Freddy Vs Jason Movie Review

Freddy Vs Jason is a 2003 crossover horror movie directed by Ronny Yu and starring Robert Englund, Monica Keena, Jason Ritter and Brendan Fletcher.

The movie begins with Freddy Krueger, who details his life and deeds. It turns out that nobody is afraid of him anymore. He is stuck in Hell. He needs to get out so he sees someone who can help him escape. He sees Jason Voorhees. He hatches a plan to bring him back to life. He pretends to be Mrs. Voorhees and succeeds in reviving Jason. Freddy wants to have some fun now. Jason ends up on Elm Street. A group of teens are hanging out on Elm Street. Lori(Keena) and her friends, Kia(Kelly Rowland), Gibb(Katherine Isabelle),Trey(Jesse Hutch) and Blake are together. The lights go out and Jason starts his killing spree. They all run out of the house. They see a car and they meet the cops. That night, Jason kills Trey and he kills Blake and his dad. The cops don't want people to think that it is Freddy Krueger so they try and make it into a murder suicide.

Lori's ex boyfriend, Will(Ritter) and his pal, Mark(Fletcher) are in a psychiatric hospital. They have been taking a drug called Hypnocil, which stops them from dreaming and encountering Freddy. They have seen him before. They see a news report about the killings and they recognise that it Lori's house. Will wants to get out to help her. He talks to Mark about it. Will saw Lori's dad kill her mother. Mark gets the keys and they escape. They warn Lori about Freddy and what is going to happen if he comes back. The cops are after Mark and Will. Mark's brother was killed by Freddy. The locals covered up Freddy's killings. Lori's dad tries to get her to take pills so she won't see Freddy but she won't take them. She leaves the house and meets Will. They talk about Freddy. Mark sees Freddy when he falls asleep. Freddy wants to send a message and he leaves it on Mark after he kills him.
The cops have a curfew and a roadblock so they can find Will.

Lori's friends start to die. Jason is still on his killing spree and he goes to a party that the kids are having and he starts to slice and dice his way through the teens. Nobody knows who Jason is. Will tells Lori that her dad killed her mother and that her father had him committed to a psychiatric institution because of what he knew.  All of the kids who knew about Freddy were locked away so that they couldn't talk about him. The local cop, Stubbs(Lochlyn Monro) talks to Will, Lori and her remaining friends about Jason. They want to get Jason out of the way. They decide to offer Lori as a sacrifice to Freddy, hoping that he will come and she can get him. It doesn't work. They go to the psychiatric institution, Western Hills, to find out what is going on. A lot of the kids are in comas because of the drugs that they were given to stop them dreaming. Jason shows up there. He kills Stubbs but he gets injected by a doctor there, who is possessed by Freddy. Freddy wants Jason out of his way now.

Jason is incapacitated and asleep now. He finds Freddy waiting for him. They have a fight.
Jason cuts off Freddy's arms but he regenerates. They clash again. Freddy tries to kill Jason, but to no avail. Freddy knows that Jason is afraid of water. He brings on a torrent to stop him in his tracks.
The kids have Jason in a van and they are taking him to Camp Crystal Lake, hoping that they can destroy him. Freddy torments Jason with memories from his youth. Lori is going to go to sleep so she can draw Freddy out and Jason can kill him. She sees images from his youth when he was bullied. Freddy almost has Jason drowned. One of Lori's friends has to give him mouth to mouth. Jason wakes and the van crashes. Freddy sees Lori. The kids try to wake her up. They are at Camp Crystal Lake. Lori is at her house in her dream. Freddy is there. Jason returns home. The place goes on fire. Jason comes to sort Freddy out once and for all. Lori wakes up and the kids leave them to it.

Lori wants to see Freddy die as she blames him for her mother's death. Will and Lori set a fire, hoping to scare Freddy, but there are propane tanks around and there is an explosion. Jason rips off Freddy's hand with glove attached. They fall into the water and start fighting again. Freddy thinks that he is on top, but Jason uses Freddy's glove to kill him. He sticks it right into him. He falls back into the lake. Freddy sees Lori and she cuts off his head. Freddy takes a dive into the lake also. Lori and Will head off into the sunset. The movie ends with Jason coming out his lake, holding Freddy's severed head. Freddy opens his eyes and winks, suggesting that he is not dead at all.

What can I say about this movie? It was great! I love Jason and Freddy and putting the two of them together was such fun!! I enjoyed this one a lot. I thought that it was just so entertaining and seeing the two killers together was a real treat. The final fight was really good and I enjoyed the ending also. This is a worthy entry in both the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises. It is fun and even though I would choose Jason over Freddy, I liked the wink at the end from Freddy to show us that he isn't dead!! I highly recommend this one!! It gets an 8/10.

Baron Blood Movie Review

Baron Blood is a 1972 horror movie directed by Mario Bava and starring Joseph Cotten and Elke Sommer.

The film begins with a man called Peter Kleist(Antonio Cantafora) who travels to Austria to find out about his family history. He is interested in a baron who was in his family. He meets his uncle, Karl and they talk about him. He was not a good man and they travel to see his castle. His name is Baron Otto Von Kleist. His nickname was Baron Blood. He was cursed by a witch called Elizabeth. She made sure that he will be able to rise from the dead so she can get her revenge on him again. Peter sees his torture instruments. His castle will be turned into a hotel. Peter meets the man who is in charge of the project. He is called Herr Dortmund and his has an assistant called Eva(Sommer). Peter likes her.

Eva is invited to dinner by Karl and they all chat about the baron. Peter shows Karl papers with an incantation on it that will bring the baron back from the dead. Karl is not in favour of Peter trying that. Karl's daughter, Gretchen tells them that she has seen the baron in the woods. They think that she is imagining it. Peter and Eva go to the castle and make the huge mistake of reading the incantation. They have set the wheels in motion and they hear noises in the castle. They leave before anything can happen. The baron is on his way back from the dead. He makes his way to his castle.
He is not happy and he wants to do some killing. He gets Dortmund first. Then he kills the caretaker, Fritz. The hotel is put on hold after the discovery of two bodies.

An man called Alfred Becker(Cotten) buys the place. He is an odd millionaire in a wheelchair. He wants Eva to help him to restore the place to its former glory. Eva tells him about Baron Blood and the curse. The baron comes after her in the castle and she decides not to stay there anymore. He pursues her to her room and she gets scared. She calls Karl and tells him. He knows a woman called Christina who is a medium and they go to see her. She is reluctant to help them but she relents and she performs a spell gives Eva a magic amulet and tells her that she and Peter brought the baron back, so they have to be the ones to kill him. He is aware of this and he is out to get them. When they have left, Christina gets killed by the baron.

Gretchen meets the baron in the woods. She is not killed by him, though and she returns home to tell her father what happened. She is brought to the castle and when she meets Becker, she tells her father that he is the baron. Eva, Peter and Karl decide that they need to confront Becker and find out what is going on. When they arrive there, the castle has been restored and they realise that he could be the baron after all. When he gets out of wheelchair and walks towards them, the penny drops and they realise that yes, he is the baron. Eva pulls out the amulet, but he just laughs. He goes after Peter and Karl and brings them to his torture chamber where the men are tortured. Eva drops her amulet on top of Fritz's dead body and some drops of her blood and he comes back to life! It turns out that the blood of Eva paired with the amulet is bringing back the baron's victims and they are going to make sure they send him back to the grave. They advance on him and tear him to pieces as Eva escapes and gets Peter and Karl out of the torture chamber. The tree leave the castle as they hear the death cries of the baron and the cackling of Elizabeth who has had her revenge.

This was entertaining and fun. It is not a brilliant film, by any means, but it is well worth your time, especially if you are a fan of Mario Bava. I preferred this one to Lisa and the Devil. I liked the story and the cast were decent too. The setting of the castle is creepy and there is a lot to enjoy about this movie. If you haven't seen it, I would recommend it. I liked it and I will give this a 6/10.

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday Movie Review

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday is a 1993 horror movie directed by Adam Marcus and starring  John D. LeMay, Kari Keegan and Steven Williams. It is the ninth movie in the Friday the 13th franchise.

A woman comes to a house in Crystal Lake. The lights go out. Jason is there and he is after her. The cops show up and they shoot him and blow him up. Jason's remains are taken to the hospital. When the autopsy is being performed, it turns out that there is brain activity. The coroner decides to take a bite out of Jason's heart and he becomes possessed by the spirit of Jason Voorhees. The new Jason takes off. A bounty hunter called Creighton Duke(Williams) is looking for Jason. He is being paid to kill him. He finds out that Jason can only be killed by a blood relative. Meanwhile, Jason is killing some teens. He is coming to get his half sister, Diana(Erin Gray) and be reborn through her body.
Diana has a daughter, Jessica(Keegan) and a granddaughter, Stephanie.

Stephanie's father, Steven(LeMay) comes to the house also and tries to stop Jason, but it is no use.
Diana gets killed and Steven gets the blame. He is thrown into jail where Duke has also ended up.
They talk and Duke tells him about Jason's link to Jessica and her daughter. Jessica is the only one who can kill Jason. Steven breaks out of his cell to save Jessica and his daughter from Jason. He goes to the Voorhees house. He looks around and finds a strange book, which Evil Dead fans will recognise as the Necronomicon and a dagger.

There is a news guy there called Robert. He is Jessica's boyfriend. He is there to film a segment about Jason being alive again and he has even stolen Diana's body from the morgue to put in his piece.
Jason is there and he possesses Robert. Jason then goes to get Jessica. Steven comes to her rescue.
He tells her what is happening with Jason. She doesn't believe it and she throws him out of her car.
She goes to the police station and tells them about Steven. Jason goes to the police station and kills everyone he sees. He wants Jessica. Steven shoots him but he can't kill Jason. Duke uses this opportunity to escape from jail. Stephanie is at a diner where she is safe. Duke takes the baby and Jessica wants her back. Duke meets her and he tells her that he needs her help to send Jason back to Hell. He gives her a dagger to kill him with.

Jason has entered a cop and he comes to the Voorhees house. Steven kills him again and the cop dies but some sort of weird creature comes out of his body and crawls away to the basement where Diana's body is. He enters her and he is reborn. Duke is the first to get killed. Jason attacks Steven next. There is a fight and Jessica grabs the dagger and she stabs Jason in the heart. This puts an end to his reign of terror and he is pulled down to Hell by the souls of his victims. Steven ad Jessica take their daughter and walk away. The movie ends with Jason's mask in the dirt. A familiar gloved hand reaches out and takes it, setting up Freddy Vs Jason which would not appear for another ten years!

I have to be honest about this film. I didn't like it. I thought that it was the weakest in the series.
The story wasn't the best and I just didn't find it worth my time. I did enjoy the inclusion of the Necronomicon and Freddy's glove. I thought they were the highlights of this film. Other that those two things, there isn't much to like about it. It's a bit of a mess. I have enjoyed all of the movies in the series up to this point, but this one I could not watch again. I don't like to say anything bad about the Friday the 13th movies as they are mostly great, but this one isn't. So, I will give it a 3/10.

The Last Horror Film Movie Review

The Last Horror Film is a 1982 horror movie directed by David Winters and starring Joe Spinell and Caroline Munro.

The film begins with a man called Vinnie Durand(Spinell). He is a taxi driver who lives with his mother. He is obsessed with a horror movie actress called Jana Bates(Munro). He wants to make a movie with her. He decides to go the Cannes film festival when he discovers that she will be there.
He thinks that if he meets her, he can convince her to star in his film. His mother thinks that he crazy.
Jana arrives in Cannes and Vinnie is there. He tries to get into a party but it is just for movie people . He dreams that he is a big time director and everyone loves him. Jana is with her ex husband, Bret Bates(Glenn Jacobson) and her current boyfriend, Alan Cunningham(Judd Hamilton). Vinnie doesn't like Bret. Jana receives a note that says she has made her last horror film. She also finds Bret's dead body. He has been murdered. Vinnie is there. He films her reaction.

Jana calls the police and when they go to see the body, it has disappeared. Jana is upset and confused.
Alan thinks that it could be a sick prank. Vinnie wanders around filming Jana. Bates has disappeared.
The police think that it is a joke that he is playing on Jana. They think that it might be a publicity stunt for his movie. More people start to get killed and we discover that it is Vinnie. He kills more people connected to Jana. He breaks into her hotel room but gets disturbed. He chases Jana and she runs into Alan who takes her back to her hotel. Alan calls for security. He takes her to stay with friends who live in the area. Vinnie follows. The security guys see Vinnie and they shoot at him.
Jana decides that she will use a decoy at the awards ceremony. Vinnie is going to get her.

He dresses up as a cop. Jana meets her decoy on the night and lets her go on instead of her. Jana stays backstage. Vinnie catches her and kidnaps her. Alan and the police find out what has happened and they follow Vinnie to a castle. He has a scene set up for her. He is going to kill her. Bret shows up and says that he was behind the killings all along. Vinnie was just a stooge. He is going to let Vinnie take the fall for it all. Vinnie distracts him and gets a chainsaw. He kills Bret. The police come. The movie ends with the revelation that it has all been Vinnie's film. None of it was real and he was actually making his movie with Jana. He and his mother watched it. She is proud of him. They share a joint.

This was an enjoyable movie. It wasn't anything amazing, but there was enough to keep me watching. It was fun to see Joe Spinell in this. I liked him in Maniac(1980) and he was convincing as a loser in this. His real mother starred too. The ending was pretty good as I didn't realise that it was Vinnie's movie all along. It was a little ropey in parts, but on the whole, it is a decent horror movie and I recommend it. I will give it a 5/10.

Wes Craven's New Nightmare Movie Review

Wes Craven's New Nightmare is a 1994 horror movie written and directed by Wes Craven. It is the seventh movie in the franchise. It stars Heather Langenkamp, Robert Englund, Wes Craven, John SaxonDavid Newsom and Miko Hughes.

The movie begins with Heather(who plays herself) having nightmares about Freddy Krueger. Her husband, Chase(Newsom) is going away for a few days. She finds her son, Dylan(Hughes) watching a Nightmare on Elm Street and she is not happy. Her friend, Julie comes to look after her son while she is going to have an interview with Robert Englund. She gets a call from New Line Cinema. They want to meet her. They want to bring Freddy back and Wes Craven is going to direct it. She will be the star of the movie. Heather arrives home to find Dylan having a nightmare. She calls Chase and tells him to come home as she is worried about her son. Dylan uses his toy dinosaur as a guard to keep Freddy away from him.

Heather has a nightmare about Chase dying. The cops call to her and tell her her husband has died. She sees his body. There are marks on him as if from claws. At the funeral, she has a vision of Freddy. She discovers that her son knows all about Freddy Krueger. She called Englund to tell her about her son and her visions of Freddy. He is painting pictures of Freddy. It is all getting weird. She finds her son having a fit and brings him to hospital for tests. She visits Wes Craven and he tells her that Freddy is an ancient spirit. He had been held captive in the movies but now he seems to be free after the last movie. He wants to cross over into our world. He tells her that she is the only one who can defeat him. They need to make another movie to get rid of him.

Freddy is coming for her. He is more evil than he was. Dylan hasn't been sleeping and Julie is with him at the hospital. She is trying to stop him from falling asleep because of Freddy. Freddy comes for her and he kills her. Dylan disappears. Heather calls John Saxon for help. She sees her son sleepwalking out of the hospital and Freddy is with him. John turns into his character from the movie.
Heather has to become Nancy once gain to save her son. She finds herself back on Elm Street. She finds sleeping pills and she takes them. She enters Freddy's world. She fights him for her son. She and her son manage to push him into an oven and turn on the heat and destroy him once and for all. Heather discovers a movie script and she takes it with her. They escape. When they get home, she looks at the script and there is a note from Wes Craven saying that Freddy is back where he belongs and saying thanks for playing Nancy. The movie ends with Heather telling her son that the script is a story and reading it to him.

This was a really good addition to the series. I liked it a lot. I thought that it was clever and I liked the story. It was fun to see Freddy back again and the darker Freddy was interesting. He seemed less comical and more frightening which I liked. The cast were great and I enjoyed seeing some of those from the original back for this film. This was a more serious affair and it was better than some of the sequels. I guess Craven wanted to veer away from the former movies which could be a bit silly in parts and make a more serious movie with a demonic Freddy. It worked really well, I think and this was very enjoyable. I will give it a 7/10.

Friend Request Movie Review

Friend Request is a 2014 horror movie directed by Simon Verhoeven  and starring Alycia Debnam-Carey, William Mosely, Connor Paolo, Brit Morgan and Sean Marquette.

The movie begins in college with a girl called Laura(Debnam-Carey), a college student who uses her Facebook page a lot. Her whole life is on it. An odd girl is watching her. She is in one of her classes.
She gets a friend request from the girl, whose name is Marina Mills(Liesl Ahlers). She is a little reluctant at first, but she accepts it. Unfortunately, Marina keeps sending her messages and she starts stalking her. Laura looks at Marina's page and it has all weird images and strange stuff on it. Marina starts calling her online. On Laura's birthday, Marina wants to spend time with her, but Laura tells her that she is having a quiet dinner with her boyfriend, Tyler(William Moseley). She goes to a surprise party and the pictures are posted online. Guess who sees them? Yes, Marina sees them and she is furious with Laura. She confronts her at college and she makes a scene.  Laura is scared of her and she unfriends her.

Marina tries to make it up to her, but Laura wants nothing to do with her. She finds out later that Marina has killed herself. The police don't know who she is. They think that her name was fake.
Laura gets a message from Marina. She receives a video of Marina killing herself. Someone is posting the video on her page and Marina has been added as her friend again. Laura can't fix it. The police talk to her about it. She tries to delete her profile, but she can't. She asks her friend Kobe(Paolo) to help her as he is good at computers. One of her friends dies when something comes for him. He kills himself by banging his head off the wall. A video of his death shows up on Laura's page. Her friends are disgusted with her. She tries to get it off her page, but she can't.

She gets suspended from college. Kobe looks at Marina's page. He discovers that she was practicing witchcraft. He and Laura break into her room and look around. They find a picture of her from school. Laura goes there and asks about her. Marina was mistreated by the boys there and she had a very hard time. She withdrew and became odd. The other children became afraid of her. It turns out that she has something to do with the death of two boys at the school. Next, Laura's pal Isabelle finds herself friends with Marina on her page. She finds weird things happening to her and she ends up dead. The video shows up on Laura's page and her friends are unfriending her by the dozens. All of her friends try to delete their accounts but can't.

Tyler tries to help his girlfriend by checking Marina's medical records. He finds her mother's address.  Kobe tells Laura that Marina used black mirrors to communicate with spirits. Witches also used them. They realise that Marina's laptop was her black mirror and they need to find it. They find out that Marina's mother was killed in a fire while she was pregnant with Marina but Marina somehow survived. Laura's pal Olivia(Morgan) is the next to die. Kobe and Laura go to an old commune where her mother had lived to find where Marina died. Kobe turns on her and tries to kill her in order to save himself. He thinks that if Laura dies, then Marina will leave him alone. Tyler finds out where Laura has gone and he goes to find her.

Kobe chases Laura. Tyler arrives. Kobe and Tyler look for her. Tyler locates her and she tells him what Kobe did, but Kobe stabs him. He dies. Kobe gets attacked by a swarm of wasps and he dies. Laura wanders around an old factory and she finds the place where Marina died. Marina tells her that she wants to be friends forever. Something comes at Laura. The movie ends with Laura at college. She has turned into the outcast now and she has been possessed by Marina. She is looking for some people to send friend requests to on Facebook, starting the cycle all over again...

This was not as bad as I thought it would be. I actually liked it. I found that it was quite entertaining in parts and it had a few creepy moments. It is not brilliant by any means, but it is certainly worth a look if you want to pass ninety minutes. I will give it a 5/10.

No Man's Land:The Rise of Reeker Movie Review

No Man's Land: The Rise of Reeker is a 2008 horror movie and a sequel to Reeker. It is directed by Dave Payne and stars Michael Muhney, Mircea Monroe and Robert Pine.

The movie begins in the 1970's.  A man sees a guy looking for a lift on the road. The guy turns out to be a weirdo. The man won't let him into his car. He drives into the weirdo with his car. He kills him.
The man is called the valley drifter. He is a salesman. He is talking to someone who isn't there. He cuts off the weirdo's tongue. A cop comes along and finds the blood on the car. He follows the man into a shack where there are all body parts around. The cop can't breathe in there but he gets the guy and handcuffs him. The man gives himself up and says that his work is done. The cops talk to him and he says that he heard a voice telling him that he needs to kill. The man gets executed. The cop becomes Sheriff  and the man comes back as Reeker.

Cut to present day. The same Sheriff, whose name is Sheriff Reed(Pine) is  handing over the reins to his son , Harris(Muhney). There is a new waitress working at the diner in the desert. Her name is Maya(Monroe). She finds blood in the bathroom. She tells her boss, but he says that they find weird stuff all the time. Three guys turn up. They have robbed a casino and they are on the run. One of them is bleeding. They take Maya hostage. One of them turns out to be her ex boyfriend, Alex(Stephen Martines) and the other two are Carlos and Binky(Desmond Askew). They need a car to escape.
The Sheriff sees them and there is a shootout. A woman comes out of the diner and says that she is a doctor and she can see to the wounded man. Maya has dropped the car keys in the drain out of spite. Now she has to find them. Things start to get really weird from here onwards.

A Native American man called Leonard Eaglesmith turns up at the diner and he says that he knows about evil spirits in this place. He gets himself some weapons. Harris goes off to get some help. Binky gets a car and he takes off. He hits an invisible wall and he gets hurt. His head comes apart.
He wanders around. Harris finds the old shack and he looks inside. Reeker is there. Reeker has Leonard and he is killing him. Harris gets back to the diner and tells the others. They wonder what is going on. Reeker starts killing people. The Sheriff sees Reeker. He recognises him as the man from the beginning of the movie. They need a plan. Sheriff Reed goes to the shack and he calls out Reeker. He gets knocked out and wakes up on the table in the shack where he is killed.

Reeker comes for the others. Alex sets a trap for him. They set up a bomb to blow him up. It works and they destroy Reeker. More cops show up and sees their bodies. Maya and Harris are alive. The others aren't. They were in some kind of dream world . Binky shot the Sheriff and the Sheriff fried his gun and hit a propane tank which exploded and killed others. The movie ends with a kid who is hearing voices telling him to do things. He kills his babysitter. This suggests that Reeker is not gone after all... This was an okay sequel to Reeker. It was not as good as the original and the story wasn't great, but it was enjoyable all the same. This won't amaze you or show you anything original but if you liked the first one, then you might enjoy this too! I will give it a 5/10.

Cherry Falls Movie Review

Cherry Falls is a 2000 horror movie directed by Geoffrey Wright and starring Brittany Murphy, Jay Mohr, Michael Biehn and Gabriel Mann.

In the town of Cherry Falls, a couple are making out in a car. Someone comes along and kills them.
Kenny(Mann) and his girlfriend, Jody(Murphy) are in his car. He tries to get her to have sex with him, but she won't. He tells her that they should break up. Cut to Sheriff Marken(Biehn), who also happens to be Jody's dad. He is at the crime scene and he looks at the couple who were murdered.
They were students and he goes to the local high school and asks questions about that night. The killer is after someone else. Another student is murdered. The FBI are brought in. The coroner says that the dead students were all virgins. The Sheriff calls a town meeting for the parents.

Jody is at school while the meeting is taking place. She is talking to her teacher, Mr. Marliston(Mohr). She thinks that she sees someone lurking around. He goes to look, but there is nobody there. The killer is there though. Jody hears the Sheriff talking about the virgin thing. She
finds her friend dead. The killer comes out and chases her. She fights him. She tells her dad and he looks around but the killer has fled. Jody tells him what the killer looks like and the Sheriff faxes a picture to the FBI. All of the kids start having sex to save themselves. There is a local woman called Lora Lee Sherman and she is a suspect in the killings. Jody asks her mother about Laura. She looks up old newspapers for information. Lora Lee was raped by four men and nobody was charged. She tells her that two of the men still live in the town. One of them is the principal of her school and the other one is her father.

The killer murders the principal and knocks out the Sheriff. It turns out that the killer is Mr. Marliston. He has captured the Sheriff. Jody goes to see him and she finds out what he has done. He grabs her and ties her up. Kenny is looking for her and he sees her bike outside Marliston's house and wonders what is going on. It turns out that Marliston is Lora Lee's son. He is angry because of what the rape did to his mother and in turn him. He says that one of the rapists is his dad. It could even be the Sheriff, who participated in the rape. He wanted to get revenge by making all of the kids lose their virginity. There is a fight between the Sheriff and Marliston when Kenny arrives to save Jody.
Marliston kills the Sheriff.

There is a mass orgy on at the school and Jody and Kenny go there. Marliston follows and scares everyone when he bursts in, dressed as Lora Lee. He gets killed when the Deputy Sheriff shows up and shoots him after Jody impaled him on railings. Jody and her mother decide not to reveal the real story behind Marliston's killing spree and they are going to leave town. Jody thinks that she sees someone who is dressed like Lora Lee. The movie ends. This was a decent horror movie. I enjoyed it, even though there is not much originality about it and it is more of a teen horror movie than an adult one. I did think that it was entertaining and fun and it had a good cast. If you enjoy slashers, then you will like this one. I recommend it and I will give it a 6/10.

The Walking Dead, Season 8, Episode 13

This episode starts with Morgan, who is having hallucinations. The Saviours are arriving. Henry wants to join in the fight but Ezekiel tells him that he can't. Maggie catches some Saviours. She calls for Negan on the walkie talkie but Simon answers. She tells him to retreat or she will kill the prisoners. Simon doesn't care and he decides to attack anyway. Tara gets spotted. Simon sends Dwight to get her. The Saviours enter Hilltop but they get surrounded and there is a big fight. Dwight, Simon and some others escape. Dwight manages to shoot Tara in the arm. At Hilltop, one of the survivors turns and kills the doctor. Other people start to turn into walkers.

Everything goes a bit crazy. Henry gets a gun and he demands to know who killed his brother. He threatens the prisoners to find out. Rick, Morgan and Daryl have to kill their own people because they have turned. They realise that the Saviours used walker blood to infect their people. Tara was shot with an arrow, so she thinks that she might have been infected. A Saviour called Aiden helps Maggie. He tells her that some of the prisoners wants to stay at Hilltop and not return to the Sanctuary. The episode ends with Ezekiel and Carol looking for Henry, who has disappeared.

This episode was pretty good. There was lots happening and it moved the story forward a bit.

Dead Snow: Red Vs Dead is a 2014 horror movie sequel to Dead Snow. It is directed by Tommy Wirkola and it stars Vegar Hoel and Martin Starr.

There is a recap of the first movie and Martin(Hoel) is shown to be alive. He is the only survivor he was bitten by one of the zombies. He had to take off his arm with a chainsaw to avoid becoming one of them. He is in a car and the Nazi zombies are attacking him. He escapes them when Herzog gets hit by a lorry and Martin throws away the coin that he had from the end of the first movie. Herzog's severed arm ends up in the car. The zombie is not dead though. He gets up and he takes the coin. Martin thinks that he is safe. The zombies assemble. Martin crashes his car and he ends up in hospital. The police want to speak with him. They ask him about his dead friends. They think that he is responsible for their deaths. He tells them about the Nazi zombies, but they don't believe him. Herzog's arm has been attached. Martin is horrified. He escapes from the hospital as he has new strength thanks to his arm. Unfortunately, he kills people and he is sedated and strapped to his hospital bed.

The zombies start killing. They have a new doctor and he has fixed up Herzog, the leader. He starts to raise the dead soldiers . Martin is the only one who knows what is coming. Martin meets a guy called Bobby who is taking pictures for his friends online who believe in zombies. Martin asks him to let him out. Bobby tells him about his friends who are the Zombie Squad. Martin gets out and his arm throws Bobby out of the window. Martin is on the run now. He contacts the Zombie Squad for help. There are only three of them- Daniel(Starr), Monica and Blake. They tell him that they will come over to Norway from the US. They get their weapons ready. The zombies are after Martin as well as the police.

Martin visits a World War 2 museum and he asks the gift shop guy, Glenn, about the German exhibits. Martin wants to find out more about Herzog. He finds out that he was on a mission for Hitler. He was killed. Martin finds out that his mission was to destroy the village of Talvik and it still is his mission. The zombies show up and Herzog reanimates more corpses. He gets into the war museum and he takes all of the artifacts, including a tank. Martin and Glenn hide and they escape. The zombies also take a map with them. Martin discovers that he can reanimate corpses also. The zombie squad arrive. Martin is disillusioned when he realises there are only three. The zombies are coming. They come up with a plan for Martin to reanimate Soviet soldiers who had been killed by Herzog. They will fight.

Some of the others try and distract Herzog to give Martin some time. They get attacked and they have to withdraw. Herzog continues on his way. Martin confronts Herzog in Talvik and he brings his Russian dead with him. There is a battle but the Nazis get the upper hand and destroy the Russians.
They realise that Herzog needs to be killed in order to stop the zombies. Herzog faces off with Martin. Glenn gets killed. Monica and Blake are outnumbered. Daniel rolls in with the tank and he blows off Herzog's head. All of the zombies fall. His head lands somewhere in the mountains. Martin is not put in prison as the police saw the zombies and the battle. He heads off to reanimate his girlfriend, Hanna, who was killed in the first movie. He and Hanna have sex. The film ends with someone discovering Herzog's head and he is still alive.

This was a great film. I loved how it just kept flying along. There were no dull moments in this one.
Like the original, it has a sense of humour but plenty of horror also. The zombies were good and the story was fun. I liked how they brought back a survivor for this and the idea of him having powers was interesting. If you liked the first film, I know that you will enjoy this. I certainly did and I highly recommend this one. It is fun and gory and it will satisfy any horror fan. I will give it a 7/10.

Night of the Demons Movie Review

Night of the Demons is a 1988 horror movie directed by Kevin S. Tenney and starring Cathy Podewell, Amelia Kinkade and Linnea Quigley.

The movie begins with a girl called Angela(Kinkade), an unpopular weirdo who is having a party with her pal Suzanne(Quigley) at a place called Hull House, which has a gruesome history and is supposed to be haunted. A group of friends are going to go to her party. They are Judy(Podewell), her boyfriend Jay, Max and Frannie. Another group are also coming. They are Stooge, Roger and Helen. An ex boyfriend of Judy called Sal also turns up. Angela wants to play party games and have a seance. They all decide to do it. They have to look into a mirror and when Helen does, she sees her own death and freaks out. The mirror breaks and something is unleashed in the house. It possesses Suzanne.

Roger gets nervous and he wants to leave. He takes Helen with him and they try to get away. Suzanne is acting strangely and she kisses Angela.  Roger and Helen can't leave. Then Helen disappears.
He locks himself into the car. Jay and Judy fall out when she discovers that he just wants her for sex.
She gets locked into a room. Suzanne is changing. So is Angela. She dances with Stooge and kisses him. She also bites off his tongue. Sal finds Suzanne. She is acting weird and he decides he wants to go.  Helen gets killed and Roger sees her and runs off. Jay and Suzanne are together and they are going to have sex. She is a demon, though and she pokes out his eyes. Stooge is also a demon and he kills Max and Frannie.

Roger, Sal and Judy have to stick together as everyone else is either dead or a demon. Angela is floating around after them.  Sal gets killed running away from her. Judy and Roger try and escape from the demons who are after them. The dead bodies reanimate and chases them too. They have to try and escape underground and get away from the house and the grounds. They make it out just as the sun comes up. This movie was very entertaining. There were some great scenes and I liked it a lot.  I liked the story and the cast were not bad either. I had fun with this and I found it enjoyable overall. I can see why people like this film and it is a must for horror fans, especially fans of 80's horror. I recommend it and I will give it a 7/10.

Dwight isn't too happy with the way that Simon is talking. He seems to be turning against Negan. Rick is watching their convoy and decides to tackle Negan. He crashes his car into Negan's and there is a chase. He wants to get him. Dwight and Simon see this and they go looking for Negan.
Rick almost gets Negan a couple of times. He shoots at him but he just can't hit him. He runs out of ammo, so he uses his hatchet, but Negan seems to keep eluding him.

She gives Georgie what she wants and Georgie hands her notes on how to build up their community so that they can survive. She also gives Maggie some of the food she has as she can see that they are in trouble. She leaves after telling Maggie to build the place into a community.

Negan and Rick are still facing off. Negan discovers what happened to the Scavengers and he is not happy with Simon.Rick manages to grab Lucille and he comes after Negan with her. He doesn't get Negan. Negan escapes after managing to get his beloved bat back. Rick has been foiled again.Simon and Dwight think that Negan has gone. Simon is intent on replacing him. He wants to be the boss. Dwight is horrified as he knows what Simon is like and how he likes to kill. He wants to go to Hilltop and kill everyone there. Negan gets taken by Jadis and knocked out.

This was a good episode with lots happening. Things are beginning to come to a conclusion now. The Negan storyline will end soon.
