I Spit on Your Grave 2(2013)

I Spit on Your Grave 2 is a 2013 horror movie sequel to the 2010 remake. It is directed by Steven R.Monroe and stars Jemma Dallender in the lead role.

Katie Carter(Dallender) is a model who is looking for her big break. She reads about a free photography session and she decides that it could be good for her career. She goes there and finds three Eastern European guys there. It is all very dodgy. Ivan(Joe Absolom) is the photographer and he wants her to pose nude, which she refuses. He has two helpers called Nicky and Georgy. She gets a visit later from Georgy with her pictures. He leaves, but comes back later that night and rapes her and ties her up. He calls Ivan and Nicky and they decide to take her off with them to Bulgaria.

She wakes up in a dank basement and more brutality ensues. She manages to escape but she ends up meeting Georgy and Nicks mother who poses as a social worker and he brings her back to the basement where there is more horror. Anyway, they bury her alive and think that that is the end of her.  She is saved when the box falls through into a sewer and she finds her way into a church and meets a priest who gives her clothes etc. The rest of the movie revolves around her getting the bad guys back etc etc. If you want to know the ending, then here it is. She survives. That is it.

Sorry if you liked this movie, but I didn't like this film at all. I think that these movies have been done to death. This is just by the numbers rubbish. I didn't like the story and it was just so predictable because it has been done already and there is nothing new here. Avoid. In my opinion, this was just a nasty, crappy film with nothing original in it at all. Watch the original I Spit on Your Grave(1978) and save yourself some time. I give this 1/10.

I just saw this the other night along with the remake of the original. You are right. It is formulaic and staid. To me it was more like an exercise in torture porn. Although I will give the methods a B for originality.
You are right. Nothing beats the power of the original film. It was more brutal without focusing on the torture aspect. You could literally feel the main character's vulnerability.
Good review!

Thanks!I hated this film.I guess I felt that there was zero originality and I did not like the lead. The scene with the crushed testicles was eye watering. Not really my thing at all.

Sounds terrible but I'm *STILL* tempted to watch it! Resisting is impossible.

No worries if I hate it, I won't fault you. As a good American I'll have to blame the Russians.
