This House Possessed Movie Review

This House Possessed is a 1981 TV movie directed by William Wiard and starring Parker Stevenson and Lisa Eilbacher.

The film begins with a couple looking around the grounds of a house. Someone is watching them. They get sprayed with water. The TV is on inside the house. A singer is on it. His name is Gary Straihorn(Stevenson). He collapses from exhaustion and ends up in hospital. He has a nightmare. A nurse helps him. The TV in the house is showing what is happening to Gary. Gary asks the nurse, Sheila(Eilbacher) to come and stay with him as his private nurse. He decides to rent a house. They go and look at the creepy house from the beginning of the film. They look around. The house is unique. Gary loves it. He wants to buy the place. They move into it.

One night, Sheila is woken up. She hears a voice calling Margaret. She goes outside and Gary finds her. He starts to get headaches. Sheila goes into town to get his medication. A local woman calls her Margaret. The woman tells her that she shouldn't have come. Sheila finds a weird doll and hears music playing in the house. The voice calls Margaret once again. Gary and Sheila talk. He wants to know more about her, but she seems reluctant to open up. They share a kiss. Tania shoes up at the house. She is Gary's ex. Sheila isn't one bit happy about this. She goes into town and bumps into the local woman who calls her Margaret. They go to the library and the woman says that there was trouble in the house.
She is an old lady and she knows all about it.

Back at the house, Tania and Gary are close. Sheila is upset over it. The house isn't too happy either. Tania is in the shower when blood comes out of it. She gets stuck in the shower and she panics. After that, she leaves. Sheila is happy and she and Gary continue their relationship. She tells him that she can't remember the first seven years of her life. She was found wandering around and she was put in a foster home. The old lady from the library, who is called Lucille, calls her and says that she has information for her about the house. Sheila goes to her shack but there isn't anyone there. She leaves a note for the old lady.

Gary asks Sheila to marry him and she accepts. Gary's manager, Arthur, wants him to go back on tour. He agrees. He is going to take Sheila with him after they get married. Arthur ends up being killed by a mirror. Gary is bewildered. He and Sheila investigate the house and they find out that there were two owners before Gary. Sheila tells him about the voices that she heard. His headaches get much worse.  The old lady shows up and she says that she was Shelia's nurse for the first seven years of her life.  She tells her that the house killed her parents. It didn't want Sheila to leave. The house kills the old lady. Sheila tells Gary that they need to go. The house shuts itself up and the phone is dead. The cold air comes on and it suddenly stops. Hot air takes it place. The house starts collapsing. Gary wants to set fire to the house so they can escape. They do manage to escape but the house isn't done with them. The house tries to get Gary but Sheila pleads with it to let them go. It does so.

This is an okay film. It has Parker Stevenson in it, which was interesting. The story itself is not bad and this is really more of a thriller than a horror movie. There isn't much blood or violence really. It is quite tame. It is a TV movie, so you don't expect anything too scary. I will say that it is a mystery and that it kept me watching until the end. I did enjoy it and I will recommend it. I will give it a 5/10.

Stag Night is a 2008 horror movie starring Kip Pardue,Breckin Meyer and Scott Adkins. It is directed by Peter A. Dowling.

The movie begins with a young woman in a subway station. She is scared and she is being chased by something. She tries to escape but it drags her back down into the darkness..Cut to a guy called Mike(Pardue) and his three pals who are on a stag night as Mike is getting married soon. They are on the subway and they meet two girls called Claire(Rachel Oliva) and Michele(Sarah Barrand) and they all get out of the train. It leaves without them and they are stuck in the subway station. They decide that they have to walk along the tunnel  or else they will be stranded all night. Suddenly, they see some weirdo kid running around the place. They see a cop being killed by some weird creatures in the subway and they know that they are in huge danger.

They try and make their way out of the tunnel, but the creatures see them and chase them. They hide but they are picked off one by one. It turns out that the creatures are called tunnel rats and they are in charge of their patch. They kill anyone who wanders into their territory. The rest of the movie is taken up with the group trying to escape, but they are not so lucky. They manage to kill a couple of the tunnel rats. They look like they are going to get away but the tunnel rats are clever and they know every inch of the tunnels..The movie ends with everyone dead and there are no survivors. The tunnel rats survive to live another day..

This movie was average. It was obvious what was going to happen and there weren't many surprises, but it is worth a watch if you like by- the- numbers horror. This gets  a 4/10.

Gargoyles Movie Review

Trailer here.

Gargoyles is a 1972 TV horror movie directed by Bill Norton and starring Cornel Wilde and Jennifer Salt. Scott Glenn also makes an appearance.

Dr. Mercer Boley(Wilde) and his daughter Diana(Salt) are in New Mexico. He is writing a book about demons. They go to visit a man who says that he has an unusual skeleton. His name is Uncle Willie(Woody Chambliss) and he has a desert museum. He shows the doctor his skeleton. Dr. Boley thinks that it is not real. Willie tells him that the place is called Devil's Crossing. He says that the Native Americans used to talk about it. Dr. Boley becomes more interested. Willie talks about a Native American ritual. He gets nervous as the day gets later. Something is outside and it tries to get in. Uncle Willie's museum is set on fire and Willie dies. Boley takes the skeleton's head and leaves. The place is totally destroyed. He and Diana drive off but something jumps on the car. It tries to get at them. They pull into a gas station and there is a motel next door. They go there. Mrs. Parks is the owner and they get a place to stay. A group of bikers, led by James Reeger(Glenn) look around the remains of Uncle Willie's place. The cops find them there and think that they burned the place down. They are arrested. Dr. Boley tries to tell them that the bikers didn't do it, but the cops don't listen.

During the night, Dr. Boley hears noises outside their room. There are gargoyles out there. They are looking for the skeleton head. One of them gets hit by a truck and it dies. Boley brings it into the motel room. Diana goes to the police and she says the the bikers are innocent. She tells Reeger about the gargoyles. He thinks that she is crazy. The gargoyles reappear, looking for their dead pal. Boley and Diana put it into their car. The gargoyles take Diana and they turn the car over. The big daddy gargoyle shows up and he looks at Diana. His minions take the dead gargoyle with them. Diana is brought to their lair. Dr. Boley tells the police about the gargoyles. They think that he is crazy. The biker gang don't and they offer their help to find Diana. They all go to search for her.

Diana is in a cave with the gargoyle gang. She looks around the place. The head gargoyle has her fathers books and he wants her to teach him about what is in them. He can talk too!! The search party comb the area for Diana. The lead gargoyle tells Diana that humans have nothing to fear from them. There are gargoyle eggs in their cave. They are beginning to hatch. The gargoyles are aware that the search party is coming. They emerge from their cave and there is a battle. Some of them get shot. The head gargoyle takes Dr.Boley into his cave and tells him that they are going to destroy humans. Reeger sees the eggs, He douses them with gasoline and sets them on fire. Diana and her father are led to freedom by the female gargoyle. Dr. Boley damages the queens wings so that she can't leave. The lead gargoyle takes her off in his arms and they fly away to start breeding somewhere else.

This film was entertaining in its own way. The cast weren't too bad. The gargoyles were a bit silly but the lead one was decent. It was pretty good for a TV movie. It is obvious that this film is cheap, but it is actually enjoyable. I would certainly recommend it for some fun. I will give it a 5/10.

The Widow Movie Review

Trailer here.

The Widow is a 2020 horror film directed by Ivan Minin and starring Viktotiya Potemina and Anastasiya Gribova.

The movie begins in a wood near St. Petersburg. People have been going missing in the area and the bodies that are found are naked. Kristina(Gribova) is shooting a documentary about a search and rescue team who are training a new recruit, Vika(Potemina). The locals think that there is a witch in the woods. They call her the Limping Widow.  The rescue team have a dog with them also. They find a strange woman in the woods. She is called Zoya. They have been looking for a young boy who went missing in the woods. They take Zoya to their van and keep her warm. She seems very unusual. They pull something out her mouth. The group sees a carving on one of the trees. It is an evil spirit symbol. The group decide to drive out of the woods, but they are stopped, first by falling trees and then by getting stuck in the mud.

Zoya tells them that they won't get out of the forest alive. She tells them a story about a woman who choked her husband. She was caught by locals and they broke her legs. They threw her into a pit and she died. Her spirit is in the woods and she gets revenge by killing anyone who comes there. The dog runs off into the woods and he comes back different. He is snarling and angry. The driver, Andrey, changes. His eyes become black and he seems possessed. He drives the truck with Zoya and Vika in the back. He is going crazy. Vika jumps out before the van is driven into a lake and disappears. Vika sees Andrey coming out of the water. He wanders off into the woods. She follows him to a creepy old shack in the woods and he is turned against the wall. She  calls him but he doesn't reply. The others look for her.
They have found Andrey's body. They also find crazy Zoya. The group ask her questions, but she doesns't say anything.  They head off looking for Vika.

Vika tells all of them what happened to her. Kristina thinks that Zoya is evil. She disappears. Vika tries to find her and she does. Zoya wants to die. She makes Vika kill her. The others show up and see the lady dead. They think that Vika did it. She tells them that Zoya wanted to die and she forced Vika's hand. They wander around some more and an unseen force impales one of the team. The others find clothes hanging from trees. The witch comes and she kills more of the team until Kristina and Vika are the only two left. Vika disappears and Kristina is left alone. She walks around and tries to get out. She finds Vika in the old shack. She is naked and she has become like Zoya. She will stay in the forest to protect others from the witch. Kristina is taken away by ambulance. The movie ends.

This film had some creepy moments. There were just not enough of them. I liked some scenes and this films owes an awful lot to The Blair Witch Project. It is very similar is some ways. The problem is that it is nowhere near as good as that film. It looked promising at the beginning and it went along well, but half way through, it started to drag and the ending didn't have anything exciting to wrap it up, I didn't like the ending. This is a middle of the road Russian horror movie. It is worth a look for some creepy scenes, but don't expect too much. I will give it a 5/10.

Alison's Birthday Movie Review

Trailer here.

Alison's Birthday is a 1981 Australian horror movie directed by Ian Coughlan and starring Joanne Campbell, Lou Brown, John Bluthal and Vincent Ball.

The movie begins with a 16 year old girl called Alison(Campbell) who is having fun calling on spirits with her pals. She has a glass on the table surrounded by letters. The glass moves when a spirit makes contact, It spells out her name and it has a message. It tells her not to go to home for her 19th birthday.
The glass shatters. The spirit tells her that there is terrible danger coming. One of her friends gets killed when a bookcase falls on top of her. Cut to 3 years later. Alison is almost 19. She has a boyfriend called Pete(Brown), who is a DJ. Alison gets a call from her Aunt Jenny(Bunney Brooke). She asks her to come home for her 19th birthday. Aunt Jenny says that Uncle Dean(Bluthal) is not well. Alison says that she will come. Alison remembers the sinister warning from years ago. Pete says he will come with her.

They arrive and meet the aunt and uncle. Alison has a pendant that Uncle Dean gave her when she was a baby. Pete goes to stay with his dad and he leaves Alison with her relatives. Her aunt warns her not to wander beyond the stone wall in the garden. Alison is curious. She looks around and she sees a rock formation there. She gets a creepy feeling and she goes back. She tells her uncle about it. There is an old lady in the house. Alison finds out that she called Grandmother Thorn. She is Alison's great grandmother. She came from England. There will be a party for Alison's birthday and she asks Pete to come. Uncle Dean has a word with Pete. He doesn't want him at the party. He tells him to stay away from Alison. Alison is having nightmares about the stones in the garden. She
sees some sort of cult and they are calling for Mirna. Alison sees herself there. Alison becomes unwell after this.

Pete calls to see her, but he isn't allowed to. A doctor appears and tells them that Alison needs to stay in bed. Pete is wondering what is going on. Dean will not let him near her. He says that her party is cancelled. Pete wants to get in touch with the doctor, but he can't be found. Pete goes to the house under the cover of night and looks for Alison. He sees the old lady and he tells Alison they need to leave. They get caught trying to go. The doctor gives Alison an injection and she goes back to bed. The doctor hypnotises her. Dean calls the police and Alison tells them that he threatened her. He gets taken away.
Pete is confused. He is being watched also. Pete visits a friend of his and they find out that Alison was taken from hospital when she was a baby. Her parents died in a car crash. The doctor finds out that Pete has been snooping so she sends some thugs to get him. He manages to escape.

Pete finds out that there is a cult and that they use a different girl every 80 years. Mirna is an evil spirit and she lives in Grandmother Thorn. Aunt Jenny and Uncle Dean and the doctor are all part of this cult and they want Mirna to take Alison's body so she can live for longer. Pete tries to save Alison from her fate, but he can't. Mirna goes into Alison and she shoots Pete dead. The police come and everything is sorted. The movie ends with Alison waking up and realising what has happened to her.
She is horrified.

This is a decent horror film. It has some creepy moments. There aren't many real scares in this. There is little to no gore also. It is more of a thriller really, apart from the supernatural angle. The cast are pretty good and this does have a low budget feel to it. It could be a TV movie. I did expect it to be scarier but there is lots to enjoy here if you prefer something a bit tamer. All in all, this is definitely worth a look but don't expect too much. I will give it a 5/10.

The Babadook Movie Review

Trailer here.

The Babadook is a 2014 horror movie directed by Jennifer Kent and starring Essie Davis and Hayley McElhinney.

The film begins with a child called Sammy who lives with his mother Amelia(Davis). Sammy is having some problems. He has bad dreams and behavioural problems. The school aren't happy with him. Amelia's husband, Oskar died in a car crash on the way to hospital while she was in labour.  A book turns up in the house. It is called Mister Babdook and it is about a creature who is creepy and evil. Sammy is spooked by it and Amelia hides it. Amelia has a co worker called Robbie who is nice to her and he calls around to see her. Sammy's behaviour is getting worse. Amelia finds a picture of her and Oskar defaced. Sammy tells her that it is the Babadook doing things. Amelia destroys the book and throws it out.

She hears noises during the night. Sammy is scaring the other kids at school. Amelia is at her wits end and she takes him to the doctor. The doctor gives her sedatives to give to Sammy. Next day, the book appears at the door. She receives a phone call from the creature. She goes to the police about it. They don't believe what she is saying. There are cockroaches coming from a hole in the wall at home. Community services come to see what is going on in the house. They talk to Sammy. Amelia sees the Babadook in her neighbours house. She sees it in her house at night time. She shouts at her son as she is getting very worried about what is going on.

Amelia seems to be changing. She is cross with her son and she has a vision of him dead. She has visions of her husband and the Babadook. She goes crazy and Sammy is afraid of her. She tries to kill him but she doesn't and she vomits up something. The Babadook emerges from her. It takes Samuel. The house starts to shake. Amelia asks it what it wants. She sees her husband. She shouts at the Babadook and she says that she will kill it if it touches her son. It seems to collapse and flies off into the basement. She locks it in there. Things are back to normal at the end of the film as she goes down to the basement with a bowl of soil and worms. The creature is down there and she tells it that it's okay. The creature takes the bowl as Amelia goes to her son to celebrate his birthday. They are all happy again.

This film was bad. I didn't like it. It felt like more of a drama than a horror movie. It didn't interest me really but I did keep watching until the end. I didn't like the story and the kid was beyond annoying to me. I didn't find it scary or creepy at all. I found it dull and boring. The ending was silly and there wasn't anything great about it. I had read reviews of this and I expected something amazing. I don't know what those people saw, but I didn't see it at all. Avoid. I give it a 2/10.

Corruption Movie Review

Trailer here

Corruption is a 1968 horror/ thriller directed by Robert Hartford-Davis and starring Peter Cushing, Kate O' Mara and Sue Lloyd.

The movie begins with a man called John Rowan(Cushing), a plastic surgeon who has a girlfriend called Lynn(Lloyd). She happens to be a model and she is quite a bit younger than he is. They are at a party when a photographer called Michael starts taking pictures of Lynn. He gets a bit suggestive with her and John isn't happy. A fight ensues and a hot light falls onto Lynn's face, burning her. She ends up in hospital. She is very depressed about what has happened to her. Her sister, Val(O'Mara) comes to stay with her and John. John tries to come up with a way to restore her face. He finds a way but it includes using a laser and human glands. Val helps him. John manages to perform surgery on Lynne and it is successful. Her face goes back to normal.

Unfortunately, the surgery doesn't last and Lynne's face goes back to being scarred. Lynne goes crazy. She wants John to do it again. He visits a prostitute and he kills her and takes the parts he needs for another surgery. It works again and Lynne wants to go back to work as a model. Michael tells her that she can't do it. John sees a piece about the murder in the paper. He decides to take Lynne on holiday. They
drive to a house in the country. Her face is starting to deteriorate. Lynne demands that he kill another woman and get what she needs for another operation. Lynne spots a girl on the beach. She is called Terry. Lynne tells John that she would be perfect as a victim.

Terry comes to their house and they invite her to stay. Terry thinks that they are a little odd. John doesn't want to kill her, but Lynne insists. Terry has a boyfriend called Rick and she lets him into the house.
Terry tells him about the couple and she wants to leave. Rick convinces her to stay and get some money out of them. Next morning, Terry has gone. John is on the train when he spots another young woman. He attacks and kills her and gets what he wants for Lynne. Terry ends up returning to the house and this time, she gets killed. John decides that he can't kill anymore. Lynne says that she will call the police and tell them that he has gone mad but John is past caring.

Just then, a gang turn up at the house. They are friends of Terry's. They are looking for her and it isn't long before they figure out that something happened to her. They look for valuables and they mess with the couple. They realise that Terry is dead and they get angry, John tells them that she is. Lynne manages to throw one of the gang off of a cliff. Lynne goes completely crazy and John's laser manages to activate and kill everyone, including John and Lynne. The movie ends at the party from the beginning. It seems that all of it was only a dream....

I really enjoyed this one. It was a fun film and Cushing did well here.  The story is similar to the earlier film, Eyes Without A  Face. This one had a gang, swinging sixties music and Peter Cushing! Now, I did really like this, but the ending had me wondering what the hell. The film should have ended with everyone dead. It was a fitting end for all concerned but someone decided that it would be better to have it as a dream and that made no sense at all. Despite the silly ending, this is worth your while and I think that it will entertain you as it did me. I will give it a 7/10.

The Pack Movie Review

Trailer :here

The Pack is a 2015 Australian horror film directed by Nick Robertson and starring Jack Campbell and Anna Lise Phillips.

The film begins with a farmer going to check on his flock of sheep. He gets killed by wild dogs. His wife is also killed. They are roaming around the countryside in a pack. Meanwhile, a family are in financial trouble. The mother, Carla Wilson(Phillips) is a vet and her husband Adam(Campbell) is a farmer. They have a son, Henry and a daughter, Sophie. The bank manager pays them a visit telling them that they will have to vacate their farm. Adam refuses to sell. The bank manager goes off, but he pulls over at the side of the road to pee and he end up meeting the gang of vicious mutts who tear him apart. I don't think he will be missed.

The family lose power and Adam goes to turn on the generator. His dog runs off. He looks for it. There are eyes watching him. Is it the pack of dogs looking for another snack? Of course it is! Adam realises that the canine gang are out there and he runs back to his house with the dogs on his tail. Carla calls the police. The dogs begin to batter on the front door. They are determined to get at the family. Adam shoots one through the door with his rifle. He opens to door to see if he hit one, when he gets attacked. Carla whacks one as a police car comes. The cop looks around and guess what? He ends up being the dog's next meal. Adam decides to make a run for his truck. He says that he will come back and get the rest of the family. He makes it as far as the truck and he drives up to the house. He tells them to get it, but he gets attacked and crashes the truck before they can go.

Henry and Sophia hide in a closet in the house as Carla protects them. She looks for any dogs. One comes into the house. Carla traps it in a room. Adam comes to in the truck. He gets out and he makes his way to Carla's office. Carla is inside the house and she goes to the basement. There is another dog in there. Henry and Sophia get attacked. Carla saves them, Adam sees a dog eating the animals in Carla's vet clinic. He hides and waits for his chance to get it. It attacks him but he manages to put it down. He  is in bits by this stage. He reunites with his family and they decide to go up onto the roof. They run but Carla falls over. She runs back to the house. Henry and Sophie go up onto the roof. Carla distracts the dogs with fire. Adam shoots another one. Carla gets attacked and she faces off with one of the deadly dogs. Adam manages to get a shot and he kills it. The rest of them flee into the woods while their own dog returns. The family seem safe. In a cave in the woods, a dog's eyes peer out of the darkness....

This was a good film, I thought. I liked the idea of the deadly dogs. It was simple, but it worked well.
The cast were pretty good and the film had lots of good scenes with the vicious dogs. There isn't much here that you haven't seen in other creature features, but I enjoyed this one and I certainly recommend it. It is above average so I will give it a 6/10.

Hellfest Movie Review

Trailer here.

Hellfest is a 2018 horror movie directed by Gregory Plotkin and starring Amy Forsyth, Reign Edwards and Tony Todd.

The movie begins with a girl who gets separated from her pals in a Halloween haunted house. A figure approaches her and kills her. Cut to a group of friends who are attending a Halloween event called Hellfest. They are Natalie(Forsyth), Brooke(Edwards), Taylor(Bex Taylor-Klaus), Quinn(Christian James), Asher(Matt Mercurio) and Gavin(Roby Attal). They talk about a girl who got murdered at Hellfest. A strange man enters Hellfest also. He puts on a mask to hide his face. I wonder why?? He bumps into a bitchy girl who annoys him. He grabs a knife and follows her. The friends wander through the different areas. They meet the bitchy girl, who informs them that she is being chased. They think that it is part of the show and ignore it. The guy kills the girl in front of Natalie. She realises that it is not part of the show and she runs off to tell the others. The killer has his eye on her as his next victim. He begins to follow her.

The others are not so sure that it was real. They are in the party mood, so they think that everything at Hellfest is part of the show until Brooke sees the killer stealing Natalie's photos out of the machine where she was with Gavin. Why would he do that? Let's investigate. Brook seeks him out. She doesn't find him. Gavin is wandering off alone also and he wants to get a cuddly toy for Natalie. He ends up meeting the killer who kills him with a mallet. The killer takes Gavin's phone and he sends a text message to Natalie and finds out where they are. Natalie realises that the killer is not alone with his mask. There are loads of employees of Hellfest wearing the same one. It makes things a lot worse for her. As they progress through the place, it gets scarier and more extreme. They get freaked out by the different experiences. The killer is shadowing them. Natalie catches sight of him once again and knows that he is coming.

The killer manages to kill Asher before trying to kill Natalie. She goes to the security guys to tell them, but they don't take it seriously at all. Taylor disappears and the others look for her. She ends up on stage with The Barker(Todd) who is going to execute her with a guillotine(not for real). The others watch as she seems to get killed. The killer is behind the stage and he tries to do it for real, but it doesn't work.
The world's most annoying character eventually gets herself stabbed and dies. She was irritating beyond belief, so it's no loss. Quinn also gets it.  Brooke and Natalie are the only ones not dead at this point, so they run and hide from the killer. There are lots of cat and mouse chases and the movie comes to an end with the two girls surviving his reign of terror. The police come and they are safe. The killer goes home and we see that he is just an ordinary joe who happens to have a daughter.

This was an entertaining slasher movie. I liked the setting of Hellfest and there were some creepy bits. There is nothing that we haven't seen before, but I thought that this was just fun. There is no need to think about it and you know what you are getting. I will say that the group of friends were pretty annoying, especially that Taylor girl and this does prevent you from really caring if they die or not. I certainly didn't care. Anyway, this is an enjoyable slasher movie and I am going to give it a 6/10 because I liked the setting and some of the scenes.

The Rental Movie Review

Trailer here

The Rental is a 2020 horror/thriller movie directed by Dave Franco and starring Dan Stevens, Alison Brie, Sheila Vand, Jeremy Allen White and Toby Huss.

The movie begins with two couples- Michelle(Brie) and Charlie(Stevens) and Josh(White) and Mina(Vand). They have rented a house for the weekend. They drive up there and they meet the landlord's brother, Taylor(Huss). Taylor seems a little odd. They think he is racist or something. Taylor drops off a telescope. Mina has a problem with him and she doesn't like him. They all have a party and Michelle goes to bed and Josh passes out while Mina and Charlie have sex in the shower. Someone is watching them cheat on their partners. Mina discovers a hidden camera in the shower. She realises that someone saw what they did. Charlie says that they can't call the cops or Josh and Michelle will find out what they have done. They can't find their dog. Josh thinks that Taylor did something to it. Taylor arrives to fix the hot tub. Josh accuses him of taking the dog. Mina tells him that she knows what is doing. He doesn't know what they are talking about. He wants to call the police. Mina tries to stop him. Josh beats him up and knocks him out. Someone is filming this. That person finishes Taylor off.

The group find Taylor dead. They decide what to do. They search the place for cameras. They take the body away. Michelle hears the shower turning off and on. Josh pushes Taylor's body into the sea. Michelle sees the video of Mina and Charlie in the shower. They are being filmed by the unknown killer. Michelle is angry and hurt and she decides to leave. She confronts Charlie and then she drives off. She ends up hitting a tree and she finds a trap that has burst her tyres. Someone comes. Charlie looks for her and he sees a message that she has sent. He finds her dead. He gets hit by someone. Josh tries to break down a locked door in the house. He finds a secret room with cameras and stuff. He gets a text from Charlie's phone with footage of Charlie and Mina talking about what they did. Then he sees the video of them in the shower. He gets attacked by the killer, who has also killed Charlie. Josh dies. The killer chases Mina and she falls off a cliff. The movie ends with the man clearing up all of his stuff from the house. He removes his cameras. The dog comes back to the house showing that it was fine all along. The killer sets up his cameras in another house, suggesting that the killings will start again. He spies on a couple and attacks them while they are asleep.

This film was not very good. I don't know what Franco was trying to do here. It is not a horror movie really. It is more of a thriller with drama thrown in. I found that there were little to no scares and that the movie wasn't very interesting overall. I didn't care for the cast very much and I didn't really care if they died or not. The Mina character was annoying and I was glad when she fell off the cliff. Whatever this movie was trying to do, I think that it failed. It was all over the place and it should have stayed either a drama or a thriller. I found some of it tedious and when something did happen, I just didn't care anymore. If you like thrillers with some drama , then this might be for you. I didn't like it. It wasn't for me. There just wasn't enough in it to keep me interested. The cast weren't particularly great either, in my opinion. This gets a 3/10.

The Evil is a 1978 horror movie directed by Gus Trikonis and starring Richard Crenna, Joanna Pettet, Andrew Prine, Cassie Yates and Victor Buono.

This was a decent film. There weren't too many scares in it, but I still enjoyed it. It had the feel of a TV movie about it. I liked the idea of the creepy house but I did feel that the ending with the Devil in it was a little silly. Richard Crenna did well in the lead role. Some of the other actors weren't the best, but that is often the case in horror movies so I will let that slide. So, overall this was a fun horror movie that isn't very scary, but has some good scenes in it. It kept me watching but I did feel that the ending let it down. It is worth a look if you like supernatural horror. I will give it a 5/10.
