he has to drop Edna off first. She isn't too sure where her sister's house is so George goes to a local farm to ask for directions. He sees the Department of Agriculture at the farm. They have a strange machine with them and they are experimenting with it.
George asks them what they are doing. It is a machine to kill pests on the farm. It makes a very unusual sound and uses radiation to kill. Edna waits outside the car and sees a man stumbling around. He looks dishevelled and he comes for her. She runs away and gets back into the car. George and the farmer come to her and the man has gone. She tells them what happened, but they think that it was all in her imagination.

Edna's sister is called Katie and she lives with a photographer called Martin. Katie has a problem with drug addiction. Martin goes down to the river to take some photographs. Katie is attacked by the creepy man who turns up at her house. She escapes and runs to find Martin at the river. The man kills Martin and Katie runs off in a panic. She runs into Edna and George who have arrived. George finds the body of Martin. The police show up and talk to Katie. The Sergeant(Kennedy) asks Katie about her marriage and he tells her that he knows Martin was going to put her into a clinic. The police tell Edna and George that they have to stay in a local hotel as they were at the scene. Katie has a breakdown and ends up in hospital. George and Edna go to see her. One of the babies in the hospital bites a nurse. The doctor tells George that the babies are aggressive. They all come from the area around the farm where the machine has been working away.

Edna and George talk to the local chemist and they find out that the man who attacked Edna is a local vagrant who died. How could he be alive? George takes Edna to the local graveyard to prove that the man is dead. They go down to the crypt and find his coffin. It is empty! They get locked into the crypt by the zombie vagrant who brings other dead people to life and he and his pals try and get Edna and George. George finds a hole and they manage to scramble out before they get eaten. They have been followed by a policeman and he tries to help them. He ends up barricaded in the church with George and Edna. The policeman thinks that he should get his radio outside and he dashes out to get it. Unfortunately, the undead are waiting for him and he gets eaten alive. The zombies are at the door. They get in and George sets them alight which works. He and Edna get the hell out of there!

George tells Edna to take the car and get the police. George is stranded and he walks to the farm where the machine is. He has a argument with the workers and he tries to wreck the machine. The workers head off and leave him there. The Sergeant turns up at the church and he thinks that George and Edna are Satanists and he orders his men to shoot them on sight. Edna arrives at Katie and Martin's house and she is met by the now undead Martin who tries to attack her. She gets away and proceeds to drive over him. George turns up and she tells him what happened. He drops her off at the petrol station and goes back to burn Martin. He gets stopped by the cops and he tries to tell them about the zombies. Martin is brought to the hospital. Of course, he comes to life and he kills the staff.
The weird machine is fixed and this creates havoc as more zombies are created. George takes a police are and drives off to find Edna. He is chased by the cops.

The movie comes to a close with George going to the hospital and finding that Edna has turned into a zombie. He has no choice but to kill her with fire. George is shot dead by the police. The Sergeant thinks that all is well and he goes back to his hotel room where a zombie George gets his hands on him and kills him. Meanwhile, the machine is working away...This was a very entertaining movie. I really enjoyed this one. There are some eerie scenes in this and there are some pretty good zombie effects here.I liked the scene in the crypt which was spooky and the ending was very good with a lot of things happening. The ending is pretty bleak as the two main characters are killed which is unusual. Nobody ends up walking away at the end of this. The Sergeant gets what he deserves in the end, which I liked and the machine keeps working, suggesting that there will be plenty more zombies created in the area. All in all, this is a very good movie which I really had fun watching. I recommend it and I will give it a 7/10.

Puppet Master 2 Movie Review

Puppet Master 2: His Unholy Creations is a 1991 horror sequel directed by Dave Allen and starring Steve Welles, Elizabeth Maclellan and Collin Bernsen.

The movie begins at Shady Oaks cemetery. Pinhead the puppet digs up Toulon's coffin. He pours a special elixir onto the dead body and Toulon is resurrected from the dead. Cut to a paranormal research team who have come to the Bodega Bay Inn. They are investigating the place after the events of the first movie. They are Carolyn(Maclellan), Camille,Patrick,Lance and Wanda. We find out that the previous owner, Megan was killed and Alex was in an asylum. The group talk about Toulon. Camille sees one of the puppets. The others think that she imagined it. Camille has a feeling that they are in danger and she wants to leave tonight. Unfortunately, the puppets her her and she disappears. The others think that she just left.

Patrick gets killed by The Tunneler. Wanda and Lance see it and Lance tries to smash the puppet. Lance shows the puppet to the others and they open it up to see how it works. It is somehow alive.
A man appears. His name is Eriquee Chanee(Steve Welles). He says that he has lived in the hotel for years and that it was left to him by the previous owner. After this, a man called Michael(Collin Bernsen) turns up looking for his mother, Camille. Carloyn tells him what has happened at the hotel with the puppets. She invites him to stay. The puppets are on the loose and they kill a couple of locals for their brains. Leech Woman gets roasted in the fire when she gets on the wrong side of a local. Toulon tells his puppet pals that they have to be clever. They need more brains to bring back more of the puppets.

Toulon sees Carolyn and she reminds him of his dead wife. He thinks that she is a reincarnation.
There is a flashback to 1912 in Cairo where Toulon discovered how to make his puppets come to life.
Carolyn and Michael are suspicious of Toulon and wonder what is going on. Has he some connection to the puppets. He starts acting strangely around Carolyn and she is creeped out by him. He wants to get rid of Michael as he knows that Carolyn likes him. Meanwhile, Blade kills Lance and Wanda and he uses their body parts for the mixture to help Toulon. Carolyn snoops in Toulon's room and she finds his equipment. He catches her and tells her that she is his wife. Torch tries to kill Michael but he can't. The others gang up on him, but he fights them off.

Toulon tells Carolyn that the Nazis killed his wife. Carolyn tries to make him see that she is not his wife, Elsa. Toulon has two bodies ready for himself and Carolyn to inhabit when he drinks the elixir and brings himself back to life and she will be  with him too. The puppets have brought Toulon animal brains instead of human and he turns on them . They don't like what he has done so they kill him. Carolyn and Michael escape as the puppets set Toulon on fire. The puppet reanimate Camille and her spirit is put into the mannequin that Toulon had chosen for Carolyn. She has the puppets with her now and she is taking them to a children's home to put on her show...

This was an very entertaining movie. I enjoyed it and found that it was pretty good for a sequel.
The story was fun and the puppets were amusing too. I liked the addition of Torch in this movie. He was one bad ass puppet. This stayed true to the original, I thought and the story went along quite nicely. Bringing back Toulon was interesting and I didn't expect them to turn on him and kill him.
I liked the ending because it was left open for more puppet related adventures so I will be moving on to the next sequel now. This movie is a decent one and I think that you will enjoy it if you liked the original movie. I certainly did. I will give this one a 6/10.

Shock Movie Review

Shock is a 1977 Italian horror movie directed by Mario Bava and starring Daria Nicolodi and John Steiner.

Dora Baldini(Nicolodi)is moving into her old home with her new husband, Bruno(Steiner) and her son, Marco. She had some mental problems in the past, but she is fine now. She finds a porcelain hand and she puts it on a shelf. Marco is acting a little weird. He is being visited by his father's ghost.
His swing moved by itself. Dora feels that something is not right in the house. She throws a housewarming party. She sees Marco scowling at her when she goes to kill Bruno. He tells her that he has to kill her. She falls and hurts herself. She remembers her first husband and his drug use. She finds a razor blade in between the keys of her piano. Marco sneaks into her bedroom and steals her underwear. She finds Marco in the cellar. He seems ill. She discovers her underwear in his drawer and she starts to panic.

Things go from bad to worse as Marco sets a trap for her and she hurts herself. Her son cuts Bruno out of pictures. Dora starts to become very agitated over the whole thing. She tells Bruno what has been going on. Dora thinks that she should never have come back to the house as it has bad memories for her. Bruno worries about her mental health. We discover that she has mental breakdown and spent time in a clinic. She begins to have disturbing nightmares. She sees horrible images of ghosts and knives. Meanwhile, Marco is giving her the evil eye at every opportunity. Dora takes her son to the doctor to see if it is something psychological but the doctor can't find anything wrong with him. He tells her that her problems might have passed on to Marco.

Things get worse for Dora as she hears the piano playing but there is nobody there. She sees more bizarre things and Marco approaches her worth a picture of his father and he asks her why she killed him. She remembers her first husband, Carlo. He gave her drugs and she killed him. Bruno returns from work and she tells him that she killed Carlo. He thinks that she is having an episode and doesn't take her seriously. She tells him that she is being haunted by Carlo. Bruno slips her a sedative and she has awful nightmares about Carlo. She wakes up and finds Bruno knocking down a wall in the cellar where the body of Carlo is buried. He knew that she had killed her husband and he protected her.
He cleaned up the mess and he hid the body. That was why they had to come back and live in the house. Dora loses her head and she kills Bruno.

She hides Bruno's body behind the wall. The porcelain hand shatters. She sees her son Marco but now he is Carlo. Everything becomes blurred. Dora freaks out as she is locked inside the house with Marco. She falls down into the cellar and she kills herself by cutting her own throat. The movie ends with Marco having a tea party with the ghosts of his parents. His father's ghost pushes him on the swing. I really enjoyed this movie. It was very interesting. The character of Dora was well played by Nicolodi. She played the part of the damaged and fragile woman very well. I liked the idea of the son being possessed by the dad and in the end, it all came together and it made sense. There are some creepy scenes in this as Dora begins to break down and it is a very tense movie. I have been meaning to see this for so long and I finally did. I am glad that I saw it as it is a very good horror movie with some eerie scenes. I would recommend this one. I will give it a 7/10.

Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives Movie Review

Jason Lives(1986) is the sixth movie in the series and it is directed by Tom McLoughlin. It stars Thom Mathews, Jennifer Cooke and David Kagen .

The movie carries on from the previous installment. Tommy Jarvis(Mathews) is at Jason Vorhees' grave with his pal, Allen. Tommy wants to dig up Jason's body to be sure that he is actually dead. Why he doesn't just leave it alone is beyond me! He and his pal do so and when Tommy sees Jason, he is reminded of his battles with him. He gets a spike and stabs it into Jason. He throws Jason's mask into the grave. Now, the likelihood of the spoke being hit by lightning and reanimating Jason is very low, but that is just what happens! Jason comes back from the dead. Tommy tries to set him on fire.
Jason chases him, but Tommy escapes.

Tommy goes to the local Sheriff Garris(Kagen) and tells him about Jason. The Sheriff thinks that he has lost the plot entirely. They throw him into jail. The Sheriff is not happy with Timmy dredging up Jason Vorhees' name and he doesn't want to remind people of the horrible things that he did. Camp Crystal Lake is now called Forest Green and a new bunch of people are coming there. A couple who are driving there see Jason in the road. They don't know what to make of him so they try and get past him, which is a big mistake. Jason is a bit rusty, but he soon finds his feet and kills them. The Sheriff's daughter, Megan(Cooke)comes into see her dad and finds Tommy interesting. Megan and her pals hear about Jason and they are working at the summer camp.

The kids arrive at the camp and there are also people paint balling in the woods. Jason is watching them. He decides to attack them and kill them, even pulling some poor guy's arm off in the process!
Tommy gets escorted to the edge of town and told not to come back by Sheriff Garris. Jason murders his way through the town. He goes to the camp and he gets rid of the camp counsellors. Megan likes Tommy and she believes him about Jason. Her dad thinks that Tommy might be behind the murders and he does not want him near her daughter. Megan picks Tommy up and says that she will help him to get Jason. The cops chase them. The Sheriff catches Tommy and throws him back into jail. He finds out that Tommy has an alibi for some of the killings so he knows that he is not guilty. Megan makes the Deputy Sheriff let Tommy out but holding a gun on him.

Tommy and Megan head for the camp where Jason is on a killing spree. Sheriff Garris goes into the dorms and gathers the kids together. He tells them to hide. He comes face to face with Jason and shoots him. Jason cannot be killed as he has changed into a supernatural being. Tommy and Megan arrive. The Sheriff and Jason face off and the Sheriff ends up losing. Jason chases Tommy and Megan. Tommy makes a trap for Jason. He goes into the water and waits for Jason to come to him.
They fight. Tommy manages to put a huge chain around Jason's neck and this pulls him to the bottom of the lake where he is stuck. Jason grabs Megan when she comes to help Tommy. She uses a propeller from a boat to kill him(or so she thinks). Tommy survives and they head off, thinking that Jason has gone. But of course, WE know that Jason will be back again!!!

I liked this movie. I found it great fun and I loved Jason and his killing spree. He just hacked his way through so many people in this one! I enjoyed the confrontation between Tommy and Jason. I liked the story in general and these sequels are just so much fun to watch because you are rarely disappointed. This was the end of Tommy Jarvis in the franchise which was a shame. I liked that Jason had a nemesis and this could have been a recurring theme throughout the series. Tommy was a worthy opponent for Jason and it would have been fun to explore this relationship further but it was not to be.
So, to sum up, I really liked this sequel and I would definitely watch it again. I will give it a 6/10.

Amityville:It's About Time Review

Amityville:It's About Time is the sixth movie in the Amityville franchise. It is directed by Tony Randel and stars Stephen Macht, Shawn Weatherly and Megan Ward.

The movie begins at Burlwood Estates. A man called Jacob Sterling(Macht) is arriving home from a business trip. He is an architect and his two children Lisa(Ward) and Rusty(Damon Martin) are waiting for him, along with his ex-girlfriend,Andrea(Weatherly). He brings home an old clock that he found in an old house in Amityville. He is working there trying to build a new housing development.
He puts the clock on the mantelpiece. The clock is not a normal clock. It has a very loud ticking sound. The dog from next door comes over to the house and starts barking at the clock. Rusty comes down and sees the dog and then he sees the room change to a different place. He is confused.

The next day,Jacob is out for a run when he sees the neighbour and her dog. She lets the dog loose and it attacks Jacob. He ends up in hospital. Rusty goes to visit his elderly neighbour Iris(Nita Talbot) and tells her about the clock. She seems to know about it and she tells him that it needed a new home and it's his house. Andrea has to stay and look after Jacob as he is in a bad way. She calls over to the neighbour to tell her what happened with Jacob and her neighbour tells her that her dog was not anywhere near Jacob. Andrea sees that the dog is fine and is puzzled. Jacob starts to act very strangely. His wounds are very severe. Time changes in the house and Rusty  realises that he has lost time. Something unseen gets into bed with Andrea and she sees a figure covered in black tar .

The neighbours dog turns up dead. The cops come and they are looking for Rusty. They think that he killed the dog. Jacob is going insane and Andrea doesn't know what to do. Her boyfriend comes over and he gets spooked.Lisa turns evil and kills a boy from school in the basement. Iris figures out that the clock is causing all of these things to happen and she is going to tell Rusty when she gets killed.
Jacob has lost his mind and he is dangerous. Lisa is also dangerous and Rusty has to kill her when she turns on him. Rusty and Andrea try to tackle the clock. Rusty gets turned into a child and Andrea gets turned into an old woman when they try and destroy it. Andrea causes and explosion and the clock is destroyed. Time is altered and they end up back before the clock did its damage. The movie ends with Jacob bringing home the clock and Andrea smashes it up. They wonder why and she says that 'it's about time'. Rusty sees Iris and they share a knowing smile, suggesting that they remember what happened...

This film has nothing to do with Amityville. The house is mentioned but that is it. If you are hoping for a visit to the house, then forget it. The sequels are getting worse as I go along. I thought that this would be better, but it is just a standard movie with very little in the way of scares. I don't think that there were any scary moments in this. It was just like a TV movie. I watched it until the end to see what happens, but it was just mediocre and tedious. This was just so so and if you are looking for an exciting horror movie, then this certainly won't fit the bill. It was passable but only just. I will give it a 4/10.
