This episode returns to Carol who has been shot, if you remember the last season. She is brought to a place called 'The Kingdom' by Morgan and two people called Richard and Daniel. She wakes up later and she talks to Morgan. He tells her what is happening and she is brought to meet the leader of 'The Kingdom'. His name is Ezekiel(Khary Payton). He is the king of this place and he has a pet tiger called Shiva. He seems like he is pretending to be in a play or something and Carol doesn't know what to make of him. He offers her some fruit, but she won't take it. She is determined to get out of there.
Morgan doesn't share her feelings and he likes being there. He works with some of them to feed walkers to some pigs which will be given to The Saviors who will come calling for their supplies. They have no choice but to give in to Negan and his group as they don't have an army to fight back. The Saviors throw their weight around and cause a fight. They threaten Richard if they do not get better stuff the next time. Carol decides to take off again and she gets herself some supplies when she gets caught by Ezekiel and they have a heart to heart talk. He tells her that he knows that 'The Kingdom' is all a facade and that he is an amateur actor and zookeeper and that he continues on with it because it makes people feel better. He tells her that there is a house outside and that she can live there so she will not be part of the community but she can come in if she wants. She agrees and they become friends.
A good episode, setting up another storyline. It is good to see more characters being introduced.Oh yes, and I loved the tiger!!!
This episode begins with Eve going to see Ben to force him to tell her where he was held. He tells her that it is called Wolf Creek. She finds a scrap book under Johnny's head and she looks at it. There are newspaper clippings about a missing child. She was Mick's sister and she disappeared when she was out with Mick and a man approached them. He offered them sweets. Mick refuses it and they run off. When Mick got back home, his father punished him for losing his sister. Cut to Hill, who is chained up in Mick's place. Mick is waiting for Eve. She buys a can of petrol and heads off to get Mick. She arrives at his place and looks around. There is a body under the floorboards.
Mick comes and he tells her that the body is one of his parents. Eve looks around and she finds Hill in Mick's shed. He catches her and gives her a choice. She can kill Hill quickly or he can kill him slowly. She discovers that Mick killed his own sister. He kills Hill but not before Hill brings down the ceiling on him. Mick isn't dead. He gets back up and he throws his knife at Eve and hits her on the shoulder. She throws her javelin at him and pins him to the wall. She stabs him and she thinks that he is dead. She finds Hill and tells him that she got Mick. He dies in her arms.
She sets fire to Mick's place. She goes away, thinking that Mick had died. The next day, she goes back but there is no trace of Mick. She lays Hill to rest and then the cops turn up. She disappears. She ends up meeting the lady truck driver from earlier and she gets a lift with her. The old man who helped her sees her leaving. The series ends with Mick back on the road.. This series was great. I loved it. It matched the movies perfectly and John Jarratt was excellent as Mick. I really hope that there will be more episodes! It was so well made and so faithful to the original movie. I liked the character of Mick and I liked that we got to find out more about his past. I am glad that he wasn't killed off. Let's hope that there will be a season two!
Well, here it is, the seventh season of The Walking Dead and I think that everyone knew who was going to get battered by Negan(Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Lucille. The first episode begins with Rick threatening to kill Negan after one of the group is murdered. Negan isn't impressed, though and he takes Rick off with him to the RV and talks to him. He throws an axe on the roof and tells Rick to go up there. Rick collapses on top of the RV and remembers what happened that night. We see Abraham fall victim to Lucille and he dies. This was not much of a surprise to me, but I was disappointed all the same. Abraham was a good, tough guy who was a real plus to the group. He took no prisoners, but I liked him. Anyway, Abraham dies. Rosita is devastated and Negan rubs her nose in it by getting her to look at the bat which is covered in Abraham's blood. Daryl explodes and tries to get Negan but to no avail.
Unfortunately for Daryl, his actions make Negan even more angry and he takes his anger out on Glenn who is the next to die. I know that this was expected as it was in the comic, but I didn't think that he was going to get it so soon. Maggie is devastated, obviously. Cut back to Rick who gets down from the RV and gives Negan the axe and they return to the horror. Negan tries to get Rick to cut off Carl's arm in a ploy to get him to submit to him. Rick has no choice but he is stopped before he can do it. Negan takes Daryl with him and he tells them that he will be back in a week and they will be expected to have supplies for him.
The rest of the group head back to Alexandria. They bring Abraham and Glenn with them. This episode was brutal but I liked the dark tone here. It is violent and nasty, but that is great. Negan has to be built up to be the ultimate psychopathic creep who doesn't care who he hurts. He needs to be the real baddie if there is to be a battle between good and evil. I think that Jeffrey Dean Morgan has done a great job. He is the smiling killer, the twisted psycho who plays his psychological games with the group and tries to break them. I liked this episode because it shows how bad he is. I know that some people didn't like the violence here, but I loved it, even if it did mean that we lost two regulars. I guess that I wasn't a huge fan of the Glenn and Maggie relationship for some reason. I don't know why but anyway, this episode was great, in my opinion.
Foster stars as Meg Altman, a divorced woman with an 11 year old called Sarah(Stewart). They are looking for a new place to live and they look a properties. Meg finds a nice house and she buys it. It is a really nice place with a little oddity. It has a panic room. This is a secure room which has a steel door, security cameras, a separate phone line and everything a person could need to stay in there if needs be. Unfortunately for Meg and Sarah, someone else also knows about the panic room. He is called Junior(Leto) and he has stashed 3 million dollars in bonds inside it. He knows the place as he is the grandson of the last owner. He has two people with him to help him to get the bonds. They are Burnham(Whitaker) who knows all about the security in the place and Raoul(Yoakam) who is a thug and who has a gun. He is a bit of a loose cannon.
They come to the house and they are determined to break into the safe. They realise that there are people there, but they decide to keep going. But, they get spotted by Meg who grabs Sarah and runs into the panic room to hide. The phone line doesn't work so they can't call the cops. The crooks try and gas them through the vent but Meg ignites the gas and forces a fire through the vent. Juniors face gets burned. Meg manages to fix the phone line for a few minutes before it is cut off by the bad guys. She calls her ex husband. Junior decides to give it up as he can't see any way to get into the panic room. He is going to leave but gets shot by Raoul who will not give up on the money. He forces Burnham to continue with the robbery.
The husband turns up but gets caught by the two thieves and beaten. He is taken hostage. Meg ends up outside the panic room and her daughter has a seizure. She needs her medication and Meg gets it for her and throws it into the room. She gets locked out and her daughter is inside with Burnham and Raoul.Burnham gives her the medication and she recovers. He doesn't want to hurt anyone. The cops come, but Meg has no choice but to lie to them in order to keep her daughter safe. Burnham manages to get the money and then he and Raoul are going to leave using Sarah as protection. Meg attacks Raoul and all hell breaks loose. The movie ends with Burnham shooting Raoul and trying to escape, but he gets caught by the cops. He lets the money go. Meg and Sarah look for a new place to live and the movie ends.
I saw this in the cinema when it was originally released and I liked it a lot. It is well directed and very tense. I liked the cast. Foster is great in the main role and the baddies are played very well by Leto, Whitaker and Yoakam.I am not a huge fan of Stewart and this movie does nothing to change my mind. This was a treat for me because I am a huge fan of Dwight Yoakam. Seeing him in this role was something new and he did very well here. It is an interesting story. The idea of the panic room is great. It is supposed to be a sanctuary, but ends up like a prison in the end. I think that if you enjoy a decent thriller with a great cast then this will be for you. I recommend it and I will give it a 7/10.
The movie begins three years after the original. Charley Brewster(Ragsdale) is talking to his doctor about the events from the previous movie. He thinks that the vampire angle was just in his mind and that Jerry Dandridge was a serial killer who thought that he was a vampire. He is dating a girl called Alex(Traci Lind) and she knows all about his problems. Charley goes to visit Peter Vincent(Roddy McDowall) and they talk about what happened. Charley looks out of the window of Peter's apartment and he sees a weird bunch of people unloading what look like coffins and bringing them into the building. He dismisses it as his imagination but he sees them in the lobby and he is drawn to a woman who is in the group. When he is kissing his girlfriend, he sees the woman's face and it shocks him. At Alex's dorm at her college, one of the group called Belle who is a vampire kills a young woman. Another vampire called Louie(Jon Gries) is outside Alex's window looking at her. He falls off the window ledge when she closes it on his hands. There is a weird chauffeur with them called Bozworth(Brian Thompson).
Charley has a dream about the woman who is called Regine(Julie Carmen) who comes to his place and bites his neck where he had cut himself shaving. Was she really there? He runs off to his doctor who tells him not to worry and to go bowling which he does. He seems to be affected by the sunlight so he wears dark glasses. He makes a date with Alex but then he sees his pal Richie going into the apartment with Regine and her followers. He looks through the window and sees them biting him. He calls to Peter and tells him what is going on and they go to the apartment. There is a party going on. Charley finds Richie and looks for bite marks but can't see any. He thinks that he was wrong about it all and he leaves to meet Alex. Alex has been waiting and she is approached by Louie who follows her into the building.
Peter is still at the party when he realises that Regine and her crowd don't have any reflections. This proves that they are vampires. Regine follows him and tells him that she is the sister of Jerry Dandridge and that she has come to get revenge on Charley and Peter. He leaves and runs to call Charley. He can't get him on the phone. Charley gets a late night visit from Regine and she bites him. He begins to turn into a vampire. He goes looking for Peter when he finds out that his pal Richie has been found dead. Peter seems to have gone. He sees that Regine has taken over his show and he is horrified. Louie follows Alex to the library and he tries to get her to meet him alone. Charley shows up and Louie isn't happy. He turns into a vampire and threatens them. Alex manages to stop him by shoving roses into his mouth. He runs away. Alex believes that there are vampires now.
Peter gets arrested when he tries to kill Regine. He is sent to a state hospital. Alex and Charley are arrested by the campus police. Charley is bailed out by Regine and taken away to her apartment. Alex goes to the hospital to get Peter out. She does so with the help of another patient. They drive to the local church and get some tools to destroy Regine and her crowd. They discover Charley who is half vampire. Regine is getting him ready for his first taste of blood. She wants revenge for her brother's death. Peter and Alex try and destroy the vampires one by one. Charley helps all he can. They put communion wafers into Regine's coffin and this stops her from returning there. She gets killed when Peter uses a mirror to shine sunlight on her. She melts. The movie ends with Alex and Charley together and wondering if there are more vampires out there. They laugh about it and there is the sound a bat in the distance suggesting that there are.
I liked this film. It was not as good as the original, but it was great fun. Ragsdale and McDowall were both good in their roles here and it was an entertaining sequel. I read that it didn't do very well at the box office,but I think that is because it had a limited release. I can't understand why this has such a low rating because I liked it a lot. I liked the story line and the cast were great. There are some good moments in this. I had never seen this movie before I watched it the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. If you enjoyed the first film, then this will be for you. I recommend it. I will give it a 7/10.
We are coming close to the end of the series now and things are really hotting up. Eve is working in a bar now. She has been living with her co worker in a mobile home. She happens to see a man who was in the files and she wants to talk to him. She sees Mick who comes into the bar and she goes to the cops but loses her nerves before she can tell them anything. Mick realises that something is up and he goes outside. Eve tries to follow him and she memorises his licence plate. She is behind him but she has to pass him. He drives past her and she lets him. He looks back at her and he knows that it is Eve.
She calls Hill and tells him that she has found the guy. She tells him the number plate and he looks it up for her. It is from a stolen truck. He finds out where she is living and he catches up with her. He tells her that she should go home. He wants her to leave it to him but she refuses. He decides that they should work together to get Mick. Hill sees Mick in his truck and he pulls his gun. He follows him but Mick is one step ahead and he stabs him in the side. He takes him away. Meanwhile, Eve goes to see the man who was in her files. His name is Jesus and she talks to him about Mick. His name is Ben and he was the guy from the original Wolf Creek movie. He was crucified by Mick and he seems to have lost his mind.
Eve returns home to find that Mick has been there and he has sent her a message that he has Hill. She runs to the local cop and finds that he has been killed. She has no choice but to go and look for Hill herself. She gets herself a gun and she buys a dog trap. She tells her friend to tell Mick where she is. She goes to an old graveyard and waits. Her friend sees Mick and she tells him where Eve is. The bikers overhear this and they go to get her too. It so happens that Johnny, the escapee has heard and he is going there to help her. He knows one of the bikers and he tells him to get away or else. He finds Eve and she tells him about Mick. They kiss. She takes some painkillers and falls asleep, While she is asleep, Mick arrives and takes her gun. He also beheads Johnny. Eve wakes up and sees what has happened.
This was a great episode with loads happening. Very good stuff.
This episode begins with Mick walking over to the van but it is not Eve but other tourists. He kills them. Eve arrives in Opalville looking for Mick. She talks to the mother of a missing girl who might have been killed by Mick. She tells her that she is doing a story about her daughter, but the father doesn't believe her. He did something to his daughter.He turns out to be a nut and he attacks the mother and then turns on Eve. She pulls her gun, but he gets it away from her and they fight. She ends up getting bitten by a snake and crashing her van.
She wakes up at a campsite with an old man. He has saved her life. Hill heads back to the roadhouse and he asks about Eve again. He discovers that it is for sale. She tells him that Eve was headed for Opalville. Meanwhile, Eve talks to the old man and he shows her how to throw a spear, but she is able to throw a javelin already. Hill is at the site of the tourist murders and he finds a shotgun shell. Eve leaves the old man and sets off on her own again. She runs into the mother from earlier and finds her burying her husband who killed himself .She gives Eve a jeep to help her. She runs into Hill who chases her, but she gets away. She picks out another place to go and gets a tattoo. Mick has the woman from the roadhouse captured and he is going to kill her.
Gil Renard(DeNiro) is a knife salesman who is divorced with a son. He is mentally unstable and aggressive. He is not getting on very well at work and he is frustrated. The only thing that makes him feel good is watching baseball. He follows the San Francisco Giants and his favourite player is a new one called Bobby Rayburn(Snipes). Unfortunately, Bobby gets injured and Gil gets very upset over it. He doesn't tolerate any criticism of Bobby and he gets angry with those who criticise him. He gets fired as he is too aggressive to the customers. His ex wife,Ellen(Patti D'Arbanville) is not happy with his behaviour and stops him from seeing his son and gets a restraining order against him. This pushes him closer to the edge.
He becomes even more obsessed with Bobby and he ends up stabbing a teammate of Bobby's called Juan Primo(del Toro) to death in a sauna. Bobby gets accused of the murder as they had a fight before his death. Rayburn gets back to playing baseball and he does very well. Gil thinks that Bobby should thank the fans for sticking by him. When he doesn't, Gil becomes angry. He goes to Bobby's house and sees his son in trouble in the water. He rescues him and earns Bobby's thanks. He gets to talk to Bobby and they come around to the subject of the fans. Bobby doesn't have much time for his fans, thinking that they are not loyal. Gil gets angry and freaks him out. He realises that Gil has problems.
Gil kidnaps Bobby's son. He is lost in his own thoughts and he is losing his sanity. He brings the son with him to visit an old pal and when the friend realises what he is doing, Gil kills him with a baseball bat. He calls Bobby and tells him that he has to hit a home run and dedicate it to him or else he will kill his son. Bobby tries to hit a home run but gets into difficulty. He sees Gil on the field and he attacks him. Gil gets shot dead by the police. The movie ends with the police finding all of Gil's clippings and seeing his complete obsession with Bobby. They see a picture of Gil as a child playing baseball.
This movie was very good. De Niro revisits psycho territory with this movie. He is convincing as the aging, mentally ill man who is losing his grip on reality. He zones in on his favourite player and gets completely obsessed with him. Snipes is good as Bobby. This is De Niro's movie from start to finish. I liked it and I found it interesting. It is well worth a watch if you enjoy a good thriller. I will give it a 7/10.
This movie is based on the novel written by Bret Easton Ellis which has been reviewed here. The story begins with a guy called Patrick Bateman(Bale). He is a very handsome, vain and ambitious person. He is an investment banker and he has a fiancee called Evelyn(Witherspoon). He lives in a world of fancy restaurants, trendy bars and fast cars. Bateman narrates the movie telling us all about his routines which include his exercise regimen and his skincare habits. He is a perfectionist. He has everything that a person could want- money, a nice place to live and a great job. But, he is not happy with this. He gets annoyed at a co worker, Paul Allen(Leto) and he murders an innocent man because of this. He eventually gets Paul back to his apartment and kills him with an axe while listening to Huey Lewis and the News!!! He makes it look as if Paul has decided to leave town so nobody will miss him.
Patrick is interviewed about Paul by a private eye, Kimball(Dafoe). He is not under suspicion. He plays around with two hookers and mistreats them for his pleasure. Things go from bad to worse for Bateman when he gets pissed at another co worker. He is going to kill him, but can't follow through. His co worker thinks that he was coming on to him and he is happy about it. Patrick is disgusted and leaves. He talks to Kimball again but nothing is really resolved. He murders two women after having a threesome with them. He dumps his fiancee. Patrick becomes more unhinged and he attacks a woman on the street and then is chased by the cops. He shoots their cars and he escapes. He leaves a confession on his lawyer's answering machine as he thinks that he has been discovered.
The movie comes to an end with Patrick meeting his lawyer who thought that he was someone else and who said that he had dinner with Paul Allen so he couldn't be dead. Patrick realises that his confession was useless and that he has literally gotten away with murder. So, nothing has really been resolved. The book has a similar ending so I suppose you draw your own conclusion. I liked this movie a lot. He has the right amount of comedy and violence here.One one side, he is a normal person but behind the mask lurks a complete psychopath. I like Christian Bale. He is a very handsome man and I enjoy his movies. He is also a great actor, so this movie benefits from having him in the lead role. The book is a lot more violent and graphic. I did find the novel very good, but a little violent in parts. I love that the film is set in the 80's and the cast was great here. I don't know what message this tale sends out. I guess that it is about greed and excess and violence but I would recommend it as a great movie with a fine performance from Bale. I will give it an 8/10.
Well, I cannot believe that it has been eight years already! It doesn't feel that long since Jigsaw's Lair was created. There have been so many movies,TV shows, books,trailers etc watched and looked at over the years. I remember starting the blog and just wanting to share my love of movies, especially horror. Now, I am on Facebook and Twitter which makes it easier to share and connect with readers. I like to know how our readers feel about the blog and reviews and I am thankful that I have many loyal followers who have stuck with us through the years. I really appreciate the support from everyone and I like reading your comments and thoughts about movies etc.Jigsaw's Lair is kept going by your support, so thank you. This movie is based on a true story. It begins with a couple,Cameron(Holtz) and Janice(Williams) Hooker who give a young girl, Colleen(Timlin) a lift in their car. Little does she know that they are not the nice couple that they claim to be. The husband pulls a gun on her and she is taken to their home. The husband tells her that she must do what he says or she will get hurt. He plans to keep her in the basement. Janice tells him not to have sex with her and he promises not to. He makes a box for her to live in. He comes up with a slavery contract and makes her sign it . He tells her that he is in a company who have slaves and that they will kill her if she tries to escape.
They move to a more remote location and Janice has a baby. Colleen looks after her. The years pass and Colleen is called K and she does everything that she is told. She sees other people but she thinks that she will be killed if she tries to escape so she stays. Janice is jealous of K and she thinks that Cameron wants to have sex with her. Colleen realises that she has been with them for years. She lives in a box under their bed. Cameron decides that he does want to have sex with K. He tells Janice that she had better accept it and so Janice and K become friends. Cameron tells K that she can have a visit home so they both go to see Colleen's family. She doesn't tell them anything and she acts as if everything is okay, believing that her family will be hurt if she tells anyone.
Janice decides to leave. K is left alone with Cameron and he treats her badly. Janice arrives one day when he is not home and gets her out of there. She tells her that all of Cameron's talk about the company was not real and that she was free to leave any time. Colleen is devastated. Janice takes her to a bus station and gets her a ticket home. She calls Cameron and tells him. He breaks down. The movie ends with news that Cameron received 104 years in prison. Janice got immunity in return for testifying against her husband. Colleen went home and lived her life. This movie was strange. The fact that it is based on a true story makes it even stranger. Who decides to put a woman in a box and keep her as a slave? Very weird. The movie is entertaining and it is fascinating to see what actually happened to Colleen. I suppose I did find it hard to understand why she didn't leave but then if you are in a certain situation, it is not easy to leave. She thought that her life was in danger, which seems very naive to me, but people can get taken in by stuff like that. The cast was good and I would recommend this if you like true crime movies. I will give it a 6/10.
So, 1995. It wasn't the best year for horror related movies really, but there were some interesting films and some not so interesting ones, I will begin, as always, with the best of the lot.
Copycat is a thriller mostly, but I am including it here as it is a great movie and one of my favourites. I love the story and the cast are great. This is one to watch if you have not seen it. Seeing Harry Connick Jr. as a serial killer is worth a watch. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself. That guy is good looking but here, he is nasty. Seven is another thriller which fits in here too. I never really loved this movie despite all of the praise that has been heaped on it. Brad Pitt is Brad Pitt but Kevin Spacey is good in this. Morgan Freeman is good too. Dolores Claiborne is a Stephen King penned novel which was made into a movie in this year and I did read the book and I enjoyed the movie, but not as much as the book, I have to say. Kathy Bates and Jennifer Jason Leigh star in this. Haunted is another novel that I read by James Herbert that was turned into a movie. Again, I liked it, and it starred Aidan Quinn who is a good actor. It is worth a look.
The Mangler is a Tobe Hooper directed horror movie which is based on a short story by Stephen King. It isn't great to be honest. I wanted to like it, but it is mediocre. Ice Cream Man is another one that isn't great either. The Addiction is a vampire movie starring Lili Taylor but I wouldn't count it among my favourites. Lord of Illusions is a Clive Barker directed movie from his short story. It stars Scott Bakula and I liked it. It was pretty good. Night of the Scarecrow is a low budget affair which had me confused as it was like Dark Night of the Scarecrow, another Scarecrow related movie. These scarecrows get around a bit! Vampire in Brooklyn was a Wes Craven directed vampire comedy. It is not really my thing. I am not a huge fan of horror and comedy together so this isn't one that I would re watch.
So, where are we now?The worst movies of 1995. Hmm, there is some competition for this one. Village of the Damned was a remake of the original movie and even though it starred Christopher Reeve. Rumplestiltskin was not good at all. Hideaway which is based on a Dean Koontz novel was not good either. The less said about it , the better. Piranha was a remake of the original and it is bad.
There were plenty of sequels this year. I will begin with Leprechaun 3 which was hilarious. Those movies are so silly but great fun. Candyman 3 was the final in the series of movies and this was probably a good thing. I liked the first one, but the others were not great. Halloween:The Curse of Michael Myers is the sixth movie in the series. It is so so as most of the sequels are. The Howling:New Moon was the seventh film in the series- yes the SEVENTH! Enough said. Rubbish, Witchboard 3:The Possession was released. I haven't seen this one yet but I'm not in a rush to see it. Children of the Corn 3 came out his year and this was just OK. So, 1995 was an okay year for horror. There is nothing very good here other than Copycat and I think that a lot of the films above could be forgotten about. If I have missed anything, let me know.
The movie begins with Riggs(Gibson) and Murtaugh(Glover) working on a case involving South African gold. They are put off the case by a South African diplomat,Arjen Rudd(Joss Ackland) and his sidekick, Pieter Vorstedt(Derrick O' Connor) and Murtaugh gets a bomb in his house and just escapes with his life. The two cops have to look after an irritating witness called Leo Getz(Pesci) instead. The two cops know that Rudd is dodgy and that he has something to do with smuggling but he is a diplomat they can't touch him. Leo gets attacked and it turns out that he has something to do with the South Africans too.
Riggs isn't happy that Rudd seems to be getting away with his shady dealings and he sets out to harass him where he can. He meets Rudd's secretary, Rika van den Haas(Patsy Kensit) and they have a connection. They become close.Vorstedt is on the warpath and he is determined to kill all of the cops on the case. That includes Riggs and Murtaugh. They manage to kidnap Getz and Vorstedt gets Riggs and Rika. He kills her by drowning and he throws Riggs in after her, but he manages to survive. It turns out that Vorstedt was responsible for the death of Riggs' wife as it was meant to be him in the car. This makes Riggs want vengeance and he gets ready to take Rudd and Vorstedt down.
He tells Murtaugh what has happened and his partner agrees to help him no matter what. They go to the house where Leo is being held and they wreak havoc. They get Leo back and then they chase Rudd and Vorstedt who think that they can get away. They end up at the docks and there is a battle between Riggs and Vorstedt which results in Riggs dropping a shipping container on top of him, ending the fight! Riggs gets shot by Rudd but Murtaugh steps in and shoots him dead despite his diplomatic immunity. Murtaugh waits with Riggs as help turns up.
I liked this movie. It was all action and Gibson was great as usual. I liked all of the cast and the story was pretty standard, but good fun. This and the first movie are my favourites. Somehow three and four didn't hit the same heights. Joss Ackland was great as the slimy diplomat who thought that he was above the law. Pesci was great as the really annoying witness who never shuts up! All in all, this film is a great 1980's actioner. I recently watched it after many years and it is still great even after all these years. I will give it an 8/10.
This looks pretty good. I liked the other Pirates of the Caribbean movies. They are good, family friendly fun and of course, Johnny Depp is always great. This will be out next year, around May, so it will be interesting to see how they do with this one. I will be going to see this when it is out! Watch the trailer and see what you think!
