The Final Girls is a 2015 horror comedy directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson and starring Taissa Farmiga and Malin Akerman. The movie begins with a woman called Amanda(Akerman) who was an 80's actress. She is in a really famous slasher movie. Her daughter, Max(Farmiga) is with her and they are driving along when they are involved in a car crash. Max survives but her mother doesn't. Three years later, Max lives with her Aunt Pearl. Max's friend Duncan(Thomas Middleditch) wants her to attend a special screening of her mother's film,Camp Bloodbath and it's sequel, Camp Bloodbath 2: Cruel Summer. Max doesn't want to go but she is persuaded by her other friends,Gertie(Alia Shawkat) and Chris(Alexander Ludwig). Vicki(Nina Dobrev), Chris' ex girlfriend shows up to meet them. They go into the theatre and watch the film. The killer is called Billy Murphy. Suddenly, there is a fire in the theatre and they try to escape. They have to cut a hole in the screen in a bid to get out.
They wake up in a strange place. They have entered the film, somehow. They see characters from the film. They wander around and they meet a van. They decide to get a lift. Max's mother is in it.Her name is Nancy in the film. They are at Camp Blue Finch from the movie. They have no idea how they ended up in the film. Max tries to talk to her mother about sleeping with one of the guys in it. She knows that if she does, it will mean her certain death. The film rolls on with Billy showing up and killing someone. Duncan gets killed also. They can't escape the film. They have to play their part. A girl called Paula shows up. She is the final girl. They want to stay with her as they know that she survives at the end. Billy's back story is discussed. It's the usual bullied kid story.
When Paula is killed, the realise that events from the film are not running smoothly. They need a new virginal final girl. Max is the one. They come up with a plan to get Billy before he can get them. They have to lure him to the camp. He arrives. They use a trap to get him. Unfortunately, he comes back. He kills Gerdie. Max wants Nancy to survive the film and she thinks that he will be able to go back to the real world with her. Max and Billy face off when he kidnaps Nancy. He stabs her but they escape. They have a heart to heart and Max tells Nancy that she is her daughter. Nancy decides that she has to sacrifice herself so that Max can live. She goes out to Billy and gets his attention. He kills her. Max grabs his machete and she goes after him. There is a really lame fight and then she kills him. Chris and Max see the credits roll. They wake up in hospital. The whole gang are there. They think that they are home, but it turns out that they are in the sequel and Billy is back..
This was entertaining. I am not a big fan of horror and comedy together, but I have to say that it was fun. I liked the idea and it was done pretty well. I did not like the final fight between Max and Billy. I thought that it was ridiculous, but apart from that, this was decent. The cast were not bad and there were some obvious nods to Friday the 13th and all of those great 1980's slashers. So, if you like a bit of comedy mixed in with your horror, then give it a try. I recommend it and I will give it a 6/10.
The Haunted Palace is a 1963 horror film directed by Roger Corman and starring Vincent Price, Debra Paget, Lon Chaney Jr. and Frank Maxwell. The movie begins with a girl walking at night in the village of Arkham. Two locals follow her to an old house. They think that the house is evil. She is brought inside by a man and a woman. The man is called Joseph Curwen(Price) and the woman is Hester. Curwen performs a rite on the girl and he is going to sacrifice her to a creature he has in a pit. The locals turn up looking for her. They question the girl but she is in a trance. The locals take matters into their own hands. They burn Curwen alive as they think that he is the Devil. They leave Hester alone. Before he dies, Curwen curses the people in the town and he swears revenge on them and their descendants.
110 years later, a great-great grandson of Joseph Curwen shows up. His name is Charles Dexter Ward(Price) and he is with his wife Anne(Paget). They go to the local tavern and the locals look at them. They are looking for a house that has been left to Charles. The locals tell them to stay away from the house but Dr. Willet(Maxwell) tells them the way. They look around the house. There is a large portrait of Curwen hanging in there. He looks the same as Charles. The caretaker of the house is called Simon(Chaney Jr.). Anne is spooked by the house and Simon. There is a creature in the village who is fed by a local man. Charles is drawn to the portrait and it speaks to him. He decides that he wants to remodel the house and sell it. Anne isn't happy.
The couple walk around town and they see disfigured people. They surround them then walk away. Dr.Willet tells them that the people have been mutated. He tells Charles about Joseph Curwen. He took local girls from the village. He had a book called the Necronomicon. He was able to summon dark gods. The locals believed that Curwen wanted to create a new race with gods and humans and this is why he wanted girls and why some of the people became mutated.Charles hears voices at night and he goes to look at the portrait. He is possessed by the spirit of Curwen. He is using Charles to come back to life. Simon welcomes him back. A friend of Curwen's called Jabez(Milton Parsons) is there to help too. Curwen has the Necronomicon and he plans to bring Hester back to life. Anne becomes worried about Charles as he seems different. Charles tries to fight Curwen and stop him from taking over his body.
Charles tells Anne that she has to leave. Curwen wants her out of the way. He is trying to get Hester back but it isn't working. Charles can't remember what happens when Curwen is in control. He wants to leave the house with his wife. Simon tries to stop him. Charles is leaving when the portrait possesses him again. He tells Anne that they are not leaving. Anne goes to the doctor and tells him about the change in Charles. Curwen decides that he wants revenge. He finally resurrects Hester and the gang are together again. The descendants of those who burned Curwen start to die. The locals are riled up and ready to get Charles. Anne and the doctor look for him to save him from the locals. They find Curwens lair and he catches them. He is going to feed Anne to the creature that he has. The locals are burning the palace. They burn the portrait. Charles comes back to himself and he tells the doctor to save his wife. He is left inside the burning palace by Simon, Jabez and Hester. The doctor helps him to escape and Anne and Charles are reunited. The movie ends with us seeing that Charles has been replaced by Curwen. He has not been destroyed after all...
This is a decent film with Vincent Price stealing the show. I enjoyed the story and it was very entertaining throughout. I want to make my way through all of the Price/Corman movies. I have watched House of Usher, The Masque of the Red Death and now this one. I recommend this if you enjoy Vincent Price films or if you are a fan of Lovecraft and Poe. I will give this a 6/10.
Return of the Living Dead 3 is a 1993 horror movie sequel directed by Brian Yuzna and starring Melinda Clarke, J. Trevor Edmond and Kent McCord. The movie begins with a guy called Curt Reynolds(Edmond) who steals a key card from his father, Col. John Reynolds(McCord) who works at a military base. He takes his girlfriend, Julie(Clarke) to see the place. They enter the facility and spy on his father who is working with others on dead bodies. they are using Trioxin gas which reanimates the corpses. They want to use them as soldiers. The problem is that they are not reliable. They want to eat brains and this keeps them from their function. Julie and Curt watch all of this. The zombie loses control and it goes wild. It bites one of the men and he turns into a zombie also. The experiment is a disaster as they shoot the reanimated corpses. Reynolds is reassigned after this. He tells Curt that they are going to leave. Curt isn't going anywhere and he and Julie ride off on his motorbike. She messes with him and he loses control of the bike and crashes. Julie is killed.
Curt brings her back to the military facility and he tries to bring her back to life using Trioxin. It seems to work. Unfortunately, a zombie has escaped also. It attacks Curt and Julie. They escape from it. Curt knows that Julie is not the same. She bites a man during a robbery at a store. Curt's father discovers that his son is on the run from the police. Julie is getting hungry. She eats a man, causing him to come back and attack the cops. The army guys catch them and they kill the zombie man. Julie and Curt run off. They end up in the sewers. Julie runs off. She ends up in the water. A man is watching her. The robbers from the store are after Julie. They end up in the sewers also. The man from the sewer meets Julie and Curt and he takes them to safety.
John goes looking for his son as some other army guy takes control of the situation. The guy from the sewer is called Riverman. He shows them his home. The robbers are following them, as are the army guys. Julie is changing. She sticks all sorts of sharp objects into her skin. She realises that is she is in pain, her craving for human brains abates. The robbers find them. They are going to kill Curt and Julie. Julie appears in her new form and she kills them all. Curt tries to stop her. Riverman is horrified. The robbers start to change. She kills Riverman. The zombie robbers are trying to get at Curt. John finds them and he sees Julie. He shoots her and she is captured. Curt visits her at the base and he sees what they have been doing to bodies. He doesn't want that to happen to Julie. She is in a cage. He lets all of the zombies out and they attack the staff. He gets bitten himself. John wants Curt to come out but he won't leave Julie. He takes her and they go into the incinerator together.
This was a pretty decent film. Compared to the previous two, it is not as good, but it's a strange one. It is a zombie love story, which is unusual. It has some good moments and it's got some fun scenes. If you are expecting something like the other two, then this will be a surprise. I think that it is worth a look though, as it is entertaining overall. I will give it a 5/10.
Urban Legends:Bloody Mary is a 2005 sequel and the third film in the Urban Legend series and is directed by Mary Lambert. It stars Kate Mara and Tina Lifford. The film begins in 1969 when three girls are drugged by three guys from the football team. They are kidnapped but one of them escapes. Her name is Mary Banner and the captain of the football team chases her before she can tell anyone. He hits her and he knocks her out. He thinks that she is dead, so he locks her in a trunk, not knowing that she was still alive. Years later, a girl called Sam(Mara) and her friends are talking about the same thing. They talk about the legend of Bloody Mary. For some reason, they decide to call up Bloody Mary herself. The next day, the three girls are missing. The football guys in school seem to know something about it. Sam returns and it turns out that she and her friends were drugged. It was the football guys who did it as a prank because Sam had written an article criticising them.
After this happens, Sam starts to see a bloody woman. Is it Bloody Mary? The members of the football team begin to disappear and turn up dead. Sam realises that there is someone with a vendetta against the football team. The captain of the team. Buck, thinks that Sam and her friends are to blame. Sam and her friends find out about Mary Banner and what happened to her all of those years ago. Sam and her brother, David, investigate the case and they look up the other two girls from that night in 1969. There is only one survivor. A woman called Grace(Lifford) is the only one left. At first, she doesn't want to talk to them about it. She changes her mind when she finds out what is happening and she tells them that it is Mary who is killing people. She has come back from the grave to exact her revenge. Mary is taking the children of the guys who drugged her and her friends. Buck tells them that his dad was one of the guys who drugged the girls back then. Buck gets killed when Mary appears.
Sam has a vision and she sees that Mary wasn't dead. She was locked in the box and she suffocated. Grace tells Sam to find Mary's body and lay her to rest. David gets attacked. Sam and Grace go to the school to look for Mary. Sam finds her in the box and she takes her to the graveyard with Grace. Sam's stepfather shows up. Sam had called him to help. It turns out that he was the one who locked Mary in the box and now he has to kill Sam so that she won't tell anyone his secret. He has already killed David. Mary shows up to save Sam from him and she takes him with her to the grave. Sam and Grace survive and the truth about Mary's killer is revealed.
This was an okay film. There wasn't anything special about it. It was more of a supernatural film, unlike the previous two movies. This is the weakest of the three films also. It was middle of the road but I wanted to watch it as I had seen the other two. The story is pretty simple. The cast were okay. It's not really scary at all and there isn't anything new here. It is worth a look but don't expect too much. I will give it a 4/10.
Urban Legend 2:The Final Cut is a 2000 horror movie directed by John Ottman and starring Jennifer Morrison, Matthew Davis, Eva Mendes, Loretta Devine, Hart Bochner, Anthony Anderson and Joseph Lawrence.
The movie begins with students at a film school. There is a film competition and a girl called Amy(Morrison) is going to make a film about an urban legends killer after talking to security guard, Reese(Devine). A girl called Lisa goes for a drink and it is spiked. She passes out and she wakes up in a bath full of ice. Her kidney has been removed. She calls the police and tries to escape, but she gets killed in the process. Amy's friend is also killed and her death is filmed by the killer. Somehow, the killer manages to put it on their camera and they all see it. They don't think that it is real. A student called Travis(Matthew Davis) kills himself over his bad grades. Amy meets his twin, Trevor. He says that his brother did not kill himself. He thinks he was murdered. He asks her not to tell anyone.
Amy's cameraman, Simon is beaten to death. Amy hears someone being attacked. She is looking through her reels when the killer arrives and tries to attack her. She runs off and gets away. She talks to Trevor about what happened.Amy and her crew go to an old place to film some scenes. The killer just happens to be there. He kills a couple of students by electrocuting them. Amy returns to campus and notifies the police, who think it was an accident. Amy sees a light on in the bell tower and she wanders up there to find her friend, Vanessa(Mendes), waiting there for her. Vanessa had received a note from Amy saying that she had feelings for her. It is a forgery and it is a trap. The killer is there and Amy is pursued once again, while Vanessa is killed.Reese shows up and finds the body.
It turns out that Travis had made a film and that all of the people who worked on it are dead except for one- a guy called Toby. They hold him and they call Professor Solomon(Bochner) to tell him what happened. He comes to meet them and there is a confrontation. Toby is innocent. The Professor is the killer. He shoots Toby. He wants to frame Amy for it. Her father was a filmmaker and he didn't vote for Solomon's film in an awards ceremony so his career never took off. He wanted to take Travis' film and pass it off as his own. Reese shows up. She is unaware of who the killer is. They end up holding guns on each other. The Professor gets shot when he tries to kill Amy. The movie ends with Solomon watching Amy's film. He is wheeled back to his room by a nurse, who just happens to be Brenda from the first movie. She tells him that they have a lot in common!!
This was a fun film. It isn't as good as the first one, but there is enough to keep you entertained. It was pretty easy to figure out who the killer was early on. The cast were not bad on the whole. It was a bit silly at the end, but all in all, this was decent enough. I recommend it. I will give it a 5/10.
Urban Legend is a 1998 horror movie directed by Jamie Blanks and starring Alicia Witt, Jared Leto, Tara Reid, Joshua Jackson, Robert Englund and Rebecca Gayheart. The movie begins with a college student being killed by someone who was hiding in the backseat of her car. She was a student of Pendleton University. Everyone on campus is talking about it, including Natalie(Witt) and her friend Brenda(Gayheart). Their friend, Parker(Michael Rosenbaum) is telling them that one of the college buildings was the site of murders years ago. Everyone is spooked. The dean of the university doesn't want everyone to panic. He has a campus police officer called Reese Wilson(Loretta Devine) with him and they are trying to calm it all down. This doesn't sit well with a journalism student called Paul Gardner(Leto). He wants to find out all about the murder.
Natalie goes on a date with a classmate called Damon(Jackson). They are together in his car and he tries to get with her. She doesn't want to, so he goes outside to urinate. There is a killer out there and he ends up being hung from a tree above the car. Natalie sees this and she flees in terror back to the university and she tells Reese. The police come back to the spot with her, but there is no car and no Damon there. It looks like it was a prank. Her friends try to reassure her that it was a joke and that Damon will turn up. Unfortunately, Natalie's roommate gets killed. It is no longer safe. Paul digs into the history of the college and he discovers that there were actually murders there years ago. He finds that there is one person who survived it. He is called Professor Wexler(Englund).
The dean is murdered. Parker is the next to meet his demise during a party. Natalie realises that her friend Sasha(Reid) is in danger and she goes to find her, but she witnesses the killer murdering her. Paul and Brenda meet Natalie and they are all scared that Wexler might be the killer. But when they discover his dead body, they realise that this is not the case. Who is it? They all go in different directions and Natalie finds Brenda in the old building where the murders happened. At first, she thinks that Brenda has been caught by the killer. She gets knocked out and she wakes up to find Brenda standing over her.
She tells Natalie that she murdered those people because Natalie and Michelle had been driving one night and they had played an urban legend trick by turning off their headlights and chasing after the first car who flashed at them. Unfortunately, they hit and killed Brenda's fiancee and she is pissed! She is going to remove Natalie's kidney when Reese shows up and stops her. There is a fight and Reese gets stabbed. Paul shows up, Natalie grabs Reese's gun and shoots Brenda. Brenda takes a dive out of the window. Is she dead? Are they ever?? Everything seems okay as Natalie and Paul drive away to get the police but Brenda pops up and tries to kill them. They crash the car and Brenda flies through the windscreen and into a river. Is she dead now??Nope. The movie ends with Brenda sitting with a different group of students who are talking about what happened at Pendleton. She tells them that the story they heard isn't true. She begins to tell them what really happened.
This film is a favourite of mine. It is similar to Scream, but I don't see that as a bad thing. There is a great cast in this. Jared Leto, Joshua Jackson, Alicia Witt, Robert Englund. The story is decent and the murders are based on various urban legends, hence the movie title. I think it's a lot of fun and I think it was one of those slashers from the 90's that really stood out- like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. If you enjoyed those, then you will like this one. I never hear that much about it and it's a shame because it is a really enjoyable slasher movie with a cast that is impressive. I love watching it every so often and I highly recommend it. I will give this one an 8/10.

Her other brother, Simon(Reed) is not a nice person. He wants to have Eleanor committed to an insane asylum so he can get her money. A nurse has been employed to look after her. They hear the music again and this time they follow it and see Simon playing the organ and there is a child in there with him. The child is wearing a mask. They catch the kid and it is Aunt Harriet! She was protecting Simon, who is insane. Eleanor kisses Tony and she is horrified as she thinks that he is her brother. She decides to end it all. She is in love with him. He tells her that he is not her brother.
Francoise decides to leave. She is caught by Simon and he kills her. Tony asks Eleanor to leave with him. He dismantles the organ and he finds a corpse hidden behind it. Simon shows up and he he tells Tony that he killed his brother. He attacks Tony. He then brings out the corpse and sits it on a chair while he p;lays the organ. Simon plans to kill Tony. Aunt Harriet finds him and she sets the place on fire. Eleanor saves Tony before he is burned to a crisp. Simon goes in to get the corpse of his brother and he can't get out so he dies as he looks at his dead brother's remains.
This was a very good thriller. I liked the cast, especially Oliver Reed. He was perfect as the horrible Simon. He really made this movie better. The story was good and it was interesting to find out the real story at the end. It is a Hammer movie and the director Freddie Francis is responsible for some fine Hammer horror movies such as The Evil of Frankenstein and Dracula Has Risen from the Grave!! I highly recommend this one as I enjoyed it. I will give it a 7/10.
Boar is a 2017 Australian horror movie directed by Chris Sun and starring Nathan Jones, John Jarratt, Bill Moseley, Roger Ward and Simone Buchanan. A couple are in the outback in Australia. They get attacked by something. It is large and it is nasty. Cut to a family who are travelling in Australia. They are Bruce(Moseley), his wife Debbie(Buchanan), her daughter Ella( Christie-Lee Britten), her son Bart(Griffin Walsh) and Ella's boyfriend, Robert(Hugh Sheridan). They are visiting Bernie(Nathan Jones) who is an uncle. He is a giant of a man and he lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Meanwhile, a local man encounters the boar and suffers a painful death. Two locals called Ken(Jarratt) and Blue(Ward) are out in the bush. They see people camping. They go to investigate and they find that the people have been savagely attacked by some creature. They spot the boar. They have no bullets for the rifle Blue goes back to the car to get them. Ken stays with the people at the camp. The boar shows up and it kills Blue.
A couple are attacked in the woods by the boar. The girl is half alive and Ken finds her. He tries to lead the boar away from her but he ends up getting killed. Bernie takes everyone for a walk. They stay while he leaves to go to the local bar where he meets Sasha(Melissa Tkautz), who is Kens daughter. She is worried because her dad has not made contact with her. She asks him to keep an eye out. He is driving along when his truck is hit by the boar. He wakes up later and he grabs his rifle and knife. Robert and Bruce go to find Bernie. Sasha decides to drive out to the bush to find her dad. Bruce gets killed by the boar. Bernie shoots at it but doesn't kill it. Robert tells the others what is happening. He tells them to run. He is the next victim of the big pig. Bernie finds Deb, Ella and Bart. The boar gets Bart.
Bernie and the boar have a right old scrap. He gets gored by it but he doesn't go down without a fight. Ella and Debbie are left. They light a ring of fire around themselves to keep it back. It is waiting for them. Sasha shows up in her truck and she drives into the big pig. Debbie shoots it also to make sure that it is dead. The movie ends with Bart and Bernie surviving the attack. But, who has also survived???The boar, of course!! You can't keep a wild boar down for long!
I found this film a lot of fun. There are obvious comparisons to the 1984 Aussie pig horror, Razorback but this is more modern. I think that this was made cheaply but it doesn't take away from the film at all. I really found it so enjoyable. The guy Bernie was a highlight of this film. He is such a huge guy and the fight between him and the pig was pure fun. I liked the inclusion of John Jarratt and Roger Ward. They are always good in everything. All in all, this is a fun monster movie. There are some gory scenes, which were good and the ending didn't disappoint either. I recommend this one. I thought it was very entertaining. I will give it a7/10.
The Kiss of the Vampire is a 1963 Hammer horror movie directed by Don Sharp and starring Clifford Evans, Noel Willman, Edward de Souza and Jennifer Daniel. The film begins with someone being buried. A man stakes the body in the coffin. There is a vampire in there. Cut to a newly married couple,Gerald Harcourt(de Souza) and his wife, Marianne(Daniel). Their car has broken down on the road. Gerald leaves to get petrol. Marianne is alone on the road. Someone is watching. Gerald returns and they go to the local hotel. The couple who run it are Bruno(Peter Madden) and his wife Anna(Vera Cook). Bruno is friendly, but Anna is very sullen. They go to their room and receive a letter from a local man called Dr. Ravna(Willman), who wants them to go to his house for dinner. They decide to go and they meet the man himself, along with his daughter Sabena(Jacquie Wallis) and his son, Carl(Barry Warren).
We see the body in the coffin from the beginning of the movie. It has come alive. It is a girl. She is a vampire. She is the daughter of the man who staked her. His name is Professor Zimmer(Evans) and she bites him. He runs home and he cauterises the wound before he gets infected. Gerald and Marianne wonder why Anna is so sad. They discover that she had a daughter. Sabena and Carl come to visit them at the hotel. They invite them to a party at Ravna's house. Zimmer sees this and he warns Marianne to be careful. At the party, something evil is afoot. Carl pretends to be Gerald and he leads Marianne upstairs. He locks her into a room. Ravner is in there. It is revealed that he is a bloodsucker and he bites her.
Sabena puts something into Gerald's drink and he passes out. The next morning, he looks for his wife, but they all deny that she was there. He is confused. They throw him out of the house. He doesn't know what is happening. Professor Zimmer finds him and helps him back to the hotel. Bruno pretends that he doesn't know who Marianne is. There is something weird going on. All of her clothes have gone. Gerald calls the local police, but they don't want to help him because of who Ravna is. Zimmer believes him and he wants to help. He tells him about his daughter and he knows that Ravna was the one who made her into a vampire. He tells Gerald that they will get Marianne back. Gerald breaks into Ravna's house and he finds Annas daughter there. She tricks him and he is caught. He talks to Ravna who tells him that Marianne is his now. He almost gets bitten, but he escapes.
Zimmer shows up and they grab Marianne. They realise that Ravna is going to try and get her back. He calls her and she wanders back to the house. Zimmer performs a ceremony to destroy Ravner and his cronies. He traps them in the house and he does his thing. Bats come from nowhere and they attack all of the vampires, killing them. Marianne is safe and she returns to normal. End of story. This was a fun film. Hammer movies usually are. There was a lot to like about it. The story wasn't that original really, but the cast were good . The ending with the bats attacking everyone was hilarious, I thought, but that didn't take away from the film. It is an early Hammer offering and you can see that it was certainly inspired by Horror of Dracula. All in all, a decent vampire film with a funny ending. I recommend it. I will give it a 6/10.
Blood Diner is a 1987 horror movie directed by Jackie Kong and starring Rick Burks and Carl Crew. The film begins with two kids who are left ancient Sumerian charms by their crazy uncle who is then shot by the cops. Cut to twenty years later and the two kids have grown up. They are Michael(Burks) and George(Crew). They dig up their dead uncle and they take his brain. They perform some sort of rite and they bring him back. His brain and his eyes are kept and he takes control from his jar! He tells the brothers that they need to bring an ancient goddess back to life. Her name is Sheetar and they need to harvest body parts from young women and attach them to make Sheetar appear. The two brothers own a diner so they use this as a front for their dastardly deeds.
Women begin to die. They end up in the diner and they end up being chopped up by the brothers. Michael meets a woman called Connie and he likes her. He hypnotises her and he gives her an amulet. The police are investigating the murders. Michael and George are piecing together their body for Sheetar. They are told that they need a blood buffet for her. The uncle directs them. They go searching for victims. They are looking for trashy ladies. They get a couple and dispose of them in their diner. The cops find an amulet and they take it to an expert. They find out about Sheetar and her cult. They find out that she will need a sacrificial virgin. Michael is working on that. He asks Connie to go out with him.
The cops are getting closer to the brothers. George attacks a girl, but she fights him.She dies anyway but her boyfriend is there. He talks to the cops. He tells them what happened. Connie's father is a policeman and he is on their case. He remembers their uncle and what happened with him. Micheal has Connie and he is going to use her as the sacrificial virgin. Everything gets crazier from here. Sheetar is brought back and she kills people. The cops know it was Michael and George and they want to arrest them. Unfortunately, the brothers have made some weird brew and they give it to people at a nightclub and it turns them into monsters. The cops are there, but they are surrounded by crazy people. They shoot Michael, but George gets eaten by Sheetar who has a massive appetite! The cops manage to get out of the place. The bodies are taken away but Sheetar is not among them. She is on the streets!!
What can I say about this film? It's weird and crazy! There are so many things happening and it just makes you laugh because it is pretty ridiculous. It is fun, though. You don't need to use your brain, just sit back and enjoy it. It is not a great film, but it is funny in parts and the craziness will keep you watching. I liked it and I would recommend it. Just don't expect too much! I will give it a 5/10.

One of the barrels falls out into the river. A kid called Jesse(Kenworthy) is being chased by kids and he ends up in a tunnel by the river. The kids discover the barrel and they open it. There is a creature inside. Jesse says he is going to call the army about it so the other two lock him inside a mausoleum. Gas from the barrel is released into the graveyard and the air. Three teens are there looking to loot graves. They go to the mausoleum and Jesse is freed. It begins to rain and the rain mixes with the gas. You can see where this is going.. Corpses start to rise.
Jesse goes home and his sister Lucy(Dielein) is there. She is in charge. She tells him to do his homework. A cable repairman called Tom(Ashbrook) arrives and Lucy gets distracted by him. Jesse sneaks out to see his friend Billy who opened the barrel earlier. Billy isn't looking so good. He is sick. The undead begin to surface and Jesse sees them and tarman. He tells his sister about the zombies. He wants to call the army to tell them what has happened. Lucy thinks that he has imagined it and she locks him into his room. He calls the army. The grave robbers meet the zombies and they have to fight them off. They go to Billy's house for help, but his dad warns them off with a shotgun. Jesse talks to a Colonel Glover(Jonathan Terry) but he gets cut off.
The grave robbers come to Lucy and Jesse's house and they tell them what has happened. One of them, Joey, feels ill. The zombies are getting into the house. Tom is attacked. Billy has turned into one of them. He kills his mother. Another of the grave robbers, Ed, is changing into one also. They try and drive to the hospital to get help. They have help from a local doctor. He looks at Joey and he says that something is badly wrong with him. Tom, Jesse and Lucy look around town. It is deserted. They drive to their granddad's house and get his guns. Ed and Joey are turning. They run into army guys, who are on the way after Jesse's call. Ed attacks them and they run away. Joey has turned and he eats his girlfriend, Brenda.
Tom, Jesse and Lucy come up with a plan. Tom gets hold of some animal brains and he makes a trail of them to lead the zombies to the power station. They have a plan to blow them all up. They turn off the power and the zombies arrive at the gates. Tom sets a trap for them. The zombies climb inside and the open the gate. They flood the place. Tom sends Jesse out to drive a truck that they are hiding in. Jesse crashes it into the power station. Billy is after Jesse. Tom and Lucy are stuck inside the truck as Jesse has to get away from him. Jesse manages to turn on the power. The zombies get electrocuted. Billy also gets fried. The army guys finally arrive and Tom and the others are safe.
This was an enjoyable film. It follows on nicely from the first one and I think it is a pretty good sequel. I liked seeing Dana Ashbrook in this. He did a good job. I thought that the story was fun and the ending was decent. All in all, this was an entertaining film and I would certainly recommend it, especially if you enjoyed the first film. I haven't finished watching these movies yet. I haven't seen the fourth film or the fifth so I hope to get around to them soon. This one gets a 5/10.
Night of the Big Heat a.k.a.Island of the Burning Damned is a 1967 sci-fi film directed by Terence Fisher and starring Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Patrick Allen, Sarah Lawson and Jane Merrow. The movie begins with a man called Godfrey Hanson(Lee), who is setting up cameras around the island of Fara. There is a weird noise all over the place. The temperature on the island is above every other place in Britain. There is a heatwave in the middle of winter. There is something odd happening. A woman called Angela Roberts(Merrow) comes to the island. She arrives at the local pub and she tells the owner, Frankie(Lawson) that she is going to be the new secretary to a writer called Jeff Callum(Allen). Jeff is the husband of Frankie. Hanson is staying in rooms above the pub. The locals wonder what he is doing up there as he won't let anyone inside. Angela meets Jeff and it is revealed that she is not his secretary. They had an affair and she has followed him to the island. Jeff is not happy that she has come.
There is interference on the phone line and there is no TV signal. A local man's TV explodes. Another man hears the noise and he crashes his car and dies. Jeff asks Hanson what is going on. Hanson tells him that it is aliens. He is a scientist and he has been studying the area. Jeff isn't sure. The heat is getting worse. Jeff and Hanson find the dead body. They figure out that the aliens need heat to survive and that is why they have been heating up the area. They need to get a message to the mainland. The local doctor, Doctor Stone(Cushing) wants to help. He offers to go to the met station and get to the radio. He drives along, but his car stops. He hears the noise and he sees something horrible before he gets killed.
Hanson decides that he will go. He finds Stone's dead body. He realises that the aliens are attracted to light. He tells the locals to turn out the lights. The creatures are at the met station. They have destroyed the radio. Hanson says that they were able to come to Earth using the met equipment. He, Jeff, Frankie and Angela look for explosives. Hanson wants to bring the creatures out into the open. They want the fire to draw them in and attract attention from the mainland. They try to blow up the creatures. Hanson gets attacked and dies. Everything looks bleak until it starts raining. The creatures are destroyed.
This film was enjoyable. The cast were great, of course. That is why I wanted to watch it in the first place. The story is good and it is fun. The ending was a little silly, I thought, but that doesn't take away from the film. The aliens look very primitive but it was 1967 so I can let that go. If you can find this film, I certainly recommend it as it boasts a great cast, including Kenneth Cope!! I will give this a 6/10.
