Zack and Miri Make a Porno Movie Review 4

Zack and Miri Make a Porno is the latest Movie from one of my favourite writer/directors Kevin Smith.He is the guy behind Clerks,Mallrats and Jay and Silent Bob strike back.He also acted as the Warlock in Live Free or Die Hard.If you have not seen any of those movies I would suggest you try to see Clerks.It was made on a shoestring budget but is a very good movie.Zack and Miri stars Seth Rogen of Superbad fame and Elizabeth Banks.They play two roommates who are fast running out of money.The bills are piling up and they can't pay rent so they resort to desparate measures! What would you do in their situation? You would make a Porn movie! What else?!

So they begin rounding up their friends and casting people for parts in the movie.They barely have any money for it so its all totally cheap! Of course as they are roommates they are strictly just friends and the whole thing is just business to get money...........yeah right! Zack obviously fancies Miri for a long time but she has always viewed him as a brother.Its kind of obvious where the movie is going with everything but its really very funny.They toy around with spoof names of famous movies and they audition people for the parts.Smith's dialogue is always the best with characters going back and forth with great lines.Justin Long who was also in Live Free or Die Hard with Kevin Smith is very good as a gay porn actor along with Brandon Routh who played Superman in Superman Returns.Regulars from Smith's previous movies are there also such as the ever present Jason Mewes and Jeff Anderson.

This movie is best when they are setting up and doing the porn movie but it does kind of fizzle out near the end into predictability.That is not to say it's not good as it is very funny and had brilliant laugh out loud lines such as "That Chick frosted me like I was a cake!!!!" Wait till you see the scene you will laugh out loud too!!!! I would definitely recommend you seeing this movie as it is great for a laugh.Its not a great movie but will definitely entertain you for an hour and a half.
