My Favourite TV shows of 2016!

I am an avid TV watcher and obviously I don't just watch horror all of the time. At the moment, we are spoiled for choice with great TV shows. Some TV shows are as good as movies in the production and the special effects. Let me just go through my favourites at the moment.

My first one will be The Walking Dead, of course. I have followed this from the first episode way back in 2010 and it has been consistently good. I liked it from the beginning. I think that some of the characters have been so so over the years, but I like most of the core group. Rick has turned from a total wuss into a leader who is bad ass now. I enjoyed all of the storyline with The Governor and now I am looking forward to the struggle that the group will have with Negan. This is my favourite show at the moment. Next is Penny Dreadful which is a great show with a very talented cast. Eva Green, Josh Hartnett and Timothy Dalton star in this Gothic TV show which hosts a load of literary characters such as Dracula, Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and Dr Jekyll. I love the strangeness and the creepiness of this show and there are some genuinely scary moments. It is well made and it has some great story lines. If you enjoy Gothic horror, then you will love this!

The Blacklist is next on my list. This action show is great with so much happening in every episode. James Spader in the star of the show really and without him, I think that this would not work. He is great as Raymond Reddington,  a criminal who is helping out the FBI for his own reasons. He is suave and cool and he seems to know the right people all of the time. He is working with Elizabeth Keen and her team at the FBI and he seems to have a reason for wanting to work with her. There is something in his past that links her with him and we haven't found that out yet. This show is very good and Spader excels as Reddington. The revival of The X Files was great fun. I watched the original series when it was out and this was a real treat for me. I loved the old gang getting back together and the stories were great. I hope that we might see more of this series as I realised how much I used to enjoy it.

Sleepy Hollow is another TV show that I enjoy. It is a modern take on the classic novel. I like the story lines in this series and Ichabod Crane played by Tom Mison is a good character. The female lead I am not so mad about. She is irritating I think but the show is not bad. It has a horror theme which I like. I will give a mention to Game of Thrones which I do follow from time to time. I am not a huge fan of this series. It started well and then I just lost interest in it. I also liked American Horror Story but the last season was so so and with Lady Gaga in it, I just didn't think that it was on the same level as the other seasons. On a better note, I am really looking forward to the Twin Peaks revival. That will be the highlight of 2017. Most of the TV shows that I like to watch are old. I prefer classic TV to most of today's shows. I think that there are some really terrible TV shows out there but these are my favourites anyway!

The Walking Dead, Season Two Finale!!!

Last episode, Rick killed Shane in a confrontation between the two. Then Carl had to shoot him when Shane turned into a walker. But, why did he and Randall turn when they weren't bitten???

This week, the walkers edge closer to the farm. Rick sees them at the last minute and everyone else gets ready for battle. The walkers take over the farm and they kill Jimmy and Patricia. Hershel defends the farm but the walkers are coming closer and he has to move away from his home. Rick and Carl get stuck in the barn and they have no choice but to set it alight and escape onto the roof. The walkers burn and Carl and Rick get rescued when they jump onto the Winnebago. Carol gets cornered by the walkers, but is saved by Andrea. Andrea gets caught by a large group of walkers, but escapes through the woods, chased by them. The group are running low on ammo and they have to get away from the farm. Glenn and Maggie jump into a car and drive away. Daryl picks up Carol and they leave. Rick, Carl and Hershel leave not knowing where Lori is. Lori is with Beth and T-Dog.

Andrea finds herself out of ammo in the woods and the walkers keep coming. Suddenly, when all hope is lost, a mysterious hooded figure with two armless walkers on a chain(who is Michonne but we don't know that yet!) and the figure saves her.Cut back to Rick, Carl and Hershel who go back to the spot on the highway where they were waiting for Sophia in previous episodes. They think that the others will come to the spot which they do. Everyone is reunited, except for Andrea. They drive on regardless and then run out of gas. They have to make a camp. People seem to be doubting Rick's leadership and he tells them that if they want to step up and do it, they can. Nobody does so he tells them from now on, what he says goes. He also tells them that Jenner( in the end of season one in the CDC, Jenner whispered something to Rick) told him that everyone is infected and that it why Shane and Randall turned into walkers without being bitten. The group are stunned. He tells Lori what happened with Shane and she is horrified and disgusted with him. The group don't realise that they are camped next to a large prison....

All in all, this was a good season. I liked the episodes. The only thing that annoyed me was the eternal love triangle with Rick, Shane and Lori. Lori's character leaves me irritated. I just don't like her at all and I can't  root for her. Rick is still a weak leader, but he is showing some signs of being tough which he should have been from day one. It is good that the group are moving away from the farm as it was getting a bit mundane, so now, there will be a whole new adventure in season three, which I am really looking forward to. This series is well made and it has kept me eagerly watching every week. Bring on season 3!!!!

The Walking Dead, Season 2, Episode 12

Last episode, Dale was killed by a rogue walker and Carl felt guilty because he had the chance to kill the walker earlier.

This week, the group bury Dale. Then they all get ready for more walkers to come. They think that there will be more walkers and they need to move into the house together. They are going to lock down everything. Rick and Shane have another argument and Rick asks Andrea to keep an eye on him. Carl tells Shane what happened with the gun and he gives it to him. Lori talks to Shane about everything and she tells him that she is sorry for everything that went wrong between them. She thanks him for saving her life when the zombies first attacked. Glenn is upset over Dale. Shane gives Rick the gun and tells him that Carl had it. Rick talks to Carl and he tells him to hang on to the gun for protection. Meanwhile, Shane goes into the barn to the prisoner Randall and he releases him and takes him into the woods. He breaks his neck and leaves him there.

The others realise that Randall has gone and assume he found some way out. Shane hits his nose against a tree to break it and make it seem as if he was after Randall and Randall jumped him. He comes back to the farm and tells them that Randall escaped and he is in the woods. Rick and Shane pair up and go to look for him. Daryl and Glenn go too and they find evidence that Shane killed Randall. Randall has turned into a walker and he attacks them. They kill him. Rick is beginning to have doubts about Shane's story and he realises that Shane has brought him into the woods to kill him. Rick kills Shane instead and when he is upset, Shane comes back as a walker and Carl shoots him with the gun his dad gave him. The episode ends with a huge number of walkers coming to the farm...

Good episode. Obviously, I am disappointed that Shane has gone. I liked the character and I thought that it was good to have a dissenting voice in the group. Hopefully, they can come up with another character as good.

The Walking Dead Season 2, Episode 11

We left Rick and Shane driving back to the house with Randall in the boot in the last episode. Episode 11 begins with  Daryl interrogating Randall and giving him a good hiding. Randall tells him that there is around 30 people in the group and that some of the guys in the group went around raping girls. He begs Daryl for mercy. Rick decides that the best thing to do is to kill him. He could lead his group back to the farm otherwise and all hell would break loose. Dale thinks that they shouldn't do it and goes around trying to convince everyone in the group to show mercy to Randall. Shane talks to Andrea about taking charge of the group and overthrowing Rick as the leader. Randall listens to this conversation. Carl goes into the barn and talks to Randall and when Shane catches him, he is furious. Carl takes Daryl's gun and runs into the woods and finds a walker who he teases as the walker is stuck in the mud. The walker gets loose and Carl drops the gun and runs home, telling nobody about the gun.

Dale is on his misson of mercy trying to get people to agree with him about Randall. They all have a meeting and most people agree with Rick about killing Randall. Dale freaks out and gives a speech about humanity. Rick, Daryl and Shane are going to execute Randall when Carl shows up and messes everything up. Rick then decides to spare Randall. Dale gets attacked by a walker and he is almost dead. Daryl has to shoot him in the head which he does. Carl realises that this is the same walker he was teasing earlier and he could have shot him but he didn't.This episode was not too bad. I have to say that I never really liked the character of Dale and he irritated me in this episode. Randall is a danger to the group and as such, he should have been killed to protect everyone, but Rick couldn't stand up and make the decision. He let himself be weak once again. I have a feeling that there will be a showdown between Shane and Rick and I don't see Shane lasting much longer in the series. I hope that I am wrong!!!

The Walking Dead, Season 2, Episode 8

It's back!!!The last time we saw Rick and company, they were shooting all of the walkers in Hershel's barn. Sophia, the missing child, was one of them and Rick had to shoot her.

The new episode begins with the group in shock. Rick is feeling bad for shooting Sophia, but he had no choice.Hershel is annoyed with them and he wants them off his land. Carol is very upset by the death of her daughter.Shane wonders if Hershel and his group knew that Sophia was in the barn all along and let them go off and risk their lives looking for her. They deny it. Rick and the group have to bury Sophia and Hershel's family and then burn the rest. Carol can't bring herself to watch her daughter being buried. Shane tells everyone that he did what had to be done. Andrea and T-Dog agree with him. Do- gooder Dale doesn't and he tries to tell Laurie that Shane is dangerous and that he believes Shane sacrificed Otis to save himself.

One of the girls, Beth collapses and goes into shock. Rick looks for Hershel but he is nowhere to be found.
Glenn and Rick go to look for him at a local bar. Shane apologises to Carol for what happened to Sophia.
Glenn tells Rick he loves Maggie and that she loves him too. They find Hershel drinking in a bar. He tells them that he has lost all hope. He realises now that there is no cure for the walkers and that everything is lost.
Rick talks him around and when he hears about Beth he decides to come back and help her. Before they can leave, two strangers walk into the bar. They seem friendly, but when they start asking too many questions, Rick and Hershel get suspicious. Glenn tells them about the farm and they want to go there. Rick tells them that there is no room and things get nasty. Rick shoots the two of them.

A good episode with a good ending. I thought that there would be two more survivors added to the cast and when Rick shot them, it was a surprise. It is a great show and I am looking forward to more!

American Horror Story, Season 1 Episode 3

Episode 3 begins in 1983. The housekeeper, Moira O' Hara(Frances Conroy) is being groped by her boss. He tries to rape her but Constance shoots him and then Moira because he was her husband. Cut to present day and Vivian and Ben are arguing.Vivian wants to leave the house but Ben tells her to wait. Ben thinks that she needs therapy. Marcy(Christine Estabrook) is their estate agent and she tells Vivian that the house will be hard to sell. Vivian insists that she start getting it on the market.

Meanwhile, Constance and Moira are arguing over the past. Ben fires Moira but she won't leave. It turns out that the house is on a horror tour of the area. Ben thinks that Moira has taken his tape recorder and she will not give it to him. He sees her as young and erotic. Hayden shows up and she tells him that she did not have the abortion after all. She is going to move near him and have his baby. She wants money and she wants him to keep her in an apartment. A detective comes to the house and he is looking for a missing patient of Ben's. Cut to olden days and a man called Charles Montgomery builds the house for his wife. Turns out he went mad and experimented on animals in the basement. He also performs illegal abortions.

Ben meets Larry Harvey again. Larry used to live in the house until he went mad and set it on fire. Vivian has a visitor. It is Nora Montgomery(Lily Rabe) who is the wife of Charles Montgomery. She pretends that she is interested in buying the house. Vivian shows her around and Nora becomes very upset when she sees that some of the house has been changed. Then, suddenly, she has gone. Meanwhile, the detective has found Ben's patient and she had Ben's tape recorder on her. Violet is not happy about moving home yet again.
Hayden shows up at the house and is killed by Larry who insists that he did it for Ben. He wants $1,000 in return. Ben builds a gazebo over where he buried her body. Vivian is unaware of all of this and sleeps upstairs with Nora watching over her.....

Another good episode of this new horror series. It reminds me of The Amityville Horror sometimes. There are so many twists and turns, but it is interesting....

American Horror Story, Season 1, Episode 1

American Horror Story is a new horror series created by Ryan Murphy(who was the creator of Nip/Tuck) and Brad Falchuk(who also worked on Nip/Tuck and Glee). It stars Dylan McDermott(from TV show The Practice),Connie Britton(from TV show Spin City), Evan Peters(from TV show Invasion) and Jessica Lange who everyone should know from her numerous movies.

The series begins with a large house. It is old and run down. A young girl stands outside it, staring. Along come two twins who carry baseball bats and who are going to enter the house. She tells them that they are going to die. They ignore her and enter the house and wreck it. Unfortunately, they split up and one of them goes down to the basement(bad move!) and meets his end. The other twin wanders down and he is killed too.Cut to present day and a family are moving into the house. Psychiatrist Ben Harmon(McDermott), his wife Vivian(Britton) and their oddball daughter Violet (Taissa Farmiga). They have a history too. Ben cheated on his wife and she found him with his lady friend in their bed. Vivian had a miscarriage too. They haven't been having sex for more than a year and Vivian is trying to forgive Ben for his infidelity.

Their neighbour is Constance(Lange) whose daughter is Adelaide, the former little girl who was in the beginning of the show. She tells Vivian that she will die. She is a nuisance and Vivian and Ben don't want her to come into the house without being asked. Constance tells them about the two people who lived in the house before them. They died in an apparent murder/suicide. Vivian wanders around the attic and she finds a kinky leather suit. She and Ben throw it out. A  weird housekeeper called  Moira(Frances Conroy) shows up and offers her services. She has always been the housekeeper in the house and Vivian hires her. The only thing is that Vivian sees her as an old woman and Ben sees her as a young, sexy maid who is coming onto him. Ben is taking his patients in the house and one of them is young Tate(Evan Peters). He is a weirdo and he is talking about his problems with Ben. Tate meets Violet and they get on. Ben isn't happy.

Some really strange things begin to happen in the house such as Vivian having sex with a stranger wearing the leather suit, Ben seeing the maid pleasuring herself, Ben meeting a weird guy who used to live in the house who warns him that it will make him go mad. Ben starts sleepwalking. Tate and Violet are both social outcasts and they scare one of the girls in school who is bullying Violet. Something horrible happens when they lure her to the basement and she is scared out of her mind. Violet is scared too, but Tate seems to be okay with it. There is some weird creature living in the basement and it attacked the girl from school. What is going on???I couldn't tell you, but what I will say is this show is interesting and new. I like it already. The show ends with the shocking news that Vivian is pregnant. Who is the father though? Ben or the person in the leather suit who she thought was her husband????Hmmm. Interesting. I am looking forward to the next episode already!!!!! It is weird and wonderful.....

Hells Kitchen, Season 9, Episode 13 and 14

Last week, we lost Natalie and Elizabeth. So, there are the final five left now.

Episode 13 begins with the final five celebrating. Will thinks that it will be okay to work with Elise. Little does he know what will happen once she starts opening her huge mouth. The chefs have to grab a plate with the name of a dish written on it and they have to make that dish appetising. Chef Ramsay brings in some people to judge the dishes(watch first video above) . Will wins the challenge. He is a good cook and I would be surprised if he was not in the final. Will gets to go to some restaurants and he has to choose a chef to go with him. Unbelievably, he chooses toxic Elise. How could you do that???She is horrible. So, that night, they are told that they are competing against some of the past competitors on Hell's Kitchen. Back come Ben,Jillian, Tennille, Trevor and Van. They are all revved up and ready to show the newbies who is boss... They make their menu. The other group are being dominated by Elise. She can't take anyone else's suggestions into account. She just does what she wants. They are seeing her true colours.

Service begins. Tommy is working with Will who is giving him advice. Elise has to check everything with Paul and it shows her inexperience. Tennille is still not great at cooking and she isn't doing so well.
Her food is coming back to her. Paul's lobster is overcooked. He is battling with Elise who is annoying him. The two teams are very close as they race to finish their service. Jennifer is struggling. She is not performing that well. They finally finish. The winning team is the newbies. They are all delighted.  Jennifer thinks that she is going home and she tells Paul that she has a crush on him.Chef Ramsay tells them that no one deserves to go so they are all safe. When oh when will Elise get her ass kicked out?????

Episode 14 begins with Jennifer being mortified about telling Paul she likes him. He clearly has no interest in her that way and she is embarrassed. The others think that it is a big joke. Their challenge to to cook salmon and the best dish wins. There are some people brought in to judge them. They have to say how much they would pay for the dish and the highest one wins. Paul wins and he gets to have a helicopter ride. He brings Tommy with him. The others have to clean the bar and clean the salmon and prepare it for service. Tommy is helping Jennifer and it is not long before Jennifer crumbles. She cannot communicate at all. She is making Tommy look bad with her blunders. His pasta is raw and it is because Jennifer was rushing him.

Elise is shouting at Jennifer looking for her times for her dish and Jennifer tells her how long and Elise says no one told her. She is such a liar. Jennifer gives up her risotto in a burnt frying pan which does not go down well. Elise cannot cook her salmon and she ruins piece after piece after piece. She hands it up raw, burnt etc. She is useless. How she is still in Hell's Kitchen amazes me. All the wasted fish is really bad. Tommy asks Jennifer to taste his dish to make sure it is okay and she says it is. She takes it up to the pass and screws Tommy. Tommy tries to help Elise but he gets yelled at by the cow. He can't win. They all get thrown out of the kitchen. Jennifer knows she is going home after her awful performance. Chef Ramsay sends for Paul and Will to come back to the kitchen and leaves the rest. They are pissed. Tommy asks Chef Ramsay why he was kicked out but he gets shouted at.

Bitchy Elise tries to wind Will and Paul around her little finger and it actually works. They are so stupid. She wants them to screw Jennifer and they do. They give Elise exactly what she wants which is a huge mistake. She will screw them just as soon as she can and they will only have themselves to blame. Jennifer is amazed by the backstabbing and she argues with them. Elise makes a smart comment as Jennifer is leaving and Jennifer gives her the finger and tells her to f**k herself(watch second video above). Jennifer did deserve to go home, but Elise is the one who messed up loads of salmon and got another free pass. I am disappointed with this..

Hells Kitchen, Season 9, Episode 11 and 12

Last week, we said goodbye to Jamie and Carrie and Elise lived to see another day surprisingly. We are down to 7 chefs now.

Episode 11 begins with Chef Ramsay giving them a pep talk. He tells them that they are going to NYC to BLT Steak to see the restaurant. When they arrive, they have to go to all different ethnic restaurants and taste the food. It ends up at BLT Steak and they get to see the kitchen etc. Their challenge is to make an ethnic cuisine. Each person gets one dish to make. The red team wins and they go to the beach. The blue team are pissed that they lost once again. That night, Service begins and Natalie is the first to irritate Chef Ramsay. She can't cook her scallops again!!!He is not impressed with her. Elizabeth starts to have a meltdown in the kitchen and her team try to help her.

Tommy doesn't cook his onion rings properly and gets yelled at(watch video above). Elizabeth continues on her downward spiral and she hands up food which is below par. She gets frazzled and she needs to calm down. She comes back and the others moan about her. Elise hands up her meat and she tries to blame Tommy for her mistake. It is shown on the tape that she lied and Chef Ramsay is not impressed. The blue kitchen are pissed at her for coming over into Tommy's face. She is a liar and a bitch. Natalie is going downhill. All of her fish is returned by the customers. Elisabeth can't cook her fish and she is holding everything up. Elise hands up overcooked and dry meet and she still can't accept responsibility. Elise and Elizabeth are thrown out and Jennifer has to finish up on her own. There is no winner tonight. Each team has to pick one person to leave. The red team pick Elise and the blue team choose Natalie. Natalie gets the boot and rightly so. She started very strongly and she went downhill from there.

Episode 12 begins with Elizabeth telling everyone that she will not have a meltdown again. The others do not believe her. I just can't understand how she is still in the competition.Their challenge is to make a 30,20 and 10 minute entree. Each chef has to pick one. The men win and Elise starts bawling which is really silly. The men go shopping while the ladies have to set up the dining room etc. There is going to be a charity event that night and they have to be on their best behaviour for the v.i.p's who will be coming to stuff their faces. That night, each chef will be in charge of two dishes. They all have to make sure that their plates all go out together and that the food will be perfect.

Paul is first up and he goes mad at Tommy when he doesn't make the salad properly. Elizabeth is first in the red kitchen, but she needs a lot of help from the others. Tommy is making his risotto and Will intervenes and tries to help him. Tommy is not pleased. He has to show them to Chef Ramsay and he has to do them again. He eventually gets it right. Jennifer is doing her dish and Elise is helping by standing around and doing nothing and when she does, she messes it up. They argue and Jennifer tells her she doesn't need her. The men are doing well. Elizabeth has her course ready to early and she annoys Chef Ramsay. Elise is doing her dish and she is acting like a complete cow. She is so bossy.
Tommy is in his own world and he suddenly steps up and gives his team direction for his dish. Chef Ramsay is impressed. Elise is annoyed when her mashed potatoes are tasted by Chef Ramsay and they are not seasoned properly. She blames the other members of her team. So when Jennifer is making her dessert, Elise doesn't cook the fruit properly and Jennifer gets screwed up. She thinks that Elise did it on purpose. Everyone is up for elimination and there are five black jackets for the finalists. Elizabeth gets sent home(watch video above) and I have to agree with that decision as she was not up to the challenge anymore. There are only five left and I am really hoping that Elise will get kicked out very soon!!!

Hell's Kitchen, Season 9, Episode 9 and 10

Last week, we saw the end of Krupa and Jonathan. Now there are only nine chefs left.

This week's episode begins with Elise thanking herself for running everything on her own perfectly. She is so annoying! Everyone is tired of hearing her bleating on about herself. She couldn't work in a kitchen with a team- she would have alienated everyone in ten minutes with her huge mouth. The challenge this week is to come up with a romantic dessert. Chef Ramsay brings in two chefs to judge them. The girls decide to drop Elise's dessert and when Chef Ramsay tastes it, he tells them that they made the right choice. The red team win and they get to go to Las Vegas. The blue team have to make the dining room romantic for date night.

Service begins and Tommy is told to wake up by Chef Ramsay. In the red kitchen, Carrie tries to communicate with Elise and gets no answer. It is ridiculous. Tommy is messing up his scallops and he gets caught making the same mistake twice. Jamie hands up a dish with a hair in it(watch video above). She gets blamed for it even though she tries to deny it. Tommy is sent out of the kitchen to get some air. Carrie sends up burnt fish and pretends that she did not see it. Carrie is thrown out despite her objections. Tommy comes back with fight in him. In the red kitchen, Jamie seems to be losing her grip and she gets shouted at again. Paul hands up raw chicken and gets thrown out. Elise hands up a vegetarian dish with lobster in it!  She hands Chef Ramsay overcooked oysters. She gets kicked out. Without Carrie or Elise the other three work on. To be honest, I can't see any of the red team winning. I think that Will might be a good frontrunner. The blue team wins and the red team have to pick two to go home. They choose Carrie and Elise. Chef Ramsay chooses Jamie and rightly so.

Episode ten begins with the cows on the red team moaning that Carrie didn't get kicked out even though Jamie handed up a dish with her hair in it!!!!I hate the bully tactics that those women have. Jennifer seems to be particularly mean and it turns me off. Even though Carrie might not be the best chef, I don't like to see one person singled out for hassle. Elise should have been kicked out already for her terrible attitude. Anyway, the challenge this week is the taste test. The red team wins and Elise tells them that she won it for them and gets praise from Chef Ramsay. She loves the attention. The girls get to go to the Hollywood Hills and they have lunch etc. The blue team have to peel and deseed loads of grapes.

That night, the teams have to serve the tables and then cook. The red team decide to serve first and then cook later. Carrie does very well at the waitressing unlike some of the others. Tommy seems to be falling behind again. Natalie hands Chef Ramsay meat which seems to be overcooked. She does it twice. Their time is up and they have to go and serve while the red team goes into the kitchen. Tommy is terrible at waiting on tables and he gets yelled at for his woeful writing on his tickets. Elise hands up raw fish. She isn't as good as she thinks she is. Jennifer starts shouting at Carrie about her dish and she is getting to be as nasty as Elise. Carrie burns her potatoes and gets in trouble. The others are moaning about her. Elise drops her fish on the floor. There is no winner and each team have to pick one person from each team. I knew that the red team would pick Carrie despite Elise's mistakes. The blue team pick Tommy. Carrie gets kicked out and everyone on the red team is delighted, especially Elise(watch video above). I think that Elise should have went home after her bad performance, but for some reason, she gets a pass. I guess the nastier you are, the longer you stay in.... We are down to eight now.

Hell's Kitchen, Season 9 Episode 7 and 8

Last week saw the end of Gina and Monterray and not before time! This week we are down to eleven chefs.

So, this week begins with Jonathan realising that he has to pull his socks up or he will be gone.Krupa has too much to drink and she entertains the others. The next morning, she is sick with a hangover. The challenge is to make dishes with beer in them. Krupa is not up to scratch. They drop her dish as it is horrible. The blue team wins the challenge and they get to go to a Grand Prix race. The ladies have to deal with the deliveries. Elise starts crying and she looks stupid. She doesn't pull her weight and just watches everyone else doing the hard work. The others are annoyed and they tell her that. She just doesn't take any criticism and they argue. When they are prepping for service, Elise tries to help them out which is strange.

Service begins and Elise seems to have a new attitude. Somehow, it won't last, I think. Natalie hands Chef Ramsay scallops which aren't cooked properly. Elise hands up soggy salad and she messes up Carrie. Natalie is still not getting her scallops right. She wastes over 30 scallops(watch video above). She eventually gets it right with help from Will. Krupa is getting all of her times wrong. Jamie falls behind too.Elise tries to take over with her loud mouth. Tommy gets into trouble for having his pastry soggy and Jonathan tries to screw him. Elise is pissing everyone off by yelling at them. Krupa overcooks her food. Jonathan hands up overcooked meat also and he gets yelled at and thrown out of the kitchen along with Natalie. The other members of the blue team finish up. The losing team is the red team and blue team. They have to pick two from each team to get the boot so the red team pick Krupa and Jamie and the blue team choose Natalie and Jonathan. Krupa gets the boot and that's that.

Episode 8 begins with Chef Ramsay telling the red and blue team to choose one chef to lead the team. The blue team choose Will and the red team pick Jennifer. Chef Ramsay tells them to pick the weakest link and Jennifer picks Carrie(no surprise there) and Will picks Tommy. The challenge is for each team to cook American classics and Carrie and Tommy will decide what everyone will cook. Elise is moaning as usual. They have a guest chef to judge which dishes are the best. The red team wins and they get to go to a comedy club. The blue team have to clean and prep the kitchens and clean the dorms. They are pissed off. Jonathan gets a mysterious strain in his neck and he misses all of the work. The blue team are very annoyed with him. He finally comes back.

Service begins and there are some U.S. Coastguards in the dining room. Carrie is having a hard time with her pizza. Jonathan isn't cooking his pasta right at all. Natalie is trying to get him to move but he is not doing his job.He hands up pasta which tastes horrible and Chef Ramsay wants a chat with Jonathan(watch video above). Jonathan gives Chef Ramsay an excuse about his neck and he seems to have given up. He tries to fight back. The red team start to work well together. The blue team falls apart. Tommy starts to laugh when Natalie almost falls over him opening the oven. He messes up once again on his meat and Chef Ramsay is very frustrated. The red team are finishing up and the blue team struggle to finish too.The blue team are the losers and they have to pick two people to go home. They choose Natalie and Jonathan. Jonathan gets kicked out and we are now down to 9 chefs.

Hells Kitchen, Season 9, Episode 5 and 6

Last week saw the departure of Chino. So, we are down to 13 chefs.

Episode 5 begins with Elise attacking everyone yet again. She cannot seem to shut the hell up. The challenge this week begins with Chef Ramsay bringing in two chefs who do unusual food. They use all sorts of chemistry to come up with strange recipes. The contestants have to make something just using water. They can boil, poach or steam things. They all set about making their dishes. The red team have to drop one of the dishes as they have too many and Elise decides that Carrie's should be dropped without even tasting it. The others agree. Krupa puts up her dish and she says that it is veal but it isn't. It is a different cut of beef(see video above). The red team are amazed at her stupidity. Also, Carrie's dish turns out to be the best one and they didn't pick it so they lose. The blue team win and they are treated to a day at a spa in Beverly Hills. The red team have to clean the fountain in Hell's Kitchen. They have to prep both kitchens. The girls moan and bitch as usual while the blue team enjoy themselves.

That night, service begins and Krupa is off to a bad start. Jonathan is having problems remembering his menu.
Krupa is sinking fast. Monterray is not having a great night either and he can't handle his meat station. Krupa is thrown out of the kitchen after another mistake. Tommy looks lost in the kitchen and he isn't communicating with anyone. Chef Ramsay is pissed at him. The red team are falling apart as Gina doesn't know what she is doing. Monterray is still getting his meat wrong and he is holding up the whole kitchen. He and Tommy get thrown out of the kitchen. Gina hands Chef Ramsay a raw piece of fish and he throws Elise and Gina out.
As usual, Elise blames everyone else. She takes no responsibility for her own actions. There is no winning team so each team have to choose two people to go. The red team choose Krupa and Elise and the blue team chooses Tommy and Monterray. Gina gets the boot and rightly so.

Episode 6 begins with Elise trying to work on her attitude, but you know that it won't last long. She is delighted to be staying and she pisses off everyone. For their challenge, the two teams have to talk to a high school reunion committee who want to hold their party in Hell's Kitchen. Paul and Elizabeth go to talk to them and see what they want and then they go into the kitchen to create something Hawaiian for them. They are supposed to tell the rest of their teams what the committee wanted. Elizabeth messes up and doesn't tell her team that they wanted Hawaiian. Some of their dishes are not what the committee wanted. Elise gives one of the vegetarian ladies a dish with bacon in it and that does not go down well(see video above). Elizabeth never told the others to have a vegetarian dish. The blue team win the challenge and they get a day out on a yacht. The red team have to decorate the dining room for the Hawaiian night. They fight as usual. They have to assemble a cake and they can't even do that right.

Service begins and Chef Ramsay sees the cake. He is not serving it. The blue team start out very well. The red team doesn't. The usual communication problems surface and Carrie and Elise are at each other's throats again. On the blue team, Paul gives Chef Ramsay raw fish. The red team are leaderless so big mouth Elise steps up. Paul is still handing up raw fish and he is thrown off the fish station. Monterray and Jonathan take over. Monterray is pissed at him because he thinks that Jonathan is not pulling his weight. Monterray hands Chef Ramsay raw fish and he gets the whole team thrown out of the kitchen. The red team finish up their food for them. The blue team loses and they choose Monterray and Paul to go home. Monterray gets the boot.
That's all for this week....
