Worst Stephen King Adaptations

Well, what can I say about the worst Stephen King adaptations? For a start, I am a huge fan on his and I am not inclined to dislike anything written by him, but when filmmakers ruin something by just changing the story etc then I have to say that I don't like it. Here are the movies that I consider to be below par and not great. You might not agree with me, but in my opinion, they aren't good.

Firstly, the remake of Carrie(2002). There was no need for a remake and it wasn't up to much. I like the original and this rehash wasn't good at all. Then we had some sort of a sequel called The Rage:Carrie 2(1999)! What the hell is it with all of the sequels to Children of the Corn(1984)? I liked the first sequel and then it began to get ridiculous. We had Children of the Corn 3: Urban Harvest(1995), Children of the Corn 4: The Gathering(1996),Children of the Corn 5:Fields of Terror(1998) and Children of the Corn 666:Isaac's Return(1999) and lastly and hopefully it WILL be the last, Children of the Corn 7:Revelation(2001). Come on, why so many crappy sequels???They weren't even good sequels like the Friday the 13th or the Saw series!

Then we come to another lot of sequels which were not a patch on the original. We have Sometimes they Come back...Again(1996) and Sometimes they Come Back...For More(1998). They were not great movies and it is a pity because I loved the original Sometimes They Come Back(1991). One movie I hated was Riding the Bullet(2004). It was complete rubbish and as I had read the story, it was all changed and everything was different. I was not a fan of that movie. Another movie I was not a fan of was The Mangler(1995) and I was horrified to find out that there were sequels!!!! The Mangler 2(2001) was a mess and The Mangler Reborn(2005) was not a movie I would watch again.

Another film I wasn't very pleased with was Graveyard Shift(1990). I thought that it wasn't very well made and I didn't like it at all. It could have been better. The Night Flier(1997) didn't do much for me and I did not enjoy it. Firestarter: Rekindled(2002) is another pointless sequel with nothing to add to the original. There was also another pointless sequel, Pet Sematary 2(1992).

That is all I can think of, but if I remember any more, I will post them soon..Let me know your least favourite Stephen King adaptations ..

Long Weekend 1978 Movie Review

I have already completed a review of the remake of Long Weekend so now I will do a review of the original. This movie is directed by Colin Eggleston and it stars John Hargreaves and BrionyBehets. This is an Australian movie and it is very good. I would consider it better than the remake.

So, if you have seen the remake, you already know the story, but I am going to go over it again, just in case. Peter(Hargreaves) and Marcia (Behets) are a married couple who are not getting on very well. They decide to take a camping trip to try and spend some quality time together. We see that they do not have much regard for nature. Peter hits a kangaroo while they are on their way and thinks nothing of it. They stop at a local store and they buy a few things. Peter asks the locals about this beach he is looking for, but nobody seems to know it. The locals look at them as they drive away..

They arrive at their destination late and they drive around, trying to find somewhere to camp. They have to sleep in the car that night, but the next morning, Peter finds a nice spot. They find the beach and they are amazed by the beauty of it. Peter goes swimming in the water while Marcia keeps watch on the beach. She seems something black in the water with him and she screams at him to get out, thinking that it might be a shark. She asks him if he heard noises last night, but he dismisses it. We see Marcia and Peter abusing nature. Marcia uses insecticide on some ants and kills them. Suddenly, a dart from Peter's harpoon flies out, almost killing her. We see Peter throwing bottles into the sea. He finds a barbie doll washed up on the beach. They also see a van parked on the beach further down.

Peter gets back in the water and Marcia sees the black shape again. This time, he gets his gun and he shoots at it, hitting his target. Marcia wants to go home. They find that all of their food has gone off. Marcia is getting scared at this point. They find an eagle egg and later, a eagle attacks Peter. They assume that she was after her egg. Marcia freaks out and she fires the egg at a tree, smashing it and killing the baby bird. She decides that she is going but Peter won't tell her how she can start the car as he has done something to the battery. That night, Peter is outside and he sees a possum eating their grapes. He hands it one,but it bites his hand instead. They both decide to leave in the morning. Marcia goes for a walk while Peter packs the car. She sees something on the beach. It is a sea cow and it is dead. They realise that that was the noises that they had been hearing.

Peter wants to look and see if there is anyone in the van that was on the beach. They argue and it comes out that Marcia had an affair and that she was pregnant, but had a abortion. They blame each other and she tells him that she is going to file for divorce. Peter continues to look for the van,but it has vanished. Peter finds a tent with a dog inside it. The dog is not friendly so he leaves. He finds Marcia heading towards the water and he stops her. He jumps into the sea and he finds the van underwater with dead people inside it. They want to leave but can't find their dog. The dog appears but Marcia drives off and leaves Peter in the middle of the bush. She drives away and she tries to find her way out of the bush. Birds fly at her windscreen, cracking it. She stops the car and jumps out. The dog begins barking and Peter goes to see what it is. He sees the sea cow and it is closer to his camp. He shoots it again.

He finds Marcia's shoe and it freaks him out. He has his harpoon with him and he shoots at something in the bushes. The next morning, he sees that Marcia is dead with a dart sticking out of her. He discovers the car and he drives away with his dog. He is driving around in circles and he has to jump out of the car and go on foot.
He runs and tries to find some sign of life. He is confronted by the real horror of angry nature. Snakes hiss at him, birds fly at him in anger for his reckless mistreatment of the beautiful world around him. He is confronted by nature which will never let him off the hook. He stumbles onto a road and he sees a truck coming. The truck driver is attacked by a bird and he can't see Peter standing on the road. Peter is hit by the truck and killed. Nature has her revenge.. I liked this film much more than the weak remake. There is an eerie atmosphere about it and you know that the characters are not going to get away from their fate...I am giving it an 8/10.

Night of the Living Dead 1968 Movie Review

So, this is where it all began. In 1968, George A. Romero made a low-budget indie movie called Night of the Living Dead and he launched a horror genre that has been around ever since. I was never a huge zombie fan,but I have come around since seeing these movies and I am now a fan.

This movie begins with a young man, Johnny(Russell Streiner) and Barbra(Judith O Dea) who are in Pennsylvania to visit the grave of their father. Barbra is clearly not comfortable with cemeteries and Johnny makes fun of her. Suddenly an old man(S. William Hinzman) comes towards them and he grabs Barbra. Johnny steps in and tries to fend him off, but the old man throws him against a headstone and Johnny hits his head and he dies. Barbra runs away from the old man who looks very strange and eerily pale. She runs to the car and tries to get away, but there are no keys in it. She lets it roll down the hill but it hits a tree.

She has to escape on foot from then on. She finds a farmhouse and it seems to be deserted. To her horror, she seems more people like the old man and they seem to be intent on getting her. She finds the body of somebody in the house and it is mutilated terribly. Barbra tries to escape and she runs into Ben(Duane Jones) who drives up in his truck and attacks a 'thing' with a tyre iron. They go into the house and he tries to talk to Barbra who seems to be lost in her thoughts. She is scares and she doesn't speak for ages as Ben tries to get some sense out of her. She eventually tells him what happened. Ben finds a radio and tries to get some information and he finds a rifle too. They discover that there are more people in the cellar.

Harry Cooper(Karl Hardman) and his wife Helen(Marilyn Eastman) are in the cellar with their daughter Karen(Kyra Schon). Karen has been bitten by one of the things and she is sick. Also in the cellar is young man Tom(Keith Wayne) and his girlfriend Judy(Judith Ridley). Harry wants them all to stay in the cellar but Ben is not convinced that that it the way to go. They argue over it. The others want to listen to Ben so they come upstairs. Ben finds a TV and they watch the broadcasts. The things are everywhere and they are eating human flesh. They say that the 'things' are the dead coming back to life. People are told to aim for their head when trying to kill them. There are groups of men roaming the country trying to kill them.

They come up with a plan to get out to a gas pump in the back and fill the truck so that they can get away. Harry is supposed to make Molotov cocktails are fire them out the top window to distract the 'things'. Tom goes out to do it but his girlfriend follows him. Tom messes up and spills gasoline everywhere and the truck ends up exploding. Ben witnesses it as he waits on the porch and when he tries to get back inside, Harry won't let him in. Ben bursts in anyway and he beats Harry. Poor Tom and Judy end up as barbecue for the things and they are eaten. They attack the house and the others try and hold them back. Ben finally kills Harry who is no good to help. He dies in the cellar. Helen is down there with her daughter who turns into a thing. She kills her mother.

Things go from bad to worse as the things finally get inside the house taking Barbra away as she sees her undead brother. Ben has to go back to the cellar and lock himself inside after telling the others that they were better off upstairs.. Harry and Helen spring back to life and he has to dispose of them. He waits in the cellar hoping that he will get rescued eventually. The next morning, the posse has reached the area and they are killing off the things by the dozen. Ben hears the noises and he comes up to look out the window. He is shot by the men who assume that he is a thing. He dies and he is put on the fire and burned with the other things.. I liked this movie a lot. There is a bit of everything in it- zombies, tension, a tragic ending...It was entertaining and it is hard to believe that it is over 40 years old!! I am going to give this one a 9/10.

Paranormal Activity Movie Review 70

Well, this movie was a total surprise. I hadn't heard much about it only that it was doing well at the box office. Usually, that means nothing to me anyway. It is kind of like The Blair Witch Project in a lot of ways. The movie is filmed with a hand held camera and a lot is left up to the imagination which is a good thing, in my opinion. The movie stars total unknowns and that benefits it as we really believe that the characters are real people and not actors. It is directed by Oren Peli who hasn't done much.

It is September 2006 in San Diego, California. A couple, Katie(Katie Featherston) and Micah(Micah Sloat) are living in a nice house but there is one big problem. They keep hearing noises etc and Katie is sure that she is being haunted by an entity. Micah decides to film everything that happens in the house to have a record of what is going on as he doesn't believe in ghosts etc. At night, they hear footsteps outside their bedroom and the next day, they have arranged for a psychic to come and help them. The psychic arrives and he talks to them about what is happening. He asks Katie if something like this has happened before and she tells him that when she was a child, something happened to her and she saw a ghost or something. Her house burned down and there was never an explanation for it.

She tells the psychic that there are noises etc every night and that the thing knows her name.
The psychic thinks that there is a demon in the house and he tells her that he can't help her but he gives her the number of a demonologist who might be able to come and help them. That night, the door to their bedroom opens by itself while they are asleep. Micah looks up demons on the Internet. The next few nights, the noises get worse and louder and they hear whispering. Katie gets up one night and she sleepwalks downstairs and sits in a chair outside. She can't remember anything the next day. They are both scared now.

Micah foolishly buys a Ouija board and Katie freaks out. She tells him to get it out of the house.
While they are out, it goes on fire and when they come back, there are strange markings on it.
Micah tries to figure out what they are. Katie wants him to get rid of it and she wants to call the demonologist but he won't let her(why not? I would be out of that house so fast you wouldn't see me for dust!). Micah uses the old trick of putting powder on the floors outside their door and seeing if it is disturbed during the night. The next morning, there is footprints in their bedroom.
The attic door is open. Micah goes up into the attic and comes down with a picture of Katie when she was a child. Katie is very upset about this.

They finally call the demonologist but he is out on a case so they call the psychic again. That night, there are more strange happenings. Micah shows her some footage from the Internet of a woman who was possessed by a demon and she died. Katie is even more freaked out. That night, she is dragged out of bed and down the stairs. Micah runs after her and gets her back. She has bite marks on her. They decide to leave. They are all ready to go when she changes her mind.
She wants to stay now. I won't ruin the ending for you. There are two endings as far as I know and I saw one which I liked, but I guess everyone has a different idea on how it should have ended.

I liked this movie a lot as it is not the usual monster- chasing- teens movie and it lets us make up our mind what is going on and why. That makes the movie even scarier in my opinion. I love these types of movies and I would recommend this to any horror fan. I can guarantee that this movie will stay with you for a while after you have watched it, which is a good thing...It gets a healthy 9/10 from me.

Jennifer's Body Movie Review 69

Okay, the first thing that I will say about this movie is that it is crap. I am going to say that straight away. There is nothing that I liked about it and I would be extremely happy never to see it again. It was totally lacking any sort of imagination or scares. That is MY opinion. If you liked it, then you are easily pleased.

So, most people will have heard of this movie already due to the fact that Megan Fox stars in it and if you are a fan of hers, then you will love this film as it just a vehicle for her to walk around looking hot. There is supposed to be some kind of humour in this, but I really didn't get it at all and I was very surprised at how dreadful it was. The movie begins with a young girl, Needy(Amanda Seyfried) who is in a mental institution. She tells the story of how she got there. Her pal was Jennifer(Megan Fox) and she was a cheerleader etc. They go to some bar one night and meet a music band who Jennifer takes off with in a van after the bar goes up in flames. Needy is worried about her pal who shows up later that night covered in blood. So, it seems she has changed. She seems to be some kind of vampire or something.

Needy doesn't know what to do about it. She still hangs out with her and Jennifer tells her the story of what happened with the band that night. The band sacrificed her in some ritual so that they would have fame and fortune. They didn't manage to kill her though and she has gotten powers etc including the power to heal herself and to eat her fellow classmates. So, she begins to chomp her way through the airheads and idiots. At this point, I wished that someone would come along and put her out of her misery... But, I hung in there and I waited to see what was going to happen next. Of course, Jennifer decides that Chip(Johnny Simmons) is next on the menu. But, Chip is Needy's boyfriend.Needy tries to save him, but she is too late. Chip survives long enough to impale Jennifer with something but then he dies...

Needy wants revenge and she tries to kill Jennifer. She finally manages to. Jennifer's mother comes into the room and sees what Needy has done and Needy ends up in the mental institution. So, the movie ends with Needy breaking out of the institution because she now has powers too. She was bitten by Jennifer and she is the same as her now..Hmm, original... She goes after the rock band and she kills them all as revenge for what happened to Jennifer and herself.. That's the end. By this point, I was sorry that I ever decided to watch it and I would not recommend this to anybody but Megan Fox fans(hence the picture above). This is getting no score as I really hated it..

Happy 1st Birthday Jigsaws Lair!!!!

On this day a year ago Jigsaws Lair was born! I cannot believe it has been a year already. For a while before this blog started I was commenting and reviewing on IMDB and other peoples blogs. That was fun but I began to think that it would be nice to have them all in one place. Then I said I may as well start up a blog. The problem was that I knew nothing about how to do it and what it involves. After researching it all on the net I started up this page that you are looking at right now Jigsaws Lair. My original gripe with reviews on the net is its hard to know what is worth watching and getting information about a movie.Sometimes all you want to know is what the movies about, who is in it and should you spend your time watching it.That is my whole ethos here at Jigsaws Lair.

I am just a regular guy who likes a good movie that will keep me entertained for the usual hour and a half.I am not a Revolutionary Road kind of guy as you may have seen from my review!! Though I gave it a chance like any other film.I went into seeing it with an open mind but came out thoroughly bored.I would say there are a lot of people like me who thought the same thing about it but nearly every review says the movie is brilliant.I use this movie as an example of what you can see online. You might read a review of it and think, well Leonardo Dicaprio is in it and they say its great so it must be good.Still if you do like that type of movie then you will know the plot and who is in it by the end of my review. That is what I think most people want to know when they look up a movie online. You might not care what we think about a movie but at least you will get information about it and you can go make up your own mind. That's why I like to hear what other people thought of movies we have seen so your comments are always welcome.

So I started setting up the blog...........what would I call it? Who would visit? Who did I want to visit? As I love the Saw movie franchise I christened myself Jigsaw and Jigsaws Lair was a natural title.I wanted movie fans that don't just watch the number one film at the box office and nothing else to visit.Obviously people who like Saw and movies like that. The only drawback to calling the blog Jigsaws Lair is people assume I only like horror movies.I love Sci Fi stuff in particular also but I would watch any movie such as comedies and thrillers too.I do not like the pigeon hole of horror movie blog so I began to review books I read and TV shows that I watch also.I figured that people would be like me also and like one blog with a lot of entertainment on it.It turns out that I am right as can be seen from visitors who look at everything I put up on the blog. The main focus of the blog is and always will be movie reviews though.

I like to comment on anything that happens in the world so things that I feel strongly about, such as the election of President Obama, can get a post also which may seem a bit weird to some on an entertainment blog.I reserve the right to put anything I like on my blog though and as you can see under the title of the blog it says "A trip into my Lair for an examination of who and what is worthy".I'm not here to preach or convert anyone to what I think so do not take posts like that that way.I love a good debate so your comments are always welcome even if you totally disagree with me.You might say to yourself that you love Obama and you don't care what I think and that's fine too.You might just like the reviews that I do and nothing else so keep visiting!!

So, thank you for reading and visiting this blog and I hope you enjoy it at least a little bit as I really enjoy writing it!!! Thanks to Amanda also for great contributions!! I would like to thank the 61 followers of the blog and the 100 or so Feedburner readers!! I would like also to thank in particular the following........ Colonel Creedon of Whopper's Bunker Gene of The Sci-Fi Gene Mish of Mish Sci Fi Musings Freddy of Freddy in Space

The Crazies Movie Trailer!

This trailer is for a movie called The Crazies. Heard that name before? Well, you would have. This is another remake! From looking at the trailer, it seems okay, but you never know. I will reserve my judgement. It stars Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell and it is about a small town whose water supply is contaminated by toxins. People begin to go mad and do crazy things.... Enjoy the trailer. This movie isn't going to be released until next year..

Avatar Movie Trailer!

This movie is directed by James Cameron and it stars Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana and Giovanni Ribisi. It is about a man, Jake who is brought to another planet to try and mix with another race etc. From the trailer, it looks pretty good and I would say that this will be great fun. It is out in December so it will be just in time for Christmas! Enjoy the trailer!

The Skeptic Movie Review 68

First of all, I would like to say that I liked this movie. It hasn't gotten great reviews, but it was a lot better than some movies I have seen lately. It stars Tim Daly and Tom Arnold and it is directed by Tennyson Bardwell(What a name!).

The story is pretty basic. Bryan Becket(Tim Daly) is a hotshot lawyer who is a total sceptic. He doesn't believe in anything. His aunt dies in her house and he is delighted because he thinks that the house will go to him. He starts pricing everything in the house and seeing how much money he can make out of it. His pal is Sully(Tom Arnold) and he feels that there is something weird about the house. Sully does believe in the supernatural etc and he thinks that Bryan should be more careful. Bryan dismisses this. He is arguing with his wife, Robin(Andrea Roth) and he tells her that they need time apart. He decides to stay in the house for a while. Bryan moves himself into the house but that is when weird things start to happen. He hears noises etc and he discovers a locked door upstairs.

Bryan finds out that his aunt has left the house to some institute for the paranormal. He discovers that his aunt was interested in all things spooky and that she thought her house was haunted. Bryan does not believe any of it. He thinks that the institute duped his aunt into believing it and that they wanted her house all along. When he returns to the house, the locked door is open. He goes inside and he discovers all religious items. He gets locked inside and he freaks out, but then he discovers that he had caught his coat in the door. He hears weird noises that night. He visits the institute again and he apologizes for what he said. He tells the doctor that he heard things and the doctor tells him that he probably imagined it.

He meets an old priest, Father Wymond(Robert Prosky in his last movie) who knew his aunt and they talk about the house. The priest warns him about the house. Bryan is not impressed. Sully thinks that Bryan is cracking up and that he needs a break. Bryan finds an old truck in the basement. He begins to see things in the house such as a woman sitting in a chair and he hears whispering. He sees a woman at the bottom of the stairs and when he asks the doctor he tells him to seek help which he does. We find out that Bryan's mother died when he was young and they lived in the house. He is haunted by her death ever since. One of the patients at the institute, Cassie(Zoe Saldana) comes to stay as she wants to see if the house is haunted. She tells him that someone died in the house and they look around. Cassie tells him that the house is waking up and that his mother is in the house.

Bryan begins to have a breakdown. They look in the old trunk that he found and they find a doll in it. He remembers it from his childhood. He meets with the old priest again and the priest tells him about his mother and how she used to mistreat him as a child. He doesn't want to remember. He speaks again with his psychiatrist Dr Shepard(Edward Herrman) and he tells Bryan that his aunt was suffering from dementia and that Bryan left his toys on the stairs when he was a boy and his mother slipped on them and fell down the stairs and died. Bryan decides that he needs to leave the house. He goes back into the house to find Cassie but she has already left. He can't seem to escape from the house. He manages to fall down the stairs and he dies. He sees a vision of his mother who is waiting for him with tears in her eyes...Here is a picture of Zoe Saldana....Enjoy!

This movie was good enough for a low-budget affair. It was entertaining and it kept me watching. I have seen some very bad reviews of this movie, but it was a good movie, I thought. I am going to give it a 7/10.

The First Power Movie Review 67

This is an old movie from 1990 and it stars Lou Diamond Phillips(pictured below) and Tracy Griffith. It is directed by Robert Resnikoff who hasn't done much since.

The movie begins with a nun telling some priests that evil is coming and that there are Satanic murders happening because His power is growing. Bodies are begin found with pentagrams on them. The priests think that she is just getting carried away and they tell her to go back to her convent and go into seclusion. Meanwhile, cop Logan(Lou Diamond Phillips) receives a call while he is trying to work out where the pentagram killer will strike next. A woman tells him where the killer is going to be and they stake it out. The killer doesn't appear at first, but then he takes a female cop down to his hideout and gets ready to kill her. Logan finds his hideaway and they fight. Logan gets shot in the stomach, but he catches the killer who is called Patrick Channing(Jeff Kober-pictured below).

Earlier, Logan had promised the woman on the phone that he would not kill Channing or get the death penalty, but he changes his mind and Channing gets death. Channing seems happy to be getting the death penalty and he tells Logan that he will see him around. Logan is unsettled by this. The woman calls him and tells him that he has made the wrong choice and that he was warned. Logan witnesses Channing's death and he has nightmares about it later. He begins to see things. The lady cop he rescued from Channing turns up dead. It looks as if the pentagram killer is back, but he is dead! He meets the woman who called him, psychic Tess Seaton(Tracy Griffith-pictured below) and she tells him that the lady cop was killed by Channing. She tells him that Channing knows about her and he is coming for her.

The cops bring in some junkie who they say killed the cop, but Logan wonders. Logan and his partner, Franklin(Mykelti Williamson) go to Tess' house and look around. They find a file on Logan. She is furious when she sees them snooping. She looks at Franklin and she tells him that he is is danger and he is worried. She has an idea where Channing is and they all go. They are waiting for him when Franklin is killed by a runaway horse. Tess knows that it was Channing. They try to get Channing but he is gone.Logan is taken off the case and Grimes is put on it instead. Logan goes to a church and he goes into the confessional. He thinks that he is talking to a priest but Channing turns up like a bad penny. They fight again. Logan asks Tess what is happening and she tells him that Channing can possess bodies and get others to do his dirty work for him. They decide to go and see the nun who knew about it.There was a nice ginger cat in this movie, so I have included a picture of it having it's dinner!!

She won't help them so they go to Channing's house where his grandmother is and they pretend that they are reporters. They find out that Patrick's mother was molested by her dad and that Patrick was the issue from that incestuous relationship. The grandmother works it out and she throws them out. They find Channing's hideout. The nun decides to help them and she takes something from the church which will destroy Channing. Tess has a vision of Channing and they go to find him. He appears at a warehouse and tries to kill Tess. They escape and go back to Tess' place where Channing bursts in and takes Tess with him. Logan has to find her and he gets the nun to help him. She gives his a crucifix with a dagger on the end on it. It will destroy Channing. Logan finds Tess and he fights with Channing . Channing goes into the nun and everything gets confusing. Logan tries to fight back by revealing what he knows about Patrick's childhood. He kills Channing or at least he thinks that he has. He has to kill the nun to get Channing which he does. The cops come and shoot him, but he survives and he is in hospital. Tess is with him when she has a vision of him trying to kill her. She realises that Channing is still here and this time, he is in Logan!!!

This movie was good. It was entertaining and Lou Diamond Phillips was good in it. I am going to give this one a 7/10.

Seventh Moon Movie Review 66

This movie is directed by Eduardo Sanchez who also wrote and directed The Blair Witch Project which I have reviewed. It is hard to believe that the same guy who directed that classic movie also directed this inferior movie..
It stars Amy Smart and Dennis Chan from Kickboxer. The movie begins with a couple on honeymoon in China. Ping(Chan) is driving them to somewhere. The couple are drinking and they get drunk and fall asleep. Ping gets lost and he has to go and get help. They are in the middle of nowhere in some remote village. He leaved the couple in the car.The woman,Melissa(Amy Smart) is awake and she is spooked by the village. There seems to be nobody living in the houses. Yul(Tim Chiou) wakes up and they wonder what to do. They decide to go and find Ping. They look around and the houses are all abandoned. There doesn't seem to be anyone around. They hear voices and get scared so they go back to the car, which is covered in blood. They decide to drive off and get help.
They argue and they want to get to another village or town. They turn on the radio and some guy is talking about blood and sacrifice etc. Someone runs in front of their car and they swerve and the car ends up stuck in the mud. Melissa asks Yul to get out and push. They manage to get the car unstuck but they hear wailing. They begin to blame each other for what has happened and they hit a man. They get out and ask him if he is okay but he seems to be frightened. They put him into the car and some creatures come out of the darkness. They drive off but get stuck in the mud again! They get out of the car and walk around and they see the ghosts/creatures. They find an old house and go inside. There are dead animals everywhere. They find another house and bang on the door to be let in, but the people will not let them in.
They discover a barn and look inside for something to sacrifice for the ghosts who seem to want blood to be satisfied. The man hits Yul on the head and tries to drag him outside for the ghosts to eat, but Melissa stops him. Something bangs on the door and they have to hide. The ghosts enter and they search for fresh meat. They find the man and they chase him while Yul and Melissa escape. They creep around and get back to the car. The man comes to the car and bangs to be let in as the ghosts take him. The monsters jump on the car and start smashing it so Melissa and Yul climb into the trunk and get out. They are chased by the ghosts. They hide in a house which turns out to be a tomb. There is a voice telling them to go to a house which they do. There are people there and they are told that they will be safe. They have some sort of dream where they are kissing etc and then they wake up outside, tied up.

They try to free themselves and the ghosts come up to them. Yul tells them to take him and leave Melissa alone. They do take him and she is left. She goes back into the house. Her clothes are ready for her. She sees Ping in the house and she goes mad and attacks him. He tells her that on the seventh moon, the ghosts come to the village looking for blood and they need people to offer up. They had become sick of offering their own people so they look for outsiders to sacrifice. The ghosts take Yul to a special place to sacrifice him and Melissa follows them. She finds their place and she tries to free him,but she is too late. He can't resist becoming one of them now so he tells her to leave. Ping turns up and tells her how to get out. She escapes as the ghosts chase her. The sun comes up and they vanish. She sees her husband who is now one of them and he says goodbye and disappears. Melissa is left alone. If you like Amy Smart, here is a nice pic that I have put in.....Enjoy..

This movie wasn't good. It was pretty bad really. I thought that it would be better, but I found it quite silly and the camerawork almost drove me insane. It was choppy and the ghosts were the only good part of it and also the fact that it was set in China which was interesting. I would not watch it again. I am giving it a 3/10.

My Cat drinking Irish Whiskey!!!!!

To celebrate Halloween I decided to have a drink! Then I was joined by my cat Kitty who promptly stole my drink the minute my back was turned!!! She gets very thirsty sometimes and I should have known better to leave my drink unattended! Who would have known that she has a taste for some Irish Whiskey?? Fortunately, I had my camera at the ready to document the event for you! The music playing over the video is from Irish drinking songs for cat lovers and is by Marc Gunn. I advise you to check out his website and buy some of his stuff as it is very good indeed! His website is here!

Before you comment thinking that I am crazy, it is only water that she is drinking of course!!!!
