Cayman Went Movie Review 108

Cayman Went is a movie which I hadn't heard anything about before I saw it. I didn't really know what to expect. It is directed by Bobby Sheehan and it stars Mike Lombardi who also starred in Rescue Me .

Josh Anders(Lombardi) is an actor who stars on a TV show called Diver Down. He is sort of washed up and he goes to a meeting at a company who want him to go to a place called Cayman Brac and get the land rights so that they can build their resort there. He goes to the island and he meets some of the locals. It is a beautiful place and the locals seem eccentric but nice.Josh talks to them and he tells them that they could sell their land and that he could bring his TV show there to make some episodes. They seem to like that idea.

Josh goes to see another guy called Rodgers Bowman(Jeffrey DeMunn) and tells him about his offer, but Bowman isn't interested. Next day, Josh tries again. He finds himself enjoying the company of the old man and getting used to the island.He meets a girl called Darby(Susan Misner) and they get along well and have dinner together. Josh begins to fit in and he likes the island and he changes his mind about wanting to get the locals to part with their land rights. He gets along very well with Rodgers and he begins to care for the old man. They spend lots of time together and get to know each other well. The company are not happy that Josh has changed his mind about doing the job for them. Rodgers dies in the end and he leaves his house to Josh to do with as he pleases. Josh decides not to sell and he decides to live in the house himself...

This movie was a feel good one and if you like movies where not much happens, then you will love this one.There is also some great scenery in this and some beautiful blue skies to look at.I am going to give it a 5/10.
