The Beast Must Die Movie Review

The Beast Must Die is a 1974 horror movie directed by Paul Annett and starring Peter Cushing, Michael Gambon, Calvin Lockhart, Charles Gray and Anton Diffring.

A  man is being chases by a helicopter. There are cameras everywhere. He is caught and he is shot. A group of people see it. It is not real. It is just a trick. The man is called Tom(Lockhart) and hie a millionaire. He has microphones and cameras installed in his house and the grounds. A man called Pavel(Diffring) installed them. Tom talks to the group of people. He has invited them to his house for a reason. They are all suspected of doing things that are bad. They are Arthur(Gray) who is a diplomat, Paul Foote(Tom Chadbon) who is just out of prison,  Professor Lundgren(Cushing) who is a werewolf expert and Jan Gilmore(Gambon) who is a pianist and his wife Davina(Ciaran Madden). Tom has his wife Caroline(Marlene Clark) with him also. Tom tells them that one of them is a werewolf and he wants to find out who it is.

Lundgren talks about werewolves and he explains how a werewolf comes into being. Jan hands around a silver candlestick to smoke out the werewolf. Lundgren says that there needs to be wolfs bane growing in the area. Tom has it in his greenhouse. Someone tries to kill him. That night, it is a full moon. Tom brings in his wolfs bane and he and Pavel wait to see what will happen. They see something on the camera. Tom goes after it. It goes inside the house and Tom comes back in and finds Pavel dead. He has been killed by the werewolf. Tom looks around for his suspect, Paul, but he is asleep. Davina decides she wants to leave with Jan. Tom disables their car and all of the cars. He cuts off the telephones. He is acting crazy. Tom is obsessed with finding the werewolf. Paul goes missing. Tom gets into his helicopter and goes looking for him. He sees the werewolf. It fights with the dog and it kills the pilot. Tom shoots at it. He is sure that it is Paul.

Tom hands everyone a silver bullet to put into their mouths. It turns out that his wife Caroline, has been turned into a werewolf.. She was infected by the dog who was also bitten. Paul gets killed. The mystery hasn't been solved. Who is the werewolf??? Tom is stalking it. He sees it and follows it. He has one silver bullet left in his gun. There is a fight and Tom manages to kill it. It turns out that the werewolf was....Jan! There is a little snag, though. Tom has been infected!!! The film ends with Tom shooting himself as he does not want to be a werewolf.

This was a very entertaining film. I enjoyed the mystery and trying to work out who the werewolf was. The cast were great and the premise was interesting to me. This is a fun horror movie from Amicus who are better known for their anthologies. Cushing does his job well and I liked Lockhart in his role as Tom. All in all, this is a good horror movie and a mystery also. I would certainly recommend it. I will give it a 7/10.

Searching Movie Review

Searching is a 2018 thriller directed by Aneesh Chaganty and starring John Cho and Debra Messing.

The film begins with a man called David(Cho) who is a widower. His wife died of cancer a few years ago. He has a teenage daughter called Margot. She doesn't spend much time with him since her mother died. They have drifted apart. David is on his computer looking at videos and pictures of his wife and daughter. Margot tells him that she going out to a friend's house for a study group. She calls him late that night, but he is asleep and he doesn't hear the call. The next day, he calls her back, but it goes straight to voicemail. He messages her but gets no reply either. He calls her piano teacher to see if she is there, but he is told that Margot cancelled her lessons months ago. David tries to log into her social media accounts. He realises that he doesn't know any of her friends.

David tries to find her friends numbers and he speaks to the mother of one of them. She says that Margot was supposed to go on a camping trip  with her son and that she is probably with him. It turns out that Margot didn't show up. David calls the police. He is called by a detective called Rosemary Vick. David logs into Margot's Facebook and he calls all of the friends he finds there. He discovers that a lot of them didn't really know her. She was a bit of a loner. He talks to the girl who was holding the study group and she says that Margot was at the study group until 9 o'clock. The police have CCTV footage and they see Margot in her car. She was driving away on a road out of town. She was saving the money that she was supposed to be spending on her piano classes. She took out $2,500.
David finds a friend of hers called Derek. He is a bad guy. He tells David that he was at a concert the night Margot disappeared. Rosemary discovers a fake driving licence with a different name on it.
She thinks that maybe Margot ran away.

David sees videos that Margot made. She was talking to some person called fish n chips. The person says that they are a waitress. David finds a picture of a lake where Margot used to go. He finds out that she travelled there. Her car is found by the lake. Margot isn't there. There is blood inside it.
The money is discovered inside the car. The case is on the news and  everyone seems to want to be a part of it. Derek gets beaten up by David when he puts up stuff on his Facebook page about Margot.
Rosemary tells David that he can't be a part of the investigation any longer. David suspects his brother but he is wrong. Rosemary tells David that she has found the guy responsible. The guy kills himself so that seems to be the end of that. David sees a familiar face on a funeral website. It belongs to fish n chips, the person that Margot was chatting with. It turns out that the picture belongs to a model and not the person.

David realises that something is not making sense. He finds out that Rosemary volunteered the take the case. She knew the suspect who confessed. She is dodgy. David goes to a memorial for Margot and she is there. He brings the cops with him and she is arrested. She confesses that she tried to cover up the crime because of her son. She says that he killed Margot by pushing her into a ravine and that he was fish n chips. He liked Margot and he pretended to be someone else. Margot withdrew the money to give to fish n chips because  he said that his mother was sick. He followed Margot to the lake and she got freaked out. He pushed her and she fell..Rosemary told him that she would take care of it. She manufactured information and she used a convict to confess. She takes the heat for her son. It looks bad for Margot as they go and search for her. It turns out that there was a storm and there would be enough water for her to live on for a few days. She is alive. She survives her ordeal.

I really enjoyed this film. It is unusual as we see everything from the point of view of cameras, smart phones and computers. I liked the story and I thought that the cast were good. I thought that this was a story about abduction at first, then a murder story, but it turned out to be a different story. The only thing that I would complain about is the happy ending. It seemed unbelievable that she would have survived all of that. It just seemed too neat. I would have preferred a more realistic ending. Other than that, there is nothing bad about this. I found it enjoyable and I definitely recommend it. I will give it a 7/10.

Cold Prey Movie Review

Cold Prey is a 2006 Norwegian horror movie, directed by Roar Uthaug and starring Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Rolf Kristian Larsen and Viktoria Winge.

A kid is being chased through the snow. He has a large birthmark on his face. He falls over and the person who is chasing him buries him in the snow. Cut to a group of snowboarders who have come to the mountains for a holiday. They are Jannicke(Berdal), her boyfriend, Erik, Morten(Larsen), Mikal and his friend Ingunn(Winge). Morten ends up breaking his leg and they have to find shelter. They find an old ski lodge and they have no choice but to go inside for shelter. Jannicke looks at Morten's leg, She tries to fix it. They decide to stay the night. They all have a look around the place. They get some lights working. They discover blood all over the bathroom. There is something weird about the place.

Ingunn gets attacked. The killer has a pick axe. Erik is going to go to get help. He gets attacked also.
Jannicke and Mikal find a door. They discover lots of clothes and a workshop. There are newspaper clippings about missing people and the ski lodge, which was a hotel. Jannicke finds blood when she goes to look for Ingunn. She knows that something bad has happened. Mikal is upset. They realise that there is a killer around there. Mikal wants to find Ingunn and he looks for her. The killer spots him and chases him. Mikal tells the others that there is some guy out there. The killer is after them.
Mikal wants to leave Morten and go for help. He runs off and he gets his leg caught in a trap. The killer arrives and finishes him off. Jannicke and Morten have to leave him and run. Jannicke leaves Morten and she makes a run for it alone. She finds a shotgun. She turns out the lights and goes into the killers workshop. Erik is there and he is still alive.

The killer sees Morten. Jannicke decides that they need to lure the killer out and shoot him with the gun. The killer arrives, but he kills Erik in front of them. Morten tells her to go and leave him behind as he can't go far. He faces the killer himself and of course, he gets killed. Jannicke gets caught by the killer. She wakes up and she finds herself with the dead bodies on a cart. He is pulling them along. He dumps the bodies into a ravine. She grabs Morten's pocket knife and stabs the killer in the neck. There is a fight. She grabs his pick axe. She pulls off his mask and it is revealed that he is the boy from the beginning of the film. She stabs him and pushes him into the ravine. It is revealed that the boys parents left him to die in the snow. The movie ends with Jannicke alive and exhausted.

This is a decent slasher film. I enjoyed it. It is well made and there is lots of tension throughout.
I liked the cast and I liked the story. The eerie ski lodge was a good setting for this and the killer looks quite creepy. I had not really heard of this but it was recommended to me and I found it entertaining and fun. It does have subtitles so be warned if you don't like them. All in all, this is a good slasher film with lots of action and a good ending. I recommend it and I give it a 6/10.

Terrifier Movie Review

Terrifier is a 2017 horror movie directed by Damien Leone and starring David Howard Thornton, Jenna Kanell and Samantha Scaffidi.

The movie begins with a woman who is on a TV show. She says that she was survivor of a massacre. She is disfigured. Art the clown is the one who is the killer but everyone thinks that he is dead. The show host gets attacked by the woman. The movie cuts to a story about two girls, Tara(Kanell) and Dawn(Catherine Corcoran)`who have been at a Halloween party. They see a weird clown on the street. He disappears and they go into a diner for something to eat. He suddenly appears again and one of the girls, Tara, feels really creeped out by him. Her pal Dawn, is drunk and she thinks that he is funny looking as he is dressed in a black and white clown outfit. She wants a selfie with him. He doesn't like that. He has a big bag with him. The owner throws him out when he sees that the clown has defaced the bathroom. The girls leave, thinking that they won't see him again. Art comes back to the restaurant and he kills the owner.

Tara needs to use the bathroom so she approaches a guy who is working in a building and asks him if she can. He lets her inside. Dawn is left with their car, which is not working. They have called her sister to come and collect them. Dawn hears about murders on the radio. There is a homicidal clown running around. She realises that they saw him earlier. Art sits into the car with her.  Meanwhile, Tara is on her way back from the bathroom when she meets a weird lady. She has a doll with her. The clown appears. He chases her. He manages to stab her in the leg but she takes his scalpel and she injures him. Tara looks for a way out of the building which is large. The whole place is locked up. Art catches up with her and he injects her. She wakes up tied to a chair. Art is there and so is her friend, Dawn. She is hanging upside down. Art grabs a hacksaw and he cuts her in half in front of Tara.
She manages to escape and hits him with a plank of wood.

They struggle and he shoots her. Tara's sister, Victoria(Scaffidi) comes to collect them. She looks into their car and she sees nobody. She calls Tara. Art sees that someone is calling and he sends her a text message, telling her to come around the back way. He kills Tara. The weird lady sees what he is doing and she runs off. She talks to the guy who let Tara in. His name is Mike and he is there killing bugs. She tells him to call the cops. He thinks that she is a crazy person and he doesn't take notice of her. He gets hit on the head by Art. Victoria comes into the building looking for the girls. The crazy lady can't find her doll. Art has it. She pleads with him to give it back.

Victoria finds Dawn dead and she runs. She also hears screams and goes to see what is happening.
Art has killed the crazy lady. Art sees Victoria and he chases her. He tries to suffocate her but she stabs him in the foot. Mike is still alive after being hit. Victoria finds Tara dead. Art tries to attack her again, but Mike hits him. He takes Victoria off and finds a phone. He calls the police but he gets killed by Art. Victoria runs off, followed by the clown. She hears sirens. Art drives a truck into Victoria and while she is down, he eats her face! He seems to kill himself when the cops show up at the scene. Cut to the coroner who has the bodies. Art isn't dead, of course! One year later and Victoria is released from hospital. It is revealed that she was the survivor from the beginning of the film.

So, this was a fun film overall. There was plenty of gore and there were lots of cat and mouse chase scenes thrown in. Art is pretty terrifying, hence the title. I don't like clowns and this didn't do much to change that!!! It was enjoyable and there were some moments that were creepy. Art the clown is a good villain and the lack of motive that he has makes him even weirder. What is his story? Why does he kill people?I know that Art was also in an anthology film called All Hallows Eve(2013) by the same director, which I haven't gotten around to watching yet. I will certainly look at that, as I enjoyed this one a lot. I recommend this if you like clown horror. It won't disappoint!! I will give it a 7/10.

Nail Gun Massacre Movie Review

Nail Gun Massacre is a 1985 horror movie directed by Terry Lofton and Bill Leslie and starring Michelle Meyer, Beau Leland and Rocky Patterson.

The film starts with a young woman called Linda(Meyer) who is gang raped at a construction site.
A few months later, someone is walking into a house with a nail gun. This person shoots a man in the head with it. His wife sees it and runs away. Two men are outside chopping wood. The killer shows up and disposes of them easily. The local Sheriff Thomas(Ron Queen) finds an abandoned truck in the road. He finds the dead bodies. He calls in Doctor Rocky Jones(Patterson) to look. They wonder if it is Old Lady Bailey as the bodies were found on her land. The nail gun killer gets another victim.
Two guys and a girl are moving into a house in the area. They are going to renovate it. They are Maxine, Tom and John. Some other people show up in town looking for work. They are Hal, Ben, Ann and Trish. They go to the construction site to ask about work. They learn that there is work going on at Maxine's house, so they go there.

The Sheriff finds the killers car. The killer is on the prowl and finds Hal and Ann having sex. That means certain death! Trish and Ben are there too and they wonder where their friends went. Ben goes to see where they are and gets nailed to a tree. Trish is left alone and she meets Maxine, Tom and John and tells them that her pals have gone AWOL. They look around and find the dead bodies of Ben, Hal and Ann. They call the Sheriff and wonder what the hell is going on. The killer visits the construction site where Linda was raped and kills two of the participants. The killer then wanders around town nailing victims! Doctor Jones calls a friend of his and asks for a profile of the killer. The Sheriff investigates the construction company and realises that there is a connection with the killer.
They think that the killer could be Linda's brother, Bubba, who owns the company.

They visit Linda and they look for Bubba. The killer is still murdering people. There is a confrontation between the killer and Doctor Jones. He crashes into the killer's car. The killer bolts but they catch him. The killer ends up falling and dying before they can catch him. They unmask him and it is Bubba. Linda is shocked that her brother was the one slaughtering people with his trusty nail gun. The movie ends with them walking away. This film was funny in parts because it was so cheaply made. It was bad but in a good way. I didn't think that I would enjoy it, but it was actually entertaining for the most part. I had fun with it and I just went with it. The nail gun thing was actually a good idea, I thought. Give this a chance if you enjoy cheaply made 80's movies. It is worth a look. I will be kind and give this one a 5/10.

Weird things start to happen around the village and Gwen wonders if there is witchcraft there. She sees witch doctor symbols and she faints. She wakes up in hospital. She thinks she is having another nervous breakdown. She tries to work out what is going on. She escapes from the hospital and she goes back to the village. She finds Stephanie and stays with her. She wanders around and visits the old church. She discovers that Stephanie and the rest of the village are in a coven. They want her to be one of them Stephanie is going to call the Devil by sacrificing Linda. She wants to live longer by using Linda.  Gwen stops it by cutting herself and ruining the ritual. Stephanie dies. It turns out that Stephanie was the real evil and controlled all of the others. Everyone seems to wake up and the movie ends with the village returning to normal and the villagers happy.

I enjoyed this film. It was a good Hammer horror movie. There isn't much in the way of scares in this, but it is entertaining and fun. Fontaine is good in the lead role and I liked the ending where she discovers the witches. This is worth a look for anyone who enjoys old horror movies and I recommend it! I will give it a 6/10.

What Have You Done to Solange? Movie Review

What Have You Done to Solange? is a 1972 giallo  movie directed by Massimo Dallamano and starring Fabio Testi, Cristina Galbo and Joachim Fuchsberger.

A couple are kissing and the girl, Elizabeth(Galbo) sees a girl being killed. Her lover, Enrico(Testi) is angry but they look around and there is nothing to see. Elizabeth says that she saw a knife. Enrico doesn't believe her until he hears about the murder on the radio. He realises that she was telling the truth. Enrico goes back to the same spot for another look. He is a teacher at a school, St. Mary's college. The police are there. They show photographs of the girl. Enrico is spotted in a photograph at the crime scene. The cops ask him questions. They ask him where he was. He lies and he says that he was alone at the time. He is actually having an affair with a student. He is married. The cops find a pen at the crime scene. Enrico rents a flat and he asks his lover, Elizabeth over to see him. Someone follows her.  Enrico gets a phone call but there is nobody there. Inspector Barth(Fuchsberger) comes over to see him and has the pen. Enrico's wife says that it is his pen. He confesses to being with Elizabeth.

The killer strikes again. Elizabeth has dreams about the killing. She calls Enrico as she is scared. She says the killer was wearing a priest's outfit. She tells the principal of the school . The priests there are not happy. The killer breaks into Enrico's flat drowns Elizabeth as she is there waiting for Enrico. The cops take Enrico into custody but Barth doesn't think that he is the killer. The inspector interviews the landlord. He says that he saw someone and that he had a beard. The cops let Enrico go. Barth comes into the school and he asks the students about a priest. There is a priest who comes there sometimes. One of the dead girls took confession from that priest. Enrico goes to see the boyfriend of one of the dead girls. He tells him about a girl called Solange(Camille Keaton) who went missing.
Enrico asks some of the school girls about Solange.

The girls are hiding something. One of the girls gets a call to meet her boyfriend at an amusement park. The police know and they are going to be there to see what happens. Solange is there also. One of the girls talks to her. She asks the girl to come with her. The girl asks her why she disappeared. The girl disappears with Solange and she is led to the killer who murders her. The truth comes out when the cops find out that Solange was the school Principal's daughter. She was in a club with the girls from the school but she got pregnant. They forced her to have an abortion against her will. Her father confesses to the police that he murdered all of the other girls in the club in revenge for what happened. His daughter went insane after the abortion and he blamed them for what happened to Solange. He dressed as a priest and put on a beard to disguise himself. He gets a gun from his desk and he shoots himself in the head.

I enjoyed this film. I liked the mystery throughout and the reveal at the end was fun. I liked the creepy feel and there were some pretty brutal killings in this one. The cast were pretty good and the story had some twists and turns which is always entertaining. If you enjoy giallo movies, then I would recommend this one. There is a lot to enjoy and it kept me guessing until the very end. I will give this a 6/10.

Sorority House Massacre Movie Review

Sorority House Massacre is a 1986 horror movie directed by Carol Frank and starring Angela O' Neill and John C Russell.

The movie begins with a girl called Beth(O'Neill) who has a brother called Bobby(Russell), who killed her family, but she escaped. He is in a mental institution now, but he is eager to finish the job he started. Beth has visions of him. She is living in a sorority house and she is with some friends of hers there. Her brother takes his chance and he escapes. He is coming for her. Beth tells her friends about her visions and dreams. Meanwhile, Bobby is stealing a car and heading straight for the sorority house. Beth is with her friends, Linda, Sara and Tracy. Some guys turn up to join them. They are Craig, Andy and John. You can see what is going to happen here!!

The guys start telling stories about Bobby and what happened. Beth gets scared. Bobby reaches the sorority house and he starts to kill people. Beth gets hypnotised and she remembered what happened with Bobby when she was young. He tried to kill her. Tracy gets killed by Bobby. Everyone starts to panic and Bobby cuts the phone line. Beth sees him and he chases her. She runs into a room with some of the others and they try to keep him out. He kills more until Beth and Linda are the only two survivors. His doctor figures out where Bobby is and what he is there to do. He tells the cops and they make their way to the sorority house to stop him before he can kill Beth.

Beth and Linda try and run from him. Linda hits him with a shovel and they think that he is dead. He isn't. He kills Linda. He runs after Beth and they face off. She grabs a knife and she stabs him. He is dead this time!! Beth ends up in hospital as the film draws to a close. She still has visions of her homicidal brother. This is a by the numbers slasher movie. That doesn't mean that it is bad, though.
It is quite enjoyable despite being formulaic. The story is similar to Halloween in some ways. It has a sister who is being stalked by her maniac brother. Hmm. That sounds familiar!!! Unfortunately, this film is nowhere as good as Halloween. If you enjoy 80's slashers, as I do, then you will find this entertaining!!! I will give it a 5/10.

Sssssss Movie Review

Sssssss is a 1973 horror movie directed by Bernard L. Kowalski and starring Dirk Benedict, Strother Martin and Heather Menzies.

The movie begins with Dr.Carl Stoner(Martin) who is giving something away in a box. He is selling whatever it is to a freak show. He goes to see a friend of his, Dr. Daniels, to get his research grant extended. He wants a student to work with. He chooses David Blake(Benedict). Stoner has a pet snake called Harry. He also has a daughter called Kristina(Menzies) who David meets when he arrives at Stoner's house/lab. He shows David around and he gives him an injection which he says will protect him in case he gets bitten by a snake. Stoner has a King Cobra in a box and it is aggressive. Dr. Stoner performs a show with his snakes and people pay to see him.

David starts to feel different after a while. His skin starts to peel. The sheriff comes to see Stoner. He wants a tour of the snake lab. They are asking about a man called Tim who used to be his assistant. He is missing. David and Kristina become closer. It turns out that the doctor is turning David into a snake! David and Kristina visit a carnival and they see a snake man there. A local bully tries to fight with David and there is a scuffle. He comes to the house later and kills Harry. Stoner knows it was him and he goes off with a black mamba in a bag. He goes over to the bully's house and he finds the guy in the shower. He lets out his black mamba which bites the guy and kills him.

Dr Stoner finds out that Kristina and David have been spending a lot of time together and he isn't happy about it. David's face starts to change. Something is happening to his body. Stoner sends Kristina to pick up a snake for him to get her out of the way. Dr. Daniels comes looking for David. Stoner won't let him see David. Daniels tells him that he won't be getting his grant. He gets hit on the head by Stoner. He chains him up and he puts the key into a box filled with snakes. Daniels gets the key and gets attacked by a python. Kristina finds that she has time to kill and she visits the freak show again. She sees the snake man. She realises that it is Tim, the assistant. The Sheriff comes looking for Dr. Daniels.

David changes into a snake. Stoner keeps him in his lab. Stoner brings out his cobra and he gets bitten. He dies as David becomes a cobra. Kristina arrives back and sees what has happened. A mongoose is attacking David as she screams and the cops are there too. The movie ends with us not finding out what happened to either of them. This was a pretty good film. It is no masterpiece, by any means, but there is enough here to keep you entertained. I liked Dirk Benedict in this and the story is so bizarre, it's interesting. It isn't the greatest film, but the cast are pretty good and it is worth a look just to see a man transform into a snake!!! I will give this one a 5/10.

Blood Fest Movie Review

Blood Fest is a 2018 horror/ comedy movie directed by Owen Egerton and starring Robbie Kay, Seychelle Gabriel, Jacob Batalon, Barbara Dunkleman, Nick Rutherford and Tate Donovan.

The movie begins with a guy called Dax(Kay) who wants to go to a horror festival called Blood Fest.
His dad doesn't want him to go because Dax's mother was murdered on Halloween and Dax witnessed his father shoot the killer. Dax has a pal called Krill(Batalon) and he wants Dax to go. They both know a girl called Ashley(Dunkleman) who can get them in. Dax decides to go with his friend Krill and another friend, Sam(Gabriel). The group get in and they look around. Dax meets his horror hero, Roger Hinckley who was in his favourite horror movie franchise, Arbor Day. He is not a very nice guy and Dax is disappointed. The organiser of the event is called Anthony Walsh(Owen Egerton) and he addresses the crowd. He unveils guys with chainsaws and a killer called Red. He says that he will kill anyone who comes up on stage. People think that it is a joke. It isn't. The guys come into the crowd and the real killing begins.

Dax and his friends escape from the massacre. They hide. There are different horror sections in the place. They work out that they need to go to Clowntown to escape. They pass through a graveyard and there are zombies there. They find a cabin and hide there. The zombies are controlled by people who are on computers in a control room. Hinckley is in the cabin. Something is coming from the basement. Dax figures out that the zombies are not really. He pulls the wires out of a box he has found and they all fall. They keep going and meet another killer. They run into a school. They meet Zachary Levi but he gets killed. Krill gets separated from his friends and he runs into a few people who are sitting around a campfire. They are vampires. He meets one that he likes and she spares him when she realises he is a virgin. Meanwhile, Dax tells Hinckley to pretend to be the killer's dad. Roger talks to the killer and distracts him while the others escape. Dax and the others run. Roger follows.Krill comes back and he kills the psycho.

The group end up in Tortureville and Sam gets herself caught up in a trap, but Roger saves her, dying in the process. Ashley and Krill gets locked into a bathroom and they end up having sex. Outside the fest, Dax's father, Dr.Vaughn Conway(Donovan) is on a TV show complaining about the fest and horror movies and he is waiting for his son to show up. When Dax doesn't come , his dad knows that he has gone to the fest. The group of pals reunite and head to Clowntown. Obviously, there are killer clows there and they get surrounded. The zombies also show up and there is a battle. Ashley gets killed. They reach a warehouse where they can escape. They try and get out. Rain shows up and she kills Krill when she realises that he is no longer a virgin. Sam stakes her and kills her. Conway shows up and he has a gun.

Red comes and grabs Sam. It t urns out that Red is Dax's sister, Jayme. She tells them that it was their dad who set all of it up with Walsh. He did it to show how evil horror movies are. Jayme tells them to go. They get locked in and they fetch weapons and a truck. They want to stop the maniac dad. Conway talks with Walsh and tells him he messed up. He activates a pulse to drive people insane. Sam gets infected by it. She tries to kill Dax. Dax confronts his dad and the dad shoots Walsh. He wants to blow the whole thing up. Jayme kills him. She tells Dax to take off Sam's wristband that she got at the fest. He does so and she returns to normal. Jayme escapes. The movie ends. There is a mid credits scene where Sam and Dax see a huge explosion in Blood Fest. There is also a post credits scene where we are shown that Walsh is still alive! Sequel maybe???

I really enjoyed this one. I liked the premise of a horror festival which is real. It was funny in parts and I liked all of the horror cliches. I don't usually like horror mixed with comedy, but it works really well here. It is silly, of course, in parts and there isn't much that we haven't seen before, but I don't mind that. I liked it. So, all in all, this is a horror comedy with some fun scenes and I think that any horror fan would enjoy it. Just don't take it too seriously!!! I will give it a 6/10.

Spiders 3D Movie Review

Spiders 3D is a 2013 horror movie directed by Tibor Takacs and starring Patrick Muldoon , Christa Campbell and William Hope.

Something is happening in New York city. An unidentified object drops out of the sky and crashes into a subway station. A guy walks in there and he sees a creature that looks like a spider. He gets bitten and he dies. Jason Cole(Muldoon) is a supervisor in the subway and he goes down there to find out what is going on. There is a Doctor Darnoff(Pete Lee-Wilson) there too. The NYC Department of Health isn't happy about it. Jason goes to see the coroner about the dead man and she just happens to be his ex wife, Rachel(Campbell). She shows him the bite and she says that there were eggs inside his body. She keeps them in a container. Jason discovers that there are rats all over the subway tunnel. An exterminator arrives. Bodies are found with eggs inside them. A man gets killed by loads of spiders. They are on the loose!

People arrive to sort out the mess. There are men in special suits who capture some of the spiders to study them. They tell people that it is some virus and they bring the eggs to Dr. Darnoff who looks at them and says that the queen egg was inserted into the first body. He goes on to say that the spiders were an experiment gone wrong in Russia and the spiders were injected with some alien genes(yes!) and that was how they got so huge and dangerous. A Colonel Jenkins(Hope) is there also and he wants this over with. He wants to kill the people that they have quarantined. Dr. Darnoff says that they need to find the queen egg as it is not there. Rachel has it. Two guys attack her and take it from her.

Rachel and Jason's daughter Emily is quarantined in her home and Jason wants to get to her and rescue her. He meets Rachel and they both go to the apartment to get their daughter. Dr. Darnoff tells Jenkins that the queen spider weaves webbing that is bulletproof and very valuable to any nation.
Jenkins wants Rachel and Jason. He is working with the Russians. Jason and Rachel go down to the subway station and walk along the tracks. The spiders have taken over and they are climbing up buildings. One chases Rachel and Jason. Rachel gets caught in a web. Jason has to distract it and he kills it and releases his ex wife. They get to the apartment and look for their daughter. Colonel Jenkins is on the lookout for the queen spider. He wants it captured and under his control. The army guys try to fight the oncoming spiders and fail. The queen comes. She eats the doctor. The army try and take her out. She is too big.

She wanders the street. She is looking for her nest. She goes back to the subway. Emily is down there. The queen tries to get her, but her parents rescue her. Jason ends up facing off with the queen arachnid. He leads her down the tracks and he jumps into a train and drives it into her and some gas pipes which come in so handy!! The whole place explodes and the queen is blown to smithereens. Rachel, Jason and Emily are okay. The dead arachnids are taken away. Unfortunately, there is one spider left alive......

This film was fun. It was the usual monster spider movie, but there is nothing wrong with it. I liked Patrick Muldoon in the lead. The spiders were big and of course, the queen was a monster! I don't like spiders, but you have to just laugh when you see them that big! I found this an entertaining film which I would certainly recommend as I enjoyed it. You know what you are getting here and it doesn't disappoint. I will give it a 5/10.

Zombi 2 Movie Review

Zombi 2 is a 1979 horror movie directed by Lucio Fulci and starring Tisa Farrow, Ian McCulloch and Al Cliver.

The movie begins with a boat floating in the harbour in New York. There is nobody on it. The police come to see what is going on as do the Harbour Patrol. They call out but there is no answer. They board the boat and they find that it is a mess. They discover worms and a putrefied hand as well as a zombie who kills a cop. It is shot by another cop and it falls into the river. A journalist, Peter West(McCulloch) is going to investigate what is happening. A woman, Anne Bowles(Farrow) is called in to identify the boat, which belonged to her father. She says that she hasn't seen him in three months. She is worried about him. She and Peter decide to go to the Caribbean, where her father is, and find out what is going on.

They fly over and they get a boat to go over to the island of Matul, where Anne's father is. They meet a couple called Brian(Cliver) and Susan and they take them along too. The island is meant to be cursed. Dr. Menard(Richard Johnson) works in the hospital on the island. He is also doing research on voodoo. He injects himself with something. He then tests his blood. Peter and the others are looking around for the island. Susan goes scuba diving off the boat and she sees a shark. Then she sees something else. She thinks that it is a man but it is a zombie and it tries to get her. It gets distracted by the shark and there is a zombie vs shark fight!!!!

Back on the island, Dr. Menard looks at all of the infected people in his hospital. The locals are scared. The witch doctor is scaring them. Menard's wife gets killed when a zombie breaks in.  In the hospital, the doctor shoots the corpses to stop t hem from becoming zombies. He is going to make sure they are buried. He meets Peter and the others and they talk about Anne's father. He tells her that her father died. The locals tell him that they saw a zombie. They run to the doctors house and find his wife's body being eaten by zombies.  They get into a car and try and escape. Brian and Susan find a graveyard. The zombies start to rise from their graves. Susan gets bitten. Brian shoots at the zombie and Peter smashes its head. They find the doctor and barricade themselves into the hospital.

The doctor tells them that the infection began three months ago and got worse and worse. The zombies come to the door. Peter and the others fight. Menard gets bitten. More and more zombies arrive and the group try to burn them out. They have to try and escape. Susan reanimates and she bites Brian. Peter shoots her. The hospital explodes. Brian, Peter and Anne get to the boat. Brian is in a bad way. They hear on the radio that the zombies are taking over. Brian dies. They keep his body in a box so that they can show it to the authorities as proof of the zombies. The movie ends with New York being taken over by zombies...

I liked this film. It is a really good zombie movie with some gory scenes. Fulci does a good job here and the scene with the zombie and the shark is unique!!! It is a sequel of sorts to Dawn of the Dead(1978) also. There is plenty to like about this film. It has zombies and some gore and the story is not bad. So, all in all, I recommend this one. It is fun and I really enjoyed watching it. I will give this one a 7/10.
